Recommendation on Trailer Tires
I'm not sure why guys say the 2nd gen wheels wont fit. They appear by at least a glance to have the same offset as the 16" trailer wheels on our 14k trailer. I think the 3rd gen 17" wheels may also fit may they are 6.5" back spacing visually also look to be same or close back spacing as the 16" trailer wheels. With a 3 axle trailer I'm not even sure I'd worry much about the tires rating air them up till the sidewalls look good with whatever you haul and yank it around. I run whatever comes of my pickup on the trailer. Just something round that's rubber

For me I dont push the pedal down much so I like feel tm4 over tm 3. I think tm5 on sw9 would bring back the huge smoke and surgeing. Truck is rocket passing cars on the freeway itl do 70-90 very fast walking right over the 85mph speed limiter I have set. Beating a dead horse to death but I love this sw9 3 3 3 setting Gobs of smooth power lights the turbo on demand no dead spot cruise control is good. Smokes about like our 365 big cam cummins.. I'm just used to it now . Pulling eagle rd on Franklin to the freeway makes a smoke show if I'm loaded. Pretty good uphill pull from a dead stop. Rolling black till the little hy35 gets to kickn I'm alittle un easy to tow but probly will. Blowing a head gasket isnt the end of the world it then becomes a needed expense to keep working so I can hide it.

Have more miles now. Sw9 4 3 3 Smoke is more and less. Tm 4 slight surge on freeway compared absolutely smooth tm3 Normal driving sw9 tm4 has less smoke than sw5 5 3 3 The times I've needed to get on it to get into traffic it lights with authority but smokes more than sw5 5 my but dyno says it pulls noticably harder to. It will light turbo very fast if I moderate heavy throttle if I stand on itl lag and smoke like hell tell the turbo starts to scream. Then bump through all gear in literally seconds. Converter seems to be locking hard to wich I find odd it should lock softer because its shifting alittle sooner than it was. Sound is hard to explain kind more pop coming out the tail pipe

Upgrade or Trade
Turnbuckle waste gate and put quad boost fooler on and I bet youl see reduced egts pulling 9000lb on your current set up. Before turnbuckle I had to peddle off alot of grades now I can pull most but not all without peddling off egt temps. Pulling most steeper long grades at 65mph pushing 30plus Boost at 12.5egt sustained. Before I couldn't sustain 12.5 at all I'd be doing 50 at the top because I had to peddle back. Turnbuckle your current set up to see if it lowers egts and raises boost. I was skeptical that it would was fairly shocked to see more boost and lower temps together. That's with smarty and 7x009 injectors. When if I ever upgrade my turbo I'll probably go non waste gated if possible.

Got a few miles on sw9 4 3 3 Smoothest power Ive found feels very natural overall feel like the same power as sw5 no surging. No hard power hit at 1800 no flat spot in power just below 1800. Overall just a damn nice driving tune. Smoke seems about the same as sw5 cant tell if its smoking more or less. Boost is as soon as I touch the throttle truck seems to sound different. My exhaust is pretty quite driving around under light throttle I can hear it more well different. This tune makes me happy lol. Not sure its tow safe but we will see.. I recommend trying it if you guys haven't.

Upgrade or Trade
How heavy are you towing? I tow 15k on the flat rolling hills with no egt issues with 7x009 hy35 and smarty. Before turnbuckling the waste gate egts were noticeably higer. I'll run under 1200 out on flats running 80mph. But get on pull and I have to drive by the gauge and pedal off temps to stay under 12.5egt. Towing a 2horse trailer though to 8500ft is no issues running the speed limit 65 on mtn highways with switch backs. No issues either pulling steep grades slow on gravel mtn roads. Under 25mph. I run in 4low.

Upgrade or Trade
I think I'd do quad ,7x.010 that way you can download a good tune and start somewhere solid. No idea on turbo. The hy35 can work if you turnbuckle the waste gate. But shes screaming I've seen mine hit 38psi. Set 6 grand aside and do power driven desiel tranny or dynamic. Might not need all the 6 but youl be close. That's a new truck still. I got mine at 150k it has 307k now Racing mike to 400 I'm coming from behind

I know I'm not that's why I lowerd timing to 3. Only time I'd lock timing towing and I might not want to do that on timing 4 Thinking about trying sw9 with tm 2 or 3 I dont think I've tried that yet Trying it. Sw9 3 3 3 Cruise on at 1800rpm super smooth zero surge I'm shocked. Have not got on it. Quite abit of haze showing in headlights behind me Very excited about how smooth cruise was. This may be the ticket

