  1. That center sticker sucks. My truck likes the bio diesel. I got my trucks best mileage on 3 different occasions running bio mass diesel. That was how the pump was labeled 4 or so years ago either bio diesel or bio mass diesel. I got 22.4 mpg out of that sruff running 70 mph down the interstate. I repeated that twice from the same station out in Chattanooga Tenn. And one more time out of Nashville Tenn. Both places labeled bio mass diesel. Sadly I dont see that stuff labeled like that any more and those new labels, you just dont know what your getting. Mine likes any of it but I would like to know what I am running. Bio diesel at 5% or more ismbettermthan 2 stroke. But the pumps dont have to be labeled 5% or less so you dont really know if you are getting it. The Loves Travel center I built had a seperate bio tank and can mix it at whatever quantity the want. And they receive 50 cents agallon subsidy of your tax dollars to sell it.
  2. I let a 12 gauge do my chicken grounding.
  3. Throw a little water/meth injection with the propane to cool it down.
  4. I dont haul chickens, thats the "executive" hood ornament.
  5. My replacement was a 4g. It is a little longer than the old. I had move the mounting braket about 3/4" to rear to fit.
  6. I drove my friends 01 ford for about a week. It would not start at 35* without being plugged in.
  7. It's official. The chicken is now driving the Chicken Truck.
  8. The ones I have cleaned I dont take them to bare metal unless it is already bare metal. I just hit them with scrubby and sometimes put a new screw in them. But there are so darn many of I just get them when i come across them.
  9. I think G100. Sure looks like it. This looking straight down in front of the battery. Sure brings new meaning to cleaning all your grounds. I have not touched half of mine if I am lucky.
  10. Fuel pressure is one of the keys for the VP trucks. Keeps the pump happy. Then if you shove a lot of power out of the engine, the drive train better be able to handle it.
  11. Well I have to throw one more at you. I got this when I went to 4 gauges. Very readable and I still like it. Going to reinstall my 2 gauge pod on the A pillar just for a bit more visibility. Looks even better with the new bezel.
  12. Well if I live long enough we can open the top end up again at 900k and see what that filter does on its own. Maybe we ought to shoot for 700k. Might still be breathing then.
  13. The one thing I reccomend is snugging your cross over tubes/fuel lines into the injector before torquing the hold down on the injector.
  14. @AH64ID I have always respected your opinions here and that will not change. I have always run Dino oil and always will just me. But I have nothing against the synthetic and folks seem to get good results from both. Please dont stop putting info out here for us to judge by. After all this is why I run the filter I run. Thanks. Just dont tell me it is no good anymore. I am running about 10k on them with no UOA. Never done one. Going to have to replace the head gasket real soon and we will see what the top end looks like. 100% Dino with various filters over the past 450k. I do and always will value your opinion here just as several others I have come to know.
  15. The more I look at it the more previous owner hack I see. Dont know that but it dont look right.
  16. Yes it might. Where in the world was this connected?
  17. I have MOOG on mine and they are approaching 210k. bought them before FM bought them out. This is why I get a headache every time this discussion comes up.
  18. The sockets on my headlight switch were the same way. Gray plastic but brown around where the little bulbs fit in. Super Bright had replacement bulbs but thats when the switch started falling apart and I just bought a new switch. I will be interested in how it works out.
  19. I will have to do that and see what happens.
  20. Like my little gremlins that come and go. It cooled here late last week. Ran a couple days and no surging with the ac off. So I turned the ac on and i a matter of minute it starting surging. Turned the ac off and kept surging. Pulled into a store shut it down, came back out cranked it up no surging. About an hour later I turned the ac back on and in few minutes it started surging again. Would not stop until I shut the truck off and restarted. Has not surged since. Got the ac on now just waiting to see what happens.
  21. Thats better than anything I could come up with.
  22. My old AD pump just quit a few weeks back and after explaining the trouble shooting I had done they just asked me where to send the new pump. This sounds like someone just getting you off the phone. Pretty poor.
  23. Ditto on the above. I got away with the stock lines for about 230k. Lost my lift pump and Dodge blessed me with a $900 in tank pump. In about 20k more miles Imstarted having pressure issues with it and it made the VP act up. A band aid booster pump worked for a while and in the mean time I started learning about the fuel system, joined here and then found for $600 and my labor I could replaced the whole system. If you plan on keeping it, the aftermarket systems are worth the money.
  24. Are the washers the extra ones for where it bolts at the windshield? Looking at mine, they are hex head flange screws. As far as what I used on the back your guess is as good as mine.
