  1. Aluminium melts at about 1250*, yet the pistons are an alloy, so they can go higher. So, sustained temps of 1200* are ok.I am in the school of 1250* or less for sustained durations. When empty at about 75 mph, my egt's are about 800*'s. Unloaded sustained bursts: 1200* for more than 30 seconds.Unloaded Max Bursts: 1300* less than 30 seconds longLoaded Sustained Bursts: 1200* all day long.

  5. You then might look into a SMARTY.I have one and I get all of those options. Plus, you can get new updates online. The hardest thing about the SMARTY is that they have to be plugged in to change the settings. With the SMARTY, you get 10 different setting that you can use, depending on what you are needing to do. From fuel saver to dump in as much as possible. You also get the ability to check for codes and clear them. You might ask THRacing on here as to what he has in stock or can get without being overpriced, as he is in Canada also.
  6. Need a few questions anwered:What type of chip, adjustable or programmable?Do you have or want a OBD II code reader?Ease of adjustment or somewhat hard adjustment?Do you tow all the time or just every once in a while? When you tow, do you tow heavy or light?Do you want to be able to have larger tires and adjust the speedometer for them? How much are you willing to spend?

  16. On problem #2, you can use a add-a-fuse mini. On the inside fuse box, there is a 5 amp fuse that is powered by the light switch. When tapping the exhaust manifold, you can us a shop vac to keep most of the shavings out of the manifold. It is better to put the EGT probe in the manifold, due to the 200-300* difference. On the fuel pressure snubber, I am not sure. Others will chime in.
