  1. 1/16 toe in would be good. That's close enough to zero toe in. Castor is non tearing wearing so adjust it to liking and feel.
  2. We never got anywhere close to 50mpg with our tdi jetta.
  3. Maybe for 300
  4. I'm more concerned what tap water does. Anything coming out of the ground is nasty. I dont know how much coolant the truck holds but I put damn near 10 gallons of straight water in it and it's still turning dark green.. I'm planning to get a bunch of distilled water and some kinda antifreeze and redo it. Or buy all premixed but I don't even think I'll ever get it all drained to start over fresh with no tap water
  5. Very
  6. Ohhhh I like your style . Very sharp looking truck
  7. Tried not to do this much work on the car. Tore the dash apart to replace the fan switch Then found it steaming alot out the valve cover. Been tearing it down. Hopefully get the head off tomorrow have it surfaced if it's not cracked then go back together.
  8. I like the toyo mt. I ran set of tall narrow ones when my truck was a dually. Did well towing the horse trailer in harsh offroad conditions and handled the street good to. I to had them aired down to about 50 in the rear and 60 in the front. Or something like that. Wheres the pictures. I like the 305x70 size it's just big enough
  9. My 5100s feel like they arent doing much seem to be getting softer every day. Been looking into fox shocks 2.0s I need want more control. Between the 5100s on the front and kyb on rear my truck is all over the place. Just not enough control with a almost 10,000lb truck giving them hell. Also thinking about dual shocks on the front get another pair of cheap shocks. Or fox 2.0s performance series are bolt on
  10. Running sw5 5 4 2 still Just got on the freeway mashed it in 4th at over 1500 truck pulling hard sucking me in the seat turbo screaming probly very little smoke psssssssddddd I hear over the turbo like a aerosol can emptying instantly but not exploding. Chopped the throttle dove off the shoulder thinking head gasket no coolant though hoses still intact all fluids good. Cruised 40 miles after like nothing happened at 70mp making 5ish psi like normal. Haven't gone over half throttle since. It's got me rattled Umm I feel like a gomer hmm I found what it was can you? How I drove 40miles with it staring at me is beyond me.
  11. Doesnt matter what I'm talking about.
  12. Everyone thinks I'm crazy but the grid heater cables came loose on me. The ones below drivers battery. Truck would die driving down rd Check them,Only takes a minute.
  13. Nice Notice it does say manual trans specific that's weird. Is it red? I think I saw that truck with camper in Boise
  14. Yesterday she over heated enough it couldn't recover and I shut it down with a load on it. That's worsted case scenario at times it's the bread earner. And has been for the last few days. I found myself researching low flow coolant systems last night. Wtf . May be a tstat issue but likely is the low flow radiator with 1.2million miles on it.. I try to free fridays for repairs and maintenance that almost never works out lol though I guess today it will. Hopefully back moving material later today or tomorrow have been in contact with Mac's in boise they seem knowledgeable on the low flow coolant systems I better go get at it. Check tstats out and go from there Good to have cummins here. Truck had two bypass tstats.
  15. To those helping here your amazing. As I read this it reads as its FUBARED, my mind says, but your collective minds may get it going . Pretty good group of guys here
  16. You might be able to make a trade with someone for a dana 70. Post an add on craigslist
  17. Did some looking today. With ignition on brake switch on it has 12v on all 3 solenoids. With truck running front solenoid has 13v plus middle and rear have 1.9 . Possibly I'm wired wrong grounding out through ignition switch.
  18. Lengths are listed http://www.fostertruck.com/dodge/dodge-battery-cables.html
  19. I really like talking to the power driven diesel guy. Talked his ear off about the 47re before and after mine was done and not buy them. I joked that when it's time for tranny # 2 I might drive there yank mine for the core and install his in the pking lot or motel pking lot
  20. I haven't changed anything but the switch. To me it sounds like week solenoids or possibly I dont have enough voltage going to them. I really have no clue. Thank for lash tip. Didnt know there was such a thing or that its adjustable I've personally put about 200k on the truck. Motor was inframed at 837000k trucks at 1.2mill now. Never messed with anything but wiring. All wireing is falling apart I noticed a few relays marked retard 1 2 and 3. Might be worth changing them just for shits.
  21. Maybe this is the best place to post this?Theres a cummins big engine guru here that i cant remember his name. I'm trying to get more breaking from the big cummins. I'm dropping solenoids or butterflies at 1800-1500 rpm. I've rewired so all solenoids come on all the time the 3 way switch is gone but still losing engine braking at high rpm. 365 has no trouble idling with switch on sounds like only one solenoid is on. At and idle I flip the switch motor just about dies then powers through and idle at about 700rpm chugging right through the brake. I'm not entirely sure how the system even works. Thank for any help.
  22. I have not checked coolant temp or iat. I have been flushing my coolant system for a week or so off and on. Was running on upper side of 190 now running on lower side of 190. Do I plug it into a scanner to read iat readings? I thought I noticed it run differently after flushing but thought it was just me. Temp gauge barely changed Trying to have a working heater by winter. I'm on sw5 5 4 2 smokes less, aggressive hit of power at 1800-2000 I got on it ounce. Assuming timming locked.
  23. I'm running 7x09 sac from ducky fuel injection. Only thing I've noticed is truck is harder starting in cold temps. Like -10 it cranks quite a bit belching black smoke then finally starts firing on 1 cylinder then slowly pick up the rest one at time. This also not running a block heater. They might be more smokey than vco injectors. Go with ducky fuel injection again not sure if I'll stay sac or go vco again I'll
  24. Not sure what to think anymore. 32.75 works for my tape measure and me
