I be surprised if it did not already have the additive in it. Only saying that since it says Limited Slip on the bottle. Could be wrong.

Moog steering parts
Aren't the ball joints on a 99 in the knuckle. If so you could take them off and have someone press out the old in with the new ones. I know the 02 is in the axle. I used a press on the uppers but had to beat the lowers. My press kit did not have a receiver cup to use on the lowers. The track bar is easy. I have heard a lot a bad things about Moog lately. I used all Moog about 100k ago on mine and they are still holding up but getting a little play in the right front ball joint. Tie rods ends are good. The track bar only lasted about 80 and was shot. Federal Mogul must of cheapened them up. Sad to hear. @Mopar1973Man be careful with that torch. Remember what happened last time.

Stolen 1995 Truck
With what these older trucks are bringing these days, especially clean low mileage ones, it is not surprising. I do hope you get it back and the dirty SOB's that took it get theirs. Drove NC to MO yesterday and did not see it on the interstate any where. Headed back later today and will keep an eye out.

Oil Filter
I does look interesting but for that kind of money I can buy 7 to 8 years of filters and thats if I keep packing on 25k a year even after I retire. I already have 2 years worth of filters on the shelf at home. But I do believe this filter is only as good as the person who has it on their truck. It does appear to be hard to damage but some clown is going to attack it with a power tool and f it up then blame the filter. All this from a guy that ran a K&N for 8 years in his truck.

Unidentified noise
When you get it aligned look at the machine. As best as I remember the front tires sit on rotating pivots that allow the tires to turn independently from each other. No 2 big guys or a pipe wrench is needed. i just replaced mine on the 02 and it was not as bad as I thought it would be. Did the passenger side by myself and it was a bit of a pain since I only have a small bench vise. My grandson helped me with the driver side and it went much easier. Doing it now for you would suck if you just had it all apart for the ball joints. I also am not sure of the differences between your and mine, 02 vs 99.

concensus of running EGT's
Back in 73 or 74 I worked for a fire sprinkler company. I mainly fabricated the pipe systems. The guy making all of the deliveries was taking over all the welding and I stepped in to take over the driving duty. At the time all I needed was a chauffeur's license. It cost twice as much as a regular operators license and only lasted 2 years instead of 4. All I had to do was pass the written test and score 100% on the eye/sign test and if I am not mistaken I was legal to drive anything. Weight wise for sure and I think that was all that mattered then. Hazardous materials like fuel and such I dont remember. I do remember the first thing I learned was how to bypass the weigh station. My road tractor was a late 60's model Ford with a 400+ CI gas burner and pulled a 1957 Great Dane trailer that had more iron in it that it could haul. We had a new GMC flat bed that was a good truck and a gas burner also. Both had either a 5 or 6 speed tranny with a split axle. I got real good at driving them but the first month or so on those split axles was pretty entertaining. Even thought they were not diesels I enjoyed my time with them. Thanks for the memory bump. So to paraphrase, in 1974 maybe I could have worked for Swift. See them on the road all the time.

Oil Filter
So I take it this could be used pre oe oil filter to see what kind of crap it is catching and to keep the bigger crud out of the filter for possible extended filter life. Can it handle all the oil the Cummins will put thru it versus a bike or an atv. I cant help but think if NASCAR uses this they are a little bigger. Cost??? It does look interesting but more info for our use would be nice. I guess you can tell the new worked.

HELP!!!! 2000 Dodge SC/LB No Start, No Prime, New Lift Pump

HELP!!!! 2000 Dodge SC/LB No Start, No Prime, New Lift Pump
How are you checking for trouble codes? I would almost bet there is more in there. You could hot wire the new lift pump to see if it works or as mentioned above see if you have voltage going to it from the ECM.

Hard brake line behind fuel tank
I did find this on Amazonhttps://www.amazon.com/dp/B01801G45A/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_dp_ss_2?pf_rd_p=1944687722&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B00651OAVS&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=3ES09YQK9V5P8149FASW. 25' with an assortment of fittings for less than $40 free shipping.. I dont know if they are what is needed since I have not researched what is needed fitting wise. I still cant seem to find a prebent kit. Even the link Mike posted did not show a kit for my ext cab long bed. Even then it kept showing me SS braided line and not hard line. Unless i am not looking it up right. What hard lines I found in the past were in the hundreds of dollars.

Hard brake line behind fuel tank
I have not looked at the copper nickle in a while but when I was looking it looked like most economical way to go compared to the preformed hardlines and appeared to be pretty good product. Are the double flares difficult to do?

Hard brake line behind fuel tank
What did you use for your hard lines?

On to the next problem, a leaking head gasket.
- Yep it was time to replace the ujoint
Unless you are a front wheel bearing. Then a 5# hammer is legal.- Yep it was time to replace the ujoint
That puts my one bad front one to shame. One cup was dry and empty and another dry with bearing crumbs. @Me78569 Funny you should mention the hammer, cause I thought thats how you showed love to the truck.- VP44 dead with 80 k miles?
It is a great skin moisturizer also.- Manual Trans Conversion - Seeking Advice/Tips/Issues/etc
I was very lucky with my first trans removal. Only had a floor jack and it went on first try. My wife persuaded it on the last 1.5" with her freaking #4 tennis shoe. A lucky day. The second time I had a HF tranny jack with the adjusters. It is rated at 600# IIRC. The way it sat on the jack I could only use one of the adjusters with out the help of some large pliers. It did not turn out any easier but it was much more stable than the floor jack.- VP44 dead with 80 k miles?
In your original post you mentioned a FASS system and here a AD. Which do you have on the truck now? The pressure can be raised on both style pumps if needed. As JAG said the VP loves good fuel pressure and some extra lube.- Front axle seal leak
Pretty country up that way. Drove thru there a lot when I was working in north Alabama last year. Took a few vacations up in the area also.- Front axle seal leak
What part of NC are you settling into?- tritium!!!!
It is also used in the manufacture of nuclear weapons. Could not figure where this thread was going with that title.- Redhead or Bluetop?
Used to have a S-10 pickup with worn out steering. Tightened it up until it would not return and it was definitely a bad feeling trying to steer. It's a bad feeling driving anywhere with steering that stiff. - Yep it was time to replace the ujoint
