  1. Thats definately the resistor. Fairly easy to change too.
  2. Welcome to the family.
  3. I dont believe you have to have a CDL if you are under 26k or hauling hazardous materials, even commercially.
  4. I did not dwell on this case but what I did see of it there was not enough evidence to convict GZ of anything. Even some of the prosecution's witnesses corroborated GZ's story. I think both parties were guilty of bad judgement, and unfortunately one lost his life. But the system did work as it should. However Eric Holder is going to find a way to stick to GZ. Now thats the system working at the whim of a few people and will be a great injustice if they follow thru.
  5. Did your new sensor not come with any instructions? Do you know who it is made by?
  6. Mine has been doing it for a long time. I figure a loose connection and have just learned to ignore it.
  7. As said a slipping TC is much like a slipping clutch. RPM increase with no speed increase,
  8. What route did you take for ECM replacement? Dealer or rebuild.
  9. Leave it on and wire your right foot to a stun gun and set it to nail you when you get to crazy.:lmao2:That is one thing that drew me to the banks, it was full power all the time, just use your foot for control. But for what it is worth my banks has died and now I need something more. So I am .......
  10. Same here. Thanks and be safe.
  11. What kind of fuel pressure are you seeing? Idle and wot. I went thru the same thing and fixing my lift pump situation cleared it up. When it happened to mine i would have to restart the engine and it would work like normal until it happened again. Get the codes read and it will help a lot.
  12. Mine does go to the overloads with the 5th wheel. Just settles right on them. I only move my 5th maybe 3 times a year. I am sure thats why mine still work good.
  13. They will wear out. When you do the rear brakes you can pull the rotor and have a look at them. I just replaced mine but had a leaky seal and the one side was trash. IIRC they dont have alot of pad on them when new.
  14. Some lateral movement is ok. There is a write up on the turbo in the articles section.http://articles.mopar1973man.com/2nd-generation-24v-dodge-cummins/24-air-system/122-turbo-inspection I have never rebuilt one but it does not look difficult to me. - - - Updated - - - I would however leave any advise on a rebuild to those more knowledgeable than I.
  15. My overloads still work fine. If i did not have any I would have added air bags. My old trailer weighed right at 12k and I pulled it with my 96 with no overloads and it could be a little squirrely at times. The one I have now at 15k would probably have been to much for it.
  16. The holes came from the factory. Still have my oe holes included. It is supposed to be emptied every oil change. Try getting an oil change place to do that.
  17. Ill be watching this one since my dash gauge has bee reading low for a long time. Hope the tstat fixes yours. the mechanical gauge I installed completely disagrees with the dash gauge in mine.
  18. I could not enlarge the spec page, but from what I could see, an empty weight of near 9k#, and a hitch weight of 1k#. None of that would be more than your truck could handle. Bare in mind that loaded the weights will go up. I am hauling a 5'r that weighs about 15k with a pin weight of about 3k# and she handles it well. I am about 3k#over weight how ever. The trailer you have chosen is well within the factory ratings for your truck and should be ok. That is as long is I am reading the spec sheet properly.
  19. Sounds like you had a lot of fun and the Jeep is working good. Next time you go that high, try it in plane and go skydiving.
  20. I have made all my donations but one with pay pal since i have been here. There is alot more to be gleaned from here than just an FSM. You can download it for free at PDFtown.com. Hang around and you can get alot more to go with that FSM.
  21. did you finally post enough to get what you wanted?
  22. Thats the only big truck trannys I ever drove. Other than the first couple months learning them, they wer pretty easy for me. I do remember having to pull over and stop so I could start over quite a few times in that first couple months. it was to say the least . We had a nice GMC straight flatbed and an old raggedy assed Ford gas burner pulling a 1957 Great Dane trailer that had more irom in the frame than you could put on the trailer. Did not have much trouble with the tranny, stopping was the real adventure.
  23. Mine acted the same when my return line tee and bajo on the head were leaking. Still does it every now and again when the fuel tank is real low. I bump the starter and let the lift pump cycle once and it starts right up. sounds like you got a little air coming in somewhere.
  24. Many years ago I thought ethanol form corn was a good idea. I have long since changed my mind when i saw how it was affecting our food supply. It floors me that more people cant see whats happening and I am just speaking of prices at the counter not effects from farming additional land. I have to agree with the use of non food agricultural products for fuel for the car and leave the food for the life forms that need it.
