Have you cleared the codes since the cam sensor install to see what comes back? It does sound like the 5v circuit is corrupted. could be another bad sensor, wiring harness or the ECM doing it. We will need more help than my electrically challenged arse has. I had a similar experience back in 2010 when my ECM failed. Lots of codes on the sensor both high and low voltage with diagnostics telling me to replace then all. Mine had a mind of its own and was undriveable though.

Do you have any symptoms to go with the code? Does the truck run, tach functioning or such?

I am pretty sure thats what I used 3 years ago on mine. It still functions fine. I looked alot back then and from looking at their photos they mostly looked like the same compressor. They all had good and bad reviews and made in China. I got tired of trying to find the best, didn't seem to be one.

That is correct on the relay. The oe pump power came thru the ECM. The whole purpose of the relay harness is to get the load off of the ECM to run the lift pump. If relay #51 is not energizing the truck will definitely not run. The truck can run without power to the lift pump.

The relay in the PDC does not give the lift pump power, only the VP. Stock the power for the lift pump comes from the ECM. Most after market pumps that come with a wiring harness have a relay in them that the oe lift harness is used for a trigger and power is derived from the battery or another 12v source. After having my batteries disconnect for work I am doing, if I connect the passanger battery first it will power on the lift pump. Never have figured that out. Mine is an aftermarket with the relay added.

Yes. It is needed to power the PDC. My fuse is still there also.

Have you checked for trouble codes?

The return should go to the fuel tank and not the pump. Hopefully just a typo, not sure how you could do this.

The crappy part of that is we all could do it if we just would. But as long as our leaders are going to act that way so is the population. They all sit around and blame the other side because they know better how to do things than the other side. The one cop could have moved his knee to between his shoulder blades and accomplished the same thing just to see if it made a difference. Of course now I am trying to play Monday morning quarterback. I just think the situation could have been handled much better in that instance. But since I have never had to face the situations cops see every day I am at a loss as to what I might have done. I do respect the police and have received respect back from them for the most part. But some are jerks and high on the power they have. The change I am speaking of is not having a man kneel on my neck until I die while on the ground and in handcuffs.. It is not rampant but should not happen. I do not for one believe the police are bad people as a whole but as with any group there are bad apples. I am not saying there is systemic racisim. I do not envy their jobs for one minute and admire what they do for all of us. This country without a police force would be like what we have been seeing on the tv the past few nights on steroids.

I agree with both of the above. The folks that do care about the issues and want legimate change are getting over shadowed by the angry stinking camels. This kind of thing needs to stop. Peadful protest is the route. Even angry peaceful protest. But the destruction of public and private property with looting for persnal gain just takes the credibility from the protest. We have unfortunately seen this happen again and again with needed change paying the price. We need leaders who care about the country who are willing to make the hard decisions and the next election be damned.

Have you tried any of the diagnostics for the code or just replaced the sensor?

The raptor is better than any pump that will fit in the stock location. Stick with it.

@IBMobile is right on the pump. There are some aftermarket that do fit in the same location.
