  1. I am voting tires since yours are miss matched and maybe old? I dont know for sure. If you google this and check out the forums, X amount of people have all found the cure all for DW, You have done 80% of them. The only thing you changed was the caster, that you can reverse that and see what happens. That would be cheaper than the tires. I am at a loss as to what you should do, Myself, I am going to see what my new tires do when they start wearing thin. If they do it again i will rethink my purchase and decide from there.
  2. I thought the Fass 150 came with filters. I so you do not need the factory filter. You can use the oe filter if you want by just plumbing it straight from the pump to the canister. Then get a big line kit from Vulcan Performance to plumb from the oe canister to the VP. I use my oe canister with my AD and the big line kit. I use it for the water separation and the fuel heater.
  3. This is like shopping for ball joints. Nothing but a headache.
  4. Hope it was quick. Must have been if you did not hear the squeak!!!
  5. Maybe that is why the only time I have seen it was when my tires were on there last leg. Both sets were the Cooper ATP's. On my third set now. I have never felt anything weird in the steering wheel when it has happened.
  6. Are you saying excessive positive or negative camber, or either? Back when my oe front end parts were shot I never had any DW. that was with 240 or 50k on them. Replaced everything then and still no DW until about 325k on an old set of tires. Put new ones on and it did not happen again until 380k when that last set of tires were gone. New set now and it has not happened yet. As far as caster, the adjustment bolts on mine have never been touched since new.
  7. @Mopar1973ManI agree with what you are saying. I never had the problem until after 300k. Still running the oe style front end. All replaced with moog about 4 years ago. The only time mines does it is on old tires. Down to the wear bars old. It happened to me a couple times on the last set up here in VA. Just put a new set on about a month ago and no issues as of yet. It still surprises me the bumps it would hit that would trigger it. Very insignificant bumps.
  8. Speaking as one who lost an ECM at 217k, going the rebuild route of the internet was a royal PITA. The unit in your picture looks to be professionally done. Mine looked like someone took a hammer and case to it. First one did not work and the second only lasted a year. I am surprised at the Cummins logo on it. Is Cummins giving them their blessing? $800 buck is very reasonable for a quality ECM. The rebuilt I received was anything but quality.
  9. What did you do for a new ECM?
  10. Throw you some 265's back on there and it will help.
  11. seems to be a lot of double post going around these days. You sure that new skin does not have the hiccups?!!!
  12. I can understand a worn out track bar being a problem. When mine first occurred the track bar was still in good shape. I did have to replace it about 20k to 25k later and believe the wobble contributed to its demise. That shaking has got to be hard on everything. My last occurrence happened on a new one, less than 10k and old tires. There is no movement in my current track bar.
  13. Looks good my man. The chrome goes with the black well.
  14. Maybe I should add the bump on the bridge that first made mine do it was the expansion joint in the bridge running on an angle and not square to the road. If not for the shaking I probably would have never paid it any attention.
  15. Mine will come down to 275* but I have never shot for that. I shoot for 350 sometimes 375 and shut it down. If I am towing it takes a little while. But when I am stopping for fuel or any other reason I just slow it down and take it easy down the ramp or into the rv park or just let it idle when I park and check in. I dont seem to have to wait long to get the temp down. When I bought the truck one of the service techs took a little time with me to explain turbo cool down and a few other things with me since it was my first diesel. It was appreciated. One thing I wish I would have known a long time ago is about play in the turbo. I never checked mine till after joining here with over 225k on the truck. I checked it then and had no play, axial or in and out. I still have no play to this day. I can flick the wheel with my finger and it spins several revs but dont know how many it should spin. I guess I am still some what ignorant about these things. Not really sure how much that has to do with anything just thought I would put it out there.
  16. Speaking for me mine have about 12k on them and they are cheap monroes, but they are still keeping the tires on ground like they should. For how long I dont know. The first 2 or 3 times it happened to me it felt more like the left front was bouncing up and down more than both front wheels going back and forth. The 4th or so time it definitely felt like they were going back and forth. Like @leathermaneod it was brutish. Emptied both door pockets. Found things I thought lost in the floor. How about the front springs? Could they be somewhat responsible? New tires seems to stop mine from the issue. Leather, not trying to hijack you here just adding what has happened to me. My front end is pretty tight but I have not done near what you have. Got to be something going on here.
  17. This is how you tell how old you are.
  18. I am not sure what else you could replace. I have had it happen a few times. When I was in Mobile AL there was one spot coming over a bridge that would make it happen. A very insignificant bump. Then I could run thru a pot hole with very significant bump and she went right on thru. This happened 4 or r times. Then I bought new tires and it stopped. Never did it again until they were about worn out and sure enough it happened a couple of times. I now have new tires again and it has not happened again. It is a big mystery to me after reading what many others have said what fixes the problem. You seem to have done everything I have read about. Drove my truck for aver 300k with out it ever happening.
  19. If I aint mistaken George Jetson just got robbed by his wife, whose name alludes me at the moment.
  20. Welcome back Rancheramn. It seems my traitors are getting grayer and the deserters are still deserting. Cant win like this.
  21. I have thought about using the Optilube in the past but it just seems easier to get the 2 stroke. With all the bio diesel I am seeing these days it might become a moot point any way. I have B 15 in the tank right now. Mixed with what I think is straight #2 but you cant be sure since 5% or below does not have to be labeled.
  22. My wife all the time too and it seems when we discuss dinner it is where she is going to stop and get it on the home. Holidys and guests, it is about the same around my house.
  23. I has been around as long as I have been here.
  24. google the brand and model # then search for the glass. I have found a good many appliance parts that way. I would agree it has to be some sort of heat resistant glass.
  25. That is definitely a big improvement and nicely done. I still enjoy seeing mine.
