2nd gear lockup mod for 47re transmissions
Not questioning your knowledge but I have had two stock trucks with lockup switches that will not lock in 2nd gear. Only after the vb has been modified. Not talking manual 2nd either. First was my 01 and then my 97.

I was busy af all weekend. Pulled the built trans from my 24v, removed the mpm input with the direct and forward clutches. Installed those on a standard billet input and into what was the 24v trans. I also installed brand spankin new Goerends 15ss triple disc and valve body. So the old 24v trans has a fancy Sonnax billet direct drum, mpm 2nd gear band, mpm billet output, tcs & sonnax billet little pieces, 3.8 lever and prolly a couple other things I am forgetting. A buddy and I spent most of yesterday finishing reassembly of the old 24v trans, removing the trans from the 12v and installing the new trans. But......it was so worth it. Trans is solid af. It has taken a year but we now have a built auto in the 12v. Injectors are next.

Loss of boost and power
You aren't going to do anything for the gauge bounce with the overflow valve. That is not what it is there for. Looks like the ball and spring in the fass is worn out.

47RE Torque Converter Lockup Adjustment
Throw voltmeter on the circuit and move the apps through its travel. Yes the apps is a 0-5v sensor. The tps wire to the pcm should respond in a similar fashion. I have stopped trying to figure out wtf Diamler designed on these trucks long ago. Just leads to massive headaches and excessive drinking.

Transmission codes
How are you pulling codes as a 47re does not have a shift solenoid.

checking for boost leak
Back the intake valves off.

I have an aftermarket sitting on the shelf waiting. I have a ton of stuff I've gathered up over the last year.

I will have a small secondary. Only reason I went with it.

Yes as it spools first. The primary is what cools everything off once it is up and moving.

47rh 1st gear lock up modification
It requires valve body modification, of which I am not sure of due to purchasing the valve body already built. I do not suggest attempting this with a stock converter or input shaft. That said contact Dusty Hawk at HTS transmission. He may give up the secret to what is needed.

Had to do that in my old square body @Royal Squire. Talk about torque steer lol. 15ss @notlimah

It already is. It would have damaged a bunch of stuff with the ujoint darn near apart and the drive shaft flapping around.

95 12 valve busted gear case
It would affect both as it introduces noise.

I do my math based on wot as it is typically a constant. Your numbers look ok for part throttle operation. I would tighten the gate to try and get the secondary pr to come up as it will help with response.

More are worn out than you think. They just are not paid attention to.

47RE wont shift at WOT
Just a bit. It should not take much.

47RE wont shift at WOT
65psi at what point..... And the tv lever is too tight. Why when you back off the throttle it will shift.

No reason to replace unless damaged. And THANK GOD you did not cut the couplers. The next time you would have went to take it apart and put it back together they would have been too short.

Converter and rotors showed up on Friday. I now have everything to do 3rd gen brakes on the rear axle. I did discover my front drive shaft is thrashed so I will need to do something about that.

I am excite. I ordered a Goerends triple on Wednesday and it will be here today. So I can FINALLY finish the transmission for this thing. No one should have to drive a stock 47re for a year. I will be pirating most of the transmission from the green truck. 3rd gen rotors are coming today as well. Just need the flex lines from Crown and I can finish the rear axle. Gonna be busy here in the coming weeks.

The fuel filter canister? No. It is in my scrap pile.

I am. The Baldwin filter I have is a separator, just no sensor hole. I THINK I ordered the last pieces I need for the rear axle swap. Stainless flex lines at all corners. I have my choice of 3 master cylinders to use but he 97 is setup for drum rear with a larger reservoir towards the back. The other two I have are just capacity differences. I do have the correct proportioning valve for the disc/disc setup.

(atmospheric pressure) + (overall boost) divided by (atmospheric pressure) = overall P/R (atmospheric pressure) + (primary boost) divided by (atmospheric pressure) = primary P/R (Overall P/R) divided by (Primary P/R) = Secondary P/R (Secondary P/R x (atmospheric pressure) minus (atmospheric pressure) = Secondary Boost 12+60/12=6 12+30/12=3.5 6/3.5=1.71428 1.71428*12-12=8.57136 These are Trevors numbers. Secondary pr is low. Be nicer to see it closer to 2.
