Finished my Fooler
Yes, upload a tune, wait 1 minute, and start the truck, turn the truck off, load the stock tune back, wait another minute, and its done.

Finished my Fooler
If the feature is enabled, the only parameters that have to be met in order to turn the high idle off is hit the brake, be moving faster than 1 mph, putting the vehicle in any other gear besides park(hit the brake pedal). There is no waiting to move, turn the truck off, anything. When the SMARTY tune is uploaded and then the ECM is returned to stock, the high idle/3 cylinder idle is left behind.

Finished my Fooler
There is no drawbacks to this that I know of, and you will not have any control over the idle features because the ECM controls this.

Finished my Fooler
DieselD24, I will be in Denver on Friday, not sure what time, I will have my SMARTY with me. I have to do something at The Childrens Hospital. We can throw a tune on yours and then return it to stock so that you have the high idle feature and 3 cylinder idle. 719-six8o-o171 Stodg73

True Mileage
If you have a SMARTY, you can recalibrate the speedometer. However, if you use anothers to load in the calibration and then take the SMARTY off, you will loose the calibration.

gauges
Yes, GlowShift are decent gauges. I have had mine for the past year, and so far no problems. They come with everything you need for the gauge. The main problem is that you have to extend the wiring on them.

I also realize that some are '93 models.

Speedometer calibration with no math involved
What he is talking about is the speedometer gear in the transmission. On certain older models, in order to change the speedometer to the correct speed, they would just change out this gear. On our trucks, this is done by recalibrating the speedometer through an update to the computer, either a dealer or if you have a SMARTY, you can do this. There are some aftermarket boxes that you can put on your truck to get the correct readings. I have oversize tires and I just use a GPS for the correct speed.

Tire Air Pressure
I have those tires and I run about 70psi in the front and anywhere between 50-80 psi in the back, depending if I have a load/trailer or not.

New Generation of GPS...
I used JB weld to glue some magnets to the base of the TomTom. I then glued a piece of thin steel in the bottom pod of my triple pod. Then magnets that I used are neodymium magnets, just don't let them get close to any credit cards or computers, as they are very powerful.

If you can check fuse numbers 2,3,6, & 10. See if these fuses are good. I am looking at my underhood fuse panel for these, '01.5 engine. These fuses are the ones that are 'engine control', 'ign/run'.

turbo squeal
Yes, the 0500 is the speed sensor. There are 3 on the truck, both front wheels and on the diff. If you have spun any of the wheels(snow, mud), it will trip the 0500. At least, this is what it did on mine.

turbo squeal
I think that your p1693 is being caused by the p0500 code.

MPG fooler - Design phase
Also, the pistons for the H.O. are different shapes than the S.O. due to the different injection pattern.

MPG fooler - Design phase
Am I an enigma because I get 22 mpg @ 75mph? I am running everything in my sig. I am turning about 2100-2200 rpm. When I am loaded with about 10k I get about 15.5+ mpg at 70mph.