AUTO TRANS SYMPTOMS
Ohhh man. I have not tested it with lever clipped back. I'd imagine late hard shifts under light throttle possible break the input shaft

AUTO TRANS SYMPTOMS
I got my ppe blemished pan off ebay for 120. Dynamic I have searched and found nothing on where to set TV stop not for any application. I guess I need to search harder. I dont have 47re manul and grew tired of it. I thought i had TV stop where i wanted but now i notice some early downshifts I'm thinking raise minumum tv pressure slightly will make downshifts happen later. I dont want to tighten cable because it's right where i want it. However i did thinkin about making arm longer to take up slack and still pull close to linear with throttle input. Maybe ad a few balls on the arm 1/2" apart from eachother I think to much. I'm getting close to 15k on it since i last had the pan off. Pretty happy with it but it can always be better

47re Trans Service Tips and Tricks
It might be okay to assume triple disc with a 7000 tranny. I kinda like the 47re now if the need ever arises I'll to a triple disc and shaft. And possibly buy valve body since mine isnt recomended for a triple now. Dynamic. No shuddering I'm aware on my current single disc tranny shuddering and slipping was occurring with the tranny before having it rebuilt . Both locked or unlocked

Strange brake rotors
I agree I haven't seen any drastic or noticable differences with pads. My research did lead me to think that drilled rotors would decrease braking power. Slotted might increase due to cutting the glaze of pads. A 2000 lb. Car on race course will creat massive heat compared to our trucks.

in-tank lift pump
The gauge imploding was a slight exaggeration ;) I freaked out when it idled at 4 that was just after doing a injection pump. I'm on about 15 years now. Truck is on its second injection. I know my injection pump could go at anytime I feel it's done its job, time flies. I highly doubt the injection would have survived this long without the fuel system and never seeing less than 15lbs

47re Trans Service Tips and Tricks
Dynamic definatly has the experience. However my old tired tranny would slip first on atf+4 would shudder hard if I got on it leaving from a stop. Tractor trans mixed with red fluid help the shudder alot. Now the tranny doesnt care atf+4 and any red fluid will hold in my eyes and my experience plus 4 will slip before all otheres. I only have experience with wore out tired tranny and now the same tranny after being rebuilt with a single disc So basically no experience really to speak of. Power driven diesel has they're witches brew fluid I'd like to try but doubt its much different than me mixing red fluid with tractor fluid. Alot of people like the amzoil but it is not a atf+4 fluid however it does meet Chrysler specs for atf+4 I'm just rambling Will not hurt a thing to run what the tranny is speced to run lol no **** sherlock.

AUTO TRANS SYMPTOMS
It may firm shift under light throttle. Putting a gauge on it would determine if it's a healthy tranny. I'm guessing that it is since it firm shifts. You might readjust bands though it sounds like. good. You can do a Borg Warner solenoid. And tranducer. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F201295614242

AUTO TRANS SYMPTOMS
Bend the bracket on tranny that holds the cable to tighten or loosen it. There is minimum TV cable adjustment inside the tranny this will set minimum pressure. I do not k ow specs for this adjustment. It a bolt stop that just physical stops the TV lever. Maybe dynamic has the spec I do t and haven't found. I've messed with mine until I like how it pulls off idle. I may raise minumum tv pressure alittle more trying not drop the pan till its at least got 10k or so on the oil. You can hold the TV arm with zip ties or wire to do the same thing the bolt adjustment does inside the tranny. Is the the truck down shifting?

Radiator flush
Probably was I think it had orange in it at one time. Just reverse flushed and I think made a big difference air feels hot coming out the vents hard to tell since it's already 80 outside. Running another gallon of vinegar oil. Ohh my clutch fan came on at idle truck way under 180. I pulled the hose that goes to tstat and got clutch fan wet. Fan hasn't shut off since. Hmmm it used to never come on now I think it might be worse if it never shuts off.

47re Trans Service Tips and Tricks
Ppe is what I have. I almost did goerend but decided I wanted a bigger pan. My metal lines are leaking so I pack a case of this I added a quart last night to stay up on the stick. Need to find the time to do all soft lines. I've had my truck 15 years built the tranny 2 years ago and just did the ppe pan 3 months ago or so. I mess with the tranny alot the drain plugs a god send. Lol though the deep pan is more a pain to take on and off. I did do a drain plug in the factory pan. Latly I've been worried or thinking the filter might drop off the tranny not sure I like filter being lowerd. I think I'd notice as soon as it dropped though I'm rambling
