  2. Read this and you should get a little bit better mileage.
  3. You see the fuel filter, then off to the right you should see 3 silver nuts, that is where the fuel pump is located in the stock position.
  4. Welcome to the site!
  5. Welcome to the Forum!
  6. It could be exhaust rattle from the exhaust gasses hitting the resonator.
  7. I am in the Mountain Time Zone. Yet, I am on the computer most of the day.So any time that everyone wants to get in chat, I can be there for most of it.
  8. 0594 is the cruise control system, servo-control, circuit open, code. This is a generic code for all manufacturers.
  9. This is the one that I got from AutoZone.
  10. If you get a rewards card from AutoZone, you get $20 for every $100 you spend, so after a while you might get a discount on your scanner.
  11. Welcome, sound like you have some great projects.Stodg
  12. You cannnot update the ABS or speedometer, unless you buy a SMARTY of your own. Once the CaTCHER software is unloaded and your truck is back to stock. Any changes made are wiped out, unless you have a SMARTY of your own. The high idle software is left behind though.
  13. For the SMARTY to work, he needs to unload it from his truck, load any program onto yours. Wait 1 minute, start your truck. Turn your truck off, unload the SMARTY from your truck and reload it back onto his with all the settings he previously had. Your truck will have the high idle loaded then. The VIN lock is so that multiple trucks can't have different software on them. This is how SMARTY makes their money.
  14. I think that 'life' got in the way of the chat room for most of us. We should really start back up again.
  15. Is the trucked parked inside or outside? If outside, you might get a solar cell to keep the batteries charged while it is parked. If you go this route, make sure to get one that is at least 15 watts, this translates to about 0.75 amp/hour charge rate.I agree with Mike, pull the fuses one at a time and check for a power drain.
  16. The question is do you have the switch to turn the heated mirrors on though. The switch is on the dash near the radio.
  17. C Holmes, the truck did come prewired for all the options, yet Dodge didn't always use them. So yes, it did come prewired.

    Welcome!
  19. Jeep in my sig. Hayabusa! And some others that I don't have any pictures of.
  20. That is enough to make the vibration that you are talking about. Try changing it with the spare and see if the vibration goes away. If it does, then you need a new tire.
  21. You may have to have the tires rebalanced. If you do have this done, make sure to watch the tire while it is on the balancer and look closely for a broken belt. The broken belt will look like a small hump in the tire. This is what happened to me when I had a vibration that I could not find. I bought new tires and this fixed the problem.
  22. I run an oil temp gauge. Generally, it takes about twice as long for the oil to get back to normal operating temperature, than the coolant. Even at 75 mph, it still takes about 2 x's as long. Most of the time my oil temp is about 185* at operating temp, after a pull, the oil temp went up to 224*, the coolant temp was at about 220*. It took about 2 minutes to have the coolant down to 190* and about 4 minutes to have the oil temp down to 190* also. This was at 75 mph. So it may take a bit longer if you are sitting idling to get the oil temp down. Here is where I put the sensor for the oil temp. It is in the oil filter housing, next to the turbo line.
  23. You might try here, if you need new mirrors. http://www.discountautomirrors.com/
  24. Depending on what you are doing, a 2wd is very good. You can put some weight in the back and if you have decent tires, you should be able to get around if you drive safely. Other instances you will need tire chains, not cables. Or like CUMMINSPOWER suggested, you could get a small 4wd like I have. I know that Mike(M1973M) had one of these for sale a while ago.
