  1. I just thought you were a gluten for punishment. Even with my long arms I hate #6.
  2. Most likely. Does not cost much to be one. Look in subscriptions and you can see what it takes to have the privilege to do it. I am not sure what it takes.
  3. We get those up on I 40 between NC and TN every couple years. But most of us dont have to cross the mountain to get what we need. Not sure about the folks living up that way though.
  4. The 98 Saturn might just fit in there with me and the wife in it. All kidding aside, the stores are near that close to me too. So I dont have to make a run to town to find what I need; Easy to make a couple trips diftoferent stores on different days.
  5. The wifes old car was a 98 Saturn. 6 " off the asphalt. Not bad getting in, just kinda fall in. But about an hour and a half is all I could take in it and the last 30 minutes sucked. Getting out was another matter. Put my legs out and they are under my chin. I get down a lot better than I get up these days. 6' 4" and about 215. The new to us Equinox is a lot better. Still not a big car but I sit much higher. In and out is much better. Still a 4 banger but with a 6 speed tranny and the combination is better than the small 1.8 liter on a 4 speed. Better all round car but still a bit small. But the lady driving it is 4' 9.5" on a good day.
  6. I always do 1, 3, and 4 cause they are easy to reach. I dont have a wrench that will get to 2 without removing the intake horn.
  7. When you have it jacked up grab the the tire at 3 and 9 and try to shake back and forth. If the bearing is bad you should have some movement. Now if your tie rod ends are loose you could still feel some movement but this is why you need check everything on the front end. All the components work together. I dont think there is any need to get all the way to the bearing to determine whether it is bad or not.
  8. Happy fourth to all of you and the country. Whilst I did drive thru 2 states that sell fireworks, I passed on the urge to stop. Before I left on my 2 week road trip I lost my check book with $600 in it. Figured I should save the money. Cut the grass about 2 hours ago and there was the check book sitting in the seat. Fell out of my pocket when I mowed before I left. SHAZAM!!! No mortars aimed at the left coast tonight. I love fireworks as much as man but sure do make a mess. Someone up the road just set off a large brick of fire crackers. Bet he has a giant pile of paper mulch in the yard now.
  9. Welcome to you also. I second what @JAG1 one says. It is cheap for what you get. Start you a thread over in the 2nd gen section and ask your questions.
  10. By rails do you mean the fuel lines and are you seeing the the foamy fule at the cylinder head? Almost sounds like all the air has not purged from the fuel system yet. Are cranking with any injector lines? I also would go over everything fuel related you messed with on the head install and be sure all us tight. And welcome by the way.
  11. Same here. It sucks when things aint right.
  12. It went up to $13,75 a while back. Then back $12.50 recently. I would suspect crude prices also but does not affect oil like it does fuel.
  13. Super Tech is $12.50 a gallon down my way.
  14. I would except at the moment I already have the the front signals and back up lights. I am interested in doing the interior next including my Isspro gauges. So exterior maybe not but spares are good to have. Interior defintely. Competative pricing would have to be there. Pricing is a little wild out there and I dont know much about the differences between most of them are.
  15. Maybe so for the readingly challenged as I appear to be.
  16. Good read. My EB quit working a while back or I would using the cheaper pads. They worked great with the e brake. Very little dust also.
  17. We are on subscription bassis. $20 to $45 a year depending on what you want. There is also some montly plans. Just go to subscriptions at the top of the page or click the 3 horizontal bars and it will pop up. Then pick your poison. I should add that I put ceramic on mine and they the are working well with no dust but most lkely will have change my rotors when it is time for a brake job. They are harsh on the rotor. I got these off of rock auto for less than 100 bucks.
  18. I always do mine with the engine running just so the wheel will turn.
  19. The only one l removed was the line that provides the vacuum from the pump to the selector. I would have to assume the all will slip off with some encouragement.
  20. When the vacuum supply to the selector broke on mine I just pulled it off and pushed on a new vacuum line on, pretty simple. I have another one with the heated mirror switch on it that I need to install. I don't expect any problem with the swap. But they have been together for 18.5 years so who knows.
  21. I think ya'll are. Just saying it 2 different ways. Seems that way to me anyway.
  22. No need to disassemble it just swap the whole unit. You could just run a line outside the dash between the 2 just see if it ls the line. If it is the line l'll bet you could re route a line between the 2 without removing the dash providing i could see point A and B.
  23. Dont read much ito the oil pressure gauge on an 02. Unless you have an odd ball 02 the pressure sensor on it is nothing but a switch. When you start the engine and reach about 6 psi it closes and the ECM takes over based on coolant temp and rpm and sets the pressure gauge reading, not actual oil pressure. The way to be totally sure is to check your sensor, if one wire runs to it is as described above. If it has 3 wires to the sensor then it is an actual pressure sensor and that would be odd.
  24. Pretty sure the only way get it is the assembly. The junkyards ought to have plenty of them. There is parts guy down my way that had a basket fuul of them. He deals mostly in 2nd gen stuff. I would be wiiling to bet that your vacuum line either near firewall or behind where it goes thru at the ac lines is broken, if it will work connected to another source. Mine did the same thing a while back. I ran a new vacuum line from manifold on the firewall, drivers side, thru the firewall straight to the actuator and it works fine. Never understood why Dodge ran that line from one side of the truck back to the other side.
