  1. @JAG1 my comments were in an attempt to clarify the fuel pump relay in the pdc that was referenced early on in the thread.
  2. Not sure what the ecm lead has to do with the fuel pump relay that is for the vp44.
  3. Do you have access to a bore scope? If it were me I would pull the injectors and scope the cylinders. As long as no rust.....fire it up. The injection pump is more likely to be rusted than the engine at this point.
  4. Is the rebuild a necessity or a want? A Cummins rebuild kit is 1k. Machine work would be 1-2k depending on what all is needed. That shop is off their rocker for a 12k stock rebuild.
  5. The 12v is stock lol. The 24v I get it but not the 12v.
  6. Legality of the sump is moot point with all the other crap I have on my personal truck. I doubt the 12v will ever get one just due to the fact it is of no benefit for the goals of the truck. The 24v on the other hand.....all the fuel flow I can get.
  7. Both of my trucks eat the cheap parts store ujoints. Sealed and grease-able.
  8. I have had a sump for over 3 years with zero leaks. There is absolutely nothing wrong with using a sump. Pick the right one however. I.e. single mounting bolt retention.
  9. They have a wider cone angle than stock. Why some complain about increased smoke with them.
  10. A true 90gph will support anything a vp truck will ever do. 165gph is a TON of fuel flow for no reason at all other than to simply say you have a 165gph system.
  11. There is no reason to need a 165gph lift pump on a near stock truck. The 95 will work just fine.
  12. I would suggest coming to terms with needing an ecm based on the 5v ref code. The lift pump running has be at odds but if the 5v ref is on the same bus bar in the ecm.....its done.
  13. Factory sized drilled and slotted rotors do nothing for these trucks. Ceramic pads just cut down on dust.
  14. Fuel pump relay is ONLY for the vp44 in these trucks. It looks like the ecm 5v ref is shorted based on the P1475.
  15. I would strongly consider a billet input as you plan on towing with a triple disc. Lock up strategy plays a large role.
  16. Eventually yes that will happen. Opening pressure was determined by Bosch for a reason. Will it happen to anyone in the life of the pump or the truck? Who knows.
  17. My rwal system (what yours is) does not work worth a hoot. I can lock them up at about any point I feel like. It just slides.
  18. I found a few pics of it. 94-97 abs module.
  19. Is there a part number or tag on it? Got it, Abs module. http://www.justparts.com/Auto_Parts/1996-TO-1997-DODGE-RAM-1500--2500--3500-ABS-Control-Module---MOPAR-P-N-56026812/25600266
  20. Where was it mounted? I need to pull the knee bolster off my 97 to hook up a new lockup switch. I can take a gander.
  21. Oh shoot. For some reason I was thinking 2wd. Well at any rate that thread is what you need! Iirc it has a bolt that holds the connectors together.
  22. I would pull the interior harness for the 94 and use parts of it for the Pilot then. Interior fuse panel, column, multi-function switch and head lamp switch. The only difference you may need is some of the early 94's had a thin adapter plate to bolt the transmission to the engine. Here is a link to a write up on cf. Give you an idea of what is needed in a 2nd gen. Not all of what is in here you will need to do being Tonys truck is 4wd. http://www.cumminsforum.com/forum/94-98-powertrain/1425954-so-you-think-you-wanna-g56-your-4wd-12v.html
  23. So a couple questions. Are you planning on using the electric wipers or adapting a set to the pilot? Power door locks or windows? For a manual transmission. G56. The gear split in the nv4500 is meh at best.
  24. Sorry but I had not been in your other thread. I'll take a gander to get a better idea of what you want to do. I believe it un-threads from the lever. As in-depth as service info gets; 4WD FLOOR SHIFT BOOT - AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION REMOVAL Pull edge of floor shift boot upward to expose fasteners 4WD Floor Shift Boot - Automatic Transmission Remove screws holding floor shift boot to floor. Remove gear shift knob. Separate gear shift boot from floor. Lift floor shift boot off shifter.
  25. Wipers have their own module. Says intermittent on them. Which is in a similar location as a ctm.
