  1. Nothing like an old building to test your patience. Or bad bad dirt on a site for that matter.
  2. You could pull the cluster and clean those contacts also. Not difficult to do.
  3. Good you got your money back. Maybe your compressor will be built on a Wednesday. And happy B'day to ya. I made 67 in March.
  4. Have you cleared the codes since the cam sensor install to see what comes back? It does sound like the 5v circuit is corrupted. could be another bad sensor, wiring harness or the ECM doing it. We will need more help than my electrically challenged arse has. I had a similar experience back in 2010 when my ECM failed. Lots of codes on the sensor both high and low voltage with diagnostics telling me to replace then all. Mine had a mind of its own and was undriveable though.
  5. Do you have any symptoms to go with the code? Does the truck run, tach functioning or such?
  6. https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/dodge,2002,ram+2500+pickup,5.9l+l6+diesel+turbocharged,1440064,heat+&+air+conditioning,a/c+compressor+&+component+kit,17507 I believe this is the one I bought. I spent about 250 buck on everything to do mine with. The wife's Saturn went the next and it was almost double what I spent on mine, That one thru RA also. A lot cheaper than buying thru them than anyone local. We are fairing well out here with the COVID, but it is out there. Have not missed one day work since construction was deemed necessary. I even have travel documents to prove that I am. One government and one company issued. Strange. Hope all is well out your way and you leaks are minimal.
  7. I am pretty sure thats what I used 3 years ago on mine. It still functions fine. I looked alot back then and from looking at their photos they mostly looked like the same compressor. They all had good and bad reviews and made in China. I got tired of trying to find the best, didn't seem to be one.
  8. That is correct on the relay. The oe pump power came thru the ECM. The whole purpose of the relay harness is to get the load off of the ECM to run the lift pump. If relay #51 is not energizing the truck will definitely not run. The truck can run without power to the lift pump.
  9. The relay in the PDC does not give the lift pump power, only the VP. Stock the power for the lift pump comes from the ECM. Most after market pumps that come with a wiring harness have a relay in them that the oe lift harness is used for a trigger and power is derived from the battery or another 12v source. After having my batteries disconnect for work I am doing, if I connect the passanger battery first it will power on the lift pump. Never have figured that out. Mine is an aftermarket with the relay added.
  10. Yes. It is needed to power the PDC. My fuse is still there also.
  11. Have you checked for trouble codes?
  12. No sweat, I make my fair share of them.
  13. The return should go to the fuel tank and not the pump. Hopefully just a typo, not sure how you could do this.
  14. The crappy part of that is we all could do it if we just would. But as long as our leaders are going to act that way so is the population. They all sit around and blame the other side because they know better how to do things than the other side. It galls me to see and hear politicians say how divisive DT is when they are doing their best to do the same thing. Vote for us and it will all be better. I am tired of being talked to like I have no brain. And the media piles it on with their opinionated views. I long for the days of Walter Cronkite. Back in the day it was a journalists job was to present news and mine to sort out what it meant. I dont need their help. As far as Mr. Floyd is concerned from seeing video clips. He was on the ground with one cop kneeling on his neck, another kneeling on the small of his back and another cop pinning his legs down. He was struggling some but had it been me and I could not breath, I would have been struggling also. The one cop could have moved his knee to between his shoulder blades and accomplished the same thing just to see if it made a difference. Of course now I am trying to play Monday morning quarterback. I just think the situation could have been handled much better in that instance. But since I have never had to face the situations cops see every day I am at a loss as to what I might have done. I do respect the police and have received respect back from them for the most part. But some are jerks and high on the power they have. It does seem to take a person color to be on the receiving end for this kind of mayhem to happen. I did a little research, little is the key word, and the cops kill more white people than others. Though the percentages are smaller based on population. The media just needs to STFU and present story with out their opinionated crap. And our leaders need to set some examples for folks to follow. Human kind has it within them to do what you say but they need encouragement. Wish it was that simple. We have and have a had a shortage of leaders for a while. The folks you mention are leaders of mayhem. They have proven themselves time and again.
  15. The change I am speaking of is not having a man kneel on my neck until I die while on the ground and in handcuffs.. It is not rampant but should not happen. I do not for one believe the police are bad people as a whole but as with any group there are bad apples. I am not saying there is systemic racisim. I do not envy their jobs for one minute and admire what they do for all of us. This country without a police force would be like what we have been seeing on the tv the past few nights on steroids.
  16. I agree with both of the above. The folks that do care about the issues and want legimate change are getting over shadowed by the angry stinking camels. This kind of thing needs to stop. Peadful protest is the route. Even angry peaceful protest. But the destruction of public and private property with looting for persnal gain just takes the credibility from the protest. We have unfortunately seen this happen again and again with needed change paying the price. We need leaders who care about the country who are willing to make the hard decisions and the next election be damned.
  17. This might be a job for @Me78569.
  18. The chicken in the pool appears to have held onto 1 or 6 more than he should have. Me thinks he's peeing the pool.
  19. There is some very good vp44 trouble shooting info on Blue Chip Diesel's web site. I am not very good on the electronic end of things.
  20. There is something disturbing and unnatural about this.
  21. Negative. Feathers repel the heat.
  22. Bet your molasses pours well though.
  23. Have you tried any of the diagnostics for the code or just replaced the sensor?
  24. The raptor is better than any pump that will fit in the stock location. Stick with it.
  25. @IBMobile is right on the pump. There are some aftermarket that do fit in the same location.
