Shes running and driving to good.
Been running here 2500 miles a month. Feeling like something's going to happen. Had something rattling and never found it then it stopped on own. I think the rear end. I allowed pinion nut to come loose it growled I thought transmission. Took it to my tranny builder I was going to yank it h ed insisted it wasn't a tranny noise. Do finally I found the pinion nut on the dana 80 was loos allowing the pinion gear to walk in and out of the ring gear eating itself. I'm going to run it till it goes then unfortunately caught up the money to buy a ring and pinion 3.55 gear set and rebuild it. In the mean time I'm driving the jetta around town. I work 40-120 miles from where I live. The jetta just isnt the work rig I need. Also been debating a newer truck. I keep thinking my 02 is getting tired. But maybe shel go another 4 years who knows. Here she is parked for the night. That's a friends 12 valve its next to. They used to be 1ton twins.

Lol. I have a hard time fixing something that ain't broke. If something is broke I can fix it if it's not broke it's a 50/50 chance that it becomes broke ounce I'm done fixing it. This time I just saved labor

Dog tracking
Ok Mike haha I'll try the string method. See what happens. My my truck is about 1.5" taller in the rear with the 2" leveling kit installed. Rides like a caddy with 2k centers behind the cab the goosekneck just barely makes it touch the overload. I put just enough weight on the truck but leave most of it on the trailer axles. The bumper pull does push the rear just under level. I'm actually with welder on board at about stock height. It sags front and rear about 1" I measured. Was surprised it put the front down the same as the rear.

1999 Cummins 3500 taking longer to start
Sometimes it wont start. Over the 15 years of owning my 02 longer start times have always been battery, starter or battery cable issues. Never had pump issues the only time it would not start it was one dead battery or start contacts. The only other times were in cold temps fighting battery cable issues. Ohhh injection pump ounce caused no start.
-
in-tank lift pump
Why the hell at -15 air temp would it matter where the fuel lines are running. You have no heat source till trucks running. Leaving it running all night? Sometimes you guys crack me the **** up

weird braking/steering issue

What ever trailer is handy
Our other trailer. We run this trail at its rated capacity 25k. It's not able to withstand daily use at this capacity. Ive rebuild all suspensions spring hangers and the tongue. The backhoe beat through them. Its on the cheaper end but I do not believe the ones costing more are any better . They do have gussets tongues, pj's are nicer better welds alittle more pride goes into them. But you get to the working end at the axles and they're all the same cookie cutter mounts. Most people wont run a trailer like this at capacity very much. My thoughts for the morning.
