Possible Game Changer for lighting our trucks $211
Mike, no way I am saying you should take them out law or no law. I have faith that you are blinding oncoming traffic. Thats the part that pisses me off is the folks that only care about what they can see and all others be damned. Pretty darned selfish. What does one do when the person you have blinded slams into you?

Anti Gel
My AD 165 is mounted on the inside of the frame rails. But I believe I could turn bracket and mount outside. Did not seem to make sense mount it outside. And IIRC I had to lower the bracket a little to put the 4g pump head on. Other than that if fit just like the old one.

Bright lights in the cab is understandable;. I get caught doing that every once in a while. If they are dong there job they should get in the cab. Driver controlled on that one. I looked on the link for your head lights but did not see where they said they are street legal in the US. Am I just missing it? Be interested in hearing the outcome of this.

Back in the 70's part of the safety inspection was leveling the lights. They had attachments that went on the sealed beam lenses and they leveled them. Pretty simple back then with just a couple headlight choices. I dont mind any headlights as long as they are putting the light on the highway and not in my cab. I have seen that disclaimer on many of the sites offering aftermarket headlights. That is one of the reasons I went cheap. That an the fact I had no ideas how what I chose was going to work.

Map sensor options 40+ psi
i have never seen 40 psi to test that part but saw right at 215* or a bit more on mine right before the radiator blew many years back. A manual boost is about the easiest one to add..

You are right and these bulb manufacturers state that in their ads, NOT FOR HIGHWAY USE. I dont know how it is anywhere else but I dare say around here 30% or more of the headlights I see have the LED's in them. Law enforcement around here do not seem to care. Safety inspected mine last year with the LED's in and not word from the inspector. I have no problem with them if done right. But I dare say 50% or more dont care as long as they can see better.

You mean you did not encase them in concrete? What's happened to the UK? Brexit??

Garage tinkering today, might be interesting

Battery group size?
I have 2 walmart group 27 for 90 bucks each and they are holding up fine 3 years later. Cant say I dont like the Odyssey batts but much more pricey. The good thing is we all get to decide what our trucks get. Lots of options out there. You just have to keep up with the options.

I have not seen those. I am still the guy who believes He can get good headlights without spending 3 or 4 hundred dollars. I am at 150 bucks with pretty good lights. Now they dont light the road 500 feet ahead nor do they light the woods on either side so I can see deer hiding behind the trees but they are better that the stockers. I still think for 200 to 250 bucks ought to put a good set of headlights on a vehicle. While the LED's are not legal, if they start writing tickets for them LEO's will be busy with nothing but that for the next 5 years. The light is good but a lot of folks are ignorant to anything but how good they see and everyone else be damned.

I wish I could pass a judgement on them either way but cant. I think I got with the combo I bought. I have to agree on the bulbs maybe not fitting. Something wrong with that.

Well sum beach!!!! There she is. I personally never looked for one. I did not know anything about the need for such a thing back in 01. Looks like you have never used it.

Drawstraw Users - How low can you go?
I put 50's in mine a while back with the comp. Running about 30 psi of boost and it smoked pretty heavy down low until the turbo caught up with the fuel. Thats where you will see most of your smoke, in the lower rpm's before the turbo spools. Took mine out and went back to RV275's. Less smoke and but all in the lower rpm's.

This is mine with the clear lenses. This is the low beam before I aimed better. I had to aim them pretty far left to center the beams. Cheap bulbs or housings, dont know for sure. I did read in the Morimoto description a reference to the distance of the chip from the base. and clocking them to 3 and 9.

ECM # 4
Just bare in mind that some lifetime warranties are good for the product and not something else that may have fried it. So if your truck is producing high AC voltage and it fries the ECM they have an out on the warrantee; As a comparison, contaminated fuel will void a VP44 warranty. And for the most part the manufacturer is in charge of saying what caused the failure.

Mopar Winter front
I have seen several fabric ones on ebay, amazon and such. They attach to the grill and you can open them in increments or close them all the way. Not sure I have ever seen one from Mopar but never looked. I have some some similar to @Mopar1973Man but made of lexan I think. They install the same way.
