  1. Trying to get a tape on a hx40 downpipe or turbo. Prooving hard to do. Smedding is not responding. I burned an inch on the id. Thinking this is the 4.4" outlet. I could have a 700 dollar paper weight . What trucks or turbos have the 4.4" outlet. I'd just have to get that downpipe or weld on adapter. I wont allow it to become a paper weight DAP https://puredieselpower.com/dodge-products/turbos-and-accessories/accessories-2/downpipes-and-clamps/page-4/?items_per_page=-1#/product/19366 I found this. I think this is a he351 flange. What turbo do I have. Not lock of paper work came from smedding but they did send a beer coozy and smedding stickers. I dont even know how to confirm that this turbo is a 62 65 14. What is short actuator. Do I want to stay away from that? It appears this turbo is everything that it's not supposed to be.
  2. What's the secret to get the stock shaft to survive with a tripple
  3. I meant 7-8 hp to 1 psi
  4. I think 55. Bolts are to small to go to 100 **** I think I'm wrong. Arp says 120 for they're flex plate bolts. So maybe 100 is right for stock bolts https://www.xtremediesel.com/arp-147-2901-flex-plate-bolt-kit
  5. So I think I'm just going to order this 2g to 3g pipe and hx40 downpipe and Clock the turbo accordingly oops I did not check outlet doing that now. Is this where the 4.4" measured ? https://cppdiesel.com/sd-3-00-2g-intercooler-pipe-sd-pipe-3g-single-cummins/
  6. 7-8 is probably more realistic
  7. Thanks DAP I'm at a bit if a loss right now on what to do. Thanks for confirming that the 62 65 14 should work well.
  8. I dont know what I'm sure about. I do like that 3rd gen gets rid of bottle kneck on charge side
  9. It's a 3rd gen turbo that got shipped to me. Should I make it work. Researching clocking the turbo 180deg I dunno I think just send this back. I waited a week already what's a couple more Lots of monkeying around to make the 3rd gen cold pipe work clocking and fabbing. Part if me think cool I get to weld the other part says send it back and get the one that bolts on.
  10. Sh!t Getting another shot. Should I stick to 62 65 14 or go 62 68 12?
  11. Is it a 3rd gen?
  12. X2 If it leaks go alittle tighter. If it wont stop leaking smack it with a hammer then snug it alittle more
  13. Is good enough ever really good enough. I've really been looking at parts to change the s300 turbo if I dont like the 14 exhaust
  14. I fabbed a transmission jack out of a floor jack worked awesome till it couldn't roll out from under truck and it wouldnt clear any where to roll out and cab of truck was touching shelves above . Drag tranny off jack and out from under truck. Fun. That was when it was a dually and I couldn't even walk around it in my chicken coup size shop Still better than gravel Cant wait to see how you like it. I'm really wanting his valve body.
  15. Future That hx35 sounds like fun Mike The temps you've posted seem inline with my hy35 I can imagine you have to pedal of grades. 60 60 12 Would make a good comparison to 62 65 14 I'm sure I'll emidatly love or hate it. Me. Yes I'm wondering if 62 68 12 the way to go. Lol your not helping. . Turbo may get here today guess I'll find out soon enough. Maybe my hy35 is tired enough I'm not seeing its potential and itl be a night day improvement going to sxe even with the 14exhaust houseing.. Hoping this turbo isnt all top end. Stop second guessing yourself Evan it's going to run well.
  16. Have about a year on napa ball joints. Driver side lower is getting loose. Not sure how many miles on them 30k maybe. They are warranted but not something I'm just gona whip in the shop and change. In a few minutes. Carli ball joints might be a better option but cost alot more though saving labor/time expense. I do all my wrenching and right now I cant afford to stop working and change ball joints. That means a machine or truck isnt worked or I'm falling behind on maintaining and repairs in other areas. My 7/8" heim track bar is holding up so far. When they do wear out its minutes to toss new joints in.
  17. I don't run the brights 99% of the time I think if others more than myself
  18. Ohhh damn. I was guessing lots more psi than that.
  19. Was that blow off valve? How much psi? 140
  20. Wonder if I should have gone 62 68 14. Been researching the race housing supposed to flow 25cfm more than standerd housing. But on the too where I'll likely never go and maybe spool slower The 12 exhaust housing is suposebly good for 50 to 100 injectors. 14 good for 100-150 It's hard to find actual sxe specs due to all diesel shops and vendors getting they're hands on them.
  21. My shitty lights 50dollar silva bulbs I need to raise them alittle Second pic is brights held on with lows. I've been burning the midnight between boise and mtn home lately
  22. This is through the ball joints Your rotating the axle forward. What you do on one arm also moves the other side. That's why I like to take one bolt all the way out then set my castor.
  23. I was gona say that auto sounds good
