  1. Glad I dont have that problem in all the in the states l drive thru. Been using a wells fargo and amex card for the past 20 years. If I had to fill out something everytime l went to a different state, l would find another card.
  2. Sounds like the strater might be failing. If the clicking is coming from the starter the contacts are most likely worn out.
  3. Seems to be the good one to go with these days. And reasonable too.
  4. I appreciate the offer very much. I replaced it when I went for timing case reseal. It did make the job easier with all of that out of the way. Surprisingly removing it all is not to difficult.
  5. Both times I have had a map sensor failure it was easily visible on scan gaugeII. Zero movement of data being transfered even though I could make 2 or 3 pounds on the mechanical gauge. Easy to see with live data.
  6. I have run nothing but dino oil in mine. Not knocking the Purple just to pricey for me. While I do tow heavy I do not tow alot maybe 4k to 5k miles a year. $18 a quart woud explain the cost. I think the dino is about $18 gallon.
  7. My 02 has a tag in the glove box the identifies mine as such. You can also jack the rear off the ground and spin one wheel. if the other turns the opposite direction it is an open diff, if it spins the same direction, limited slip. What kind of oil are putting in them. I spent no where hear that much for both.
  8. Sounds like you have a limited slip rear end. Be sure and add the additional lubricant when changing. That is likely to be source of the "popping " you are hearing. Wish I could with the trans but thats above my pay grade.
  9. He got the key and does not need to go in there now. A hardy to that one.
  10. You cant ask for a better result than that.
  11. I had a small vibration at idle and it stopped it. I was also in the front motoer to reseal the gear case cover and replacing a damaged bumper, Figured I would replace it while I was in there. It did have 400k on it. The tick marks are on the inner and outer steel and should line up with each other. They are small and very difficult to see in the engine bay. If you look at the new on the left you see them on the left side at the 9 o'clock position. That is the back side
  12. Have you checked for trouble codes?
  13. It was good talking to the 3 of you. Hope all the repairs went well.
  14. .. Been wanting to get wifes Equinox out and see how it does on the highway. Shes been getting right at 20 mpg around town.
  15. The void sticker is factory. Might be the factory pump.
  16. Bore scope maybe? I did do mine a while back also. This made it easy. Might not go that far again but had to deal with this.
  17. I replaced mine a while back with a stock one. Bolted it on and drovd off with it. No balancing needed.
  18. we do have a list of DTC's here in the articles section, under 2nd gen 24 valve. That where I looked them up.
  19. If the valve guides or seals are that bad you should see blue smoke. If the turbo seal is bad you should see oil out the tail pipe or blue smoke. I drop about a quart every 800+ miles due to a bad rear main seal. I you are not seeing blue smoke or a puddle of oil, I dont know what to tell you.
  20. belive you are looking at a 3rd gen or newer code maybe. the 460 is a fuel level sensor code and the 236 is a MAP sensor code.
  21. I dont see a 260 code on the list here.
  22. Me, I don't worry about it. It only happens to me very seldom. Most likely it is just a quirk and nothing failing. If it quit all together that might be a problem. But if every thing else was working right I would keep driving it that way. This is the first stick I ever had that did this.
  23. Did you check it for codes before you bought it?
