Dirty battery cable...Trans shift weird.
I soldered my ends on. At least the ones that went bad. Just kind of doing them as they wear. Harbor Freight has the shrink wrap with the adhesive.

Well DW dont be a stranger at all. Always enjoyed your input and humor. I hope someone enjoys Mighty Whitey as much as you did. And by the way how much 2 stroke do you run in Chevy?

VP44 dead with 80 k miles?
Filters clean? air and fuel. Low fuel pressure does not help either. What fass system do you have? Hate to condemn a VP just on those codes.

TIRES
I went out and checked my OE's and they are 16 X 8. I have 3 on bare and on the ground. Wider wheel with the 265 option vs the 245's? That is interesting to know.

TIRES
The Dyna pro's look very comparable to the ATP's I have been running. I will give them a serious look as I am not to far away from a set of tires myself. It is always nice to have something else that is not an unknown to bargain with.

Unidentified noise
Check for rubbing you might not see if the suspension is not compressed. Braking and turning will compress it. Wheel bearing are easy check like Mike and CSM mention. My right front u joint was gone when I did my brake job and I never heard one squeak from it. Of course my hearing sucks.

47re randoms ?'s
Never had any trouble out of mine other than a leaky seal. I never intentionally overfilled mine but did fill till it ran out the filler hole. I did once have the front diff puke oil out the vent tube on the fender and ruin my air filter.

Hard brake line behind fuel tank
While dropping the tank might be distasteful the install will be better. Maybe there is enough slack in everything you can just drop and slide it to the side a little to access the area. Cant remember how much slack mine had.

What width rims are you running those on?

Hard brake line behind fuel tank
I read about the stuff 3 or 4 years ago, if this is the lines you dont need a bender for. If that is the case it seemed to be a pretty good product. You do need a special flaring tool and the name of it alludes me at the moment. It did seem like a good product to me at the time.

Morning Pic For Today...........Post A Pic around your place.....
Interesting history on that bridge. I have to assume the county backed down and is going to take ownership since it appears the construction is under way?

Morning Pic For Today...........Post A Pic around your place.....
Is that a wooden suspension bridge in the last photo? I remember when I was a kid there were alot of wooden bridges all around on the back roads. We used to go down to Social Circle GA to see my Aunt and Uncle and all the bridges around there were wooden. I remember hearing the boards slap together when riding over them.

Torque Converter Lock / Unlock Issues
Thanks clearing that one up Mike. Always wondered about that wire. I do see the circuit grounds you are speaking of.

I might have to stay sober just to meet you. We can discuss air pressure in our shoes. key word there is MIGHT. It is good to see you back around here.

Torque Converter Lock / Unlock Issues
My PCM has a flat insulated wire that goes from one of the mounting bolts to the firewall just above the turbo. I always considered that a ground and I did not add it. ???

Ball joints
What size did you go with, 235 85's again? Cost??

Redhead or Bluetop?
I turned mine somewhere near 1/8 to 1/4 turn several years back and it is still almost play free. If you turn it to far it will get so tight you have to turn the wheel both ways, in other words it will not return on its own.

Lift Pump Delay
i dont know of any new ones being available any more. Even the one that I got near 5 years ago was a reman from Cummins. It cost me $1400 with programing and install. At the dealer then they were well over $2000.

This just keeps getting better every post. If I fly in that means I will be unarmed.

Lift Pump Delay
Sounds like a plan. If you plan on keeping the truck an ECM from Cummins or even the dealer is another, yet much pricier way to go. The used ones are getting older every day and the internet rebuilders scare me. Went that route once, very bad experience for me. But I would want to check things out first as you state above before dropping that kind of coin.
