  1. Well those are VP codes that I am not familiar with. Did you use a scanner or the key trick? Maybe a short in the wiring? I think any info I could give is just speculation.
  2. I read it but did not pick up on it being a raptor. Plus they sell a 100 and a 150 that come with the filters and all. I looked up a set of instructions for the 100/150 4g raptor and it does not look the same as yours. Of course it does not have anything in them about the draw straw you installed so I might be looking at some thing different. The instructions you picture and the one I am seeing both are titled the same at the top of page but the one I am seeing says nothing about a return line from the pump. Something is weird.
  3. I see, you have a raptor pump. Mine is an AD 165 that come with filters and does have a return off the pump. Not sure why they are telling to hook up the second return line if the pump does not have one. That is a bit f'd up. @JAG1 did either one of your raptors have a return line? Looking on their site the sell the pumps for an in tank conversion or factory like you have. Anyone there ask you what you had?
  4. That is correct. they both turn into return and the suction you appear to have installed. That is how mine is connected. I do think pretty crappy they dont let you know about the different baskets. When I bought mine it came with a kit to modify the basket and get rid of the in tank pump. So mine matched what I had. After re reading you post it would appear the pump you have has no return line? Which pump is it?
  5. Messing with the tank is just to get all the fuel lines connected and abandon all the stock fuel lines for new 1/2" supply lines. Location of the pump does not matter. Though as close to the tank as you can is best. There is also a return for the pump that can go to the basket or some come with fitting to return into the filler neck. When I did mine I ended up with 2 returns to the basket and one supply leaving. The second return was from the pump, both to the factory connections. The pump to the old factory supply
  6. Looking around under the hood of the 2016 Equinox we just bought for the wife. I am finding most everything except the trans dip stick. Just not there. So I go to the owners manual and all it says is the fluid change procedure is complicated and you need to take you vehicle to the dealer for a fluid change. Aint that just lovely. So I looked around on the interweb figuring there is no way it can be that difficult. Well sure enough I find a you tube video and a guy telling it is not that difficult and he is going to show how easy. Go to the next scene and there he is standing under the car that is on a lift. Guess he figured we all have a lift, not sure what he is thinking. But sure enough he removes the front and a mounting bracket for something. Behind that sure enough is a dip stick for the tranny. After getting a big laugh out of the easy way to do this I go back to the car. Best I can tell it is below the battery box which is buried under one of the computers. The battery even has remote studs for jumping it off. On top that I have access to the fill hole and a drain hole, both from the top of the engine. What were they thinking.
  7. You might try checking for codes and see if maybe the sensor is bad. Do you have the 3 wire sensor or the one wire switch?
  8. Does the basket in the instructions look like this? Yours looks like the oe and mine is the after market in tank basket that Dodge blessed me with. IIRC the return on mine just connected onto the old supply outlet. but that was a good while back.
  9. Do you have to power brake it to make it pop?
  10. Mine have been disconnected from the battery for 3 or 4 years now. It has not tripped a code yet. Pretty that works for all. If you disconnect the relays them I believe thats how the code gets set.
  11. Mine had a much smaller metel piece that fit in the groove to lock the nut in place. So I have agree with Mr Turley.
  12. Maybe @dieselautopower's rep thought you bought it from Blue Chip if you mentioned their name with the testing you did.
  13. adings before and after to see how this works out and report back when finished. mine went from a .035 to a .010 after the mod on 5 year old AZ alternator.
  14. Just swap them. The passanger is better in a way. It throws you more right than left.
  15. Spray adhesive will restick it, but if it is a bubble you will have to cut it open. It will not look like new but will keep it off your face. Have to do the rest of mine real soon.
  16. The first of your description sounds like suspension problem with the wheel turning. The second where you say it clunks swapping drive to reverse or the other way around sounds like a drive line issue, u joints. So I am not sure what your issue is. Could be both. Get some one to help you. Crank it up and get under the front end and have them turn the wheel back a forth and see if any thing is loose. The same for the drive line. Make sure it is someone you can trust not run over arse in the process.
  17. I drilled mine with the turbo off. Shoved a rag in the exhaust manifold, drilled the hole, then pulled the rag out. I did have the turbo off for another reason than just drilling the hole.
  18. I have lost 2 pumps. I believe they were 3g pumps. Both lssted about 4.5 years. Both replaced under warranty but was a headache. Hopefully the 4g lasts much longer. I am not knocking the mechanical pumps, just dont dont want to spend 6 or 7 hundred more to replace the whole system at this point.
  19. You need to scan it for trouble codes. That will help point us in some direction. The delayed WTS is an ECM issue. But thats another expensive part to just throw at it and hope it works.
  20. I have to use a whole bottle on mine when I take the wife on a trip in mine. One half the bottle in the cab and pour the other half down the vent. She aint much on cigarettes. I couldn't take a 450 mile drive in her Saturn. That is a one hour ride time car for me.
  21. I went without ac for about 3 years. Finally got tired of it and dove in into it a little at a time. Made some mistakes and lost freon but stayed with it until I figured it out. Got a good deal on a 2 stage vcuum pump from harbor freight and got it working. Still fought a small leak that turned out to be in the compressor. Then the clutch failed. So I put a whole new system on, all but the evaporator. Going into my 3rd season on the same charge. The system is not overly complicated but l went thru some trial and error. Electrical is another story but l am getting better with a long way to go. @IBMobile has some good articles here about the ac system. And on ruffling feathers, they seem to be fair game here. I am used to it.
  22. I never tackle a project like this if time is tight. Nothing worse than buttoning up the work at sun down Sunday just to jump in the truck and drive back to where ever I am working. @Alexio Auditore any new parts should come with the o rings. Any where that sells the ac parts will also sell the oringss. Rock Auto has them as I am sure many others do on the internet. Harbour freight has an assortment of green ones.
  23. If you are going in for the dash it would best to wait and do it all together. Putting the dash without the HVAC box in makes the dash install easier. It attatches to the back of the dash with quite a few screws. The ones on the drivers side it are tough to get. A skinny person makes a good helper for that even with the box out. IIRC l spent about 3 or 4 days doing mine. I did not get in hurry and took as many beer breaks as l wanted. It is not a bad job at all. Simpler than it looks
  24. It is working itself out pretty well I think. Get the wife and all will be well. I had thinking about scaling down on the 5th wheel. That 35 footer was just bigger than I needed. The truck pulled it just fine but I think would like 10k trailer versus the 15k it has. Een hauling. We shall see. It was just alot of crap happening all at once out of the blue. I was headed home for a little R and R and it turned into anything but that. I did make short work out of the out of the car. It took 5 weeks to buy the Saturn. Took 2 days to buy Chevy. The wife can be a bit picky. The worst is trying with the RV. Got to empty it. Before I could start I get call from the office and I am now sitting on a job in Asheville NC. The location is great but I took over a job from a super that was let go and now have 4 weeks of work to get done in 3 weeks. I hate jobs like this. A real pita. On a brighter note I did get reimbursed for the tree removal. Check is sitting at the house.
