  1. OK, I gotta look for mine later today when I check my oil. Drivers side of the block by the wire harness, cool , got it! Thanks, Dave
  2. It's up to 349.00 now. A Reman, huh?
  3. How ' bout something simple like your air cleaner? BHAF?I thought BIO fuel boosts MPG & performance up till B20. Least that's what i've read & heard from people that I've have high admiration for.
  4. Well now you know where to go first next time if need be!
  5. Ouch! Sorry, what a clean truck. Looks like that could be straightened out to me. The Dually fiberglass will have to be removed. Don't they cut the skin for the fiberglass wheel housing? Think they do. Just make sure to recoat the insides when the repair is done to keep that rust away. I'll have to look at what state your from. Is this a daily driver? Dave
  6. Welcome, reflash worked for me.Don't they have tuners/chips that do that now? Since you lost the dealer close by. It cost me somewhere around 130 bucks. I can't remember where I read about the new reprogramers, Diesel World Magazine maybe?Dave
  7. You Rock Dude! Thanks,DaveI know I will eventually need to put one in. Been throwing the death code since I got the truck in April of 08. It ain't broke yet! Starts very easily even in this cold, even first start of the day!
  8. Nice job on the install. I like the detailed drawing & appreciate the time it took you to put this on Michael's site.Happy Holidays everyone,Dave
  9. I hope we didn't start an epidemic here. An H1N1 fuel leak! I don't have one yet on my truck!
  10. Oh, here is where I saw his name, new I read it someplace! Thanks, Dave
  11. When I was having trouble with my alternator, I was keeping my charge on my battries by using a Battery Tender brand charger. That way I wasn't frying my batteries. Make sure when you charge the them to disconnect them from each other.I ordered a rebuild kit for my alternator from Geno's Garage. Comes with a new brush & bearings. It did the trick. I never took one apart before, it was not a difficult job at all. As long as the diodes are good in the alternater you'll be good to go. I was driving my truck until the parts came. Just around town.My gauge is low too until the grid stops recycling. If it's cold out, it can take a little while, esp if we are constantly staring it the gauge. Like waiting for water to boil!I think you can make the 25 mile trip if the batteries are up. Hopefully Michael diagnosed your problem!
  12. Do you have a web site so that we can check out your goods?Thanks,Dave3500
  13. USMC.That was going to be question as well. In N, does it let the fluid circulate through more of the trans? I can do that while I'm letting it sit for the extra minute I let it run in the colder temps. At least until the heat grid stops cycling.Dave
  14. That's sweet! I will PM you!Dave3500
  15. These are great trucks to enjoy, learn, & work on. I just the improvements every time I do just that.So how did the valve adj. work out? Did you notice much an improvement? Any quieter? I did on mine!
  16. Great posts guys, wonderful info, just what I really wanted to check out! Thanks everyone,Dave
  17. Yep,Get out the 1/2 inch impact, when I did a rebuild on my alt. that's what I used, worked great. If you like working on these trucks, you're going to have to get an air compressor w/ all the toys if you don't already have one. I got the biggest one I could afford, a real time saver. When I did replace my ball joints, I could have almost used a 3/4 gun, would have been a little easier.Good idea on using the water pump to help turn, sometimes you gotta improvise!Dave
  18. Michael,What's the install like, just plug it into the OBD right? All the things you've mentioned are all then monitored? Thanks,Dave
  19. Hi Guys,OK you cats sold me. Think I'll have santa bring me one. Any better price on these othe than AutoZone for $169?With my luck though, it may say replace the truck or replce the loose screw behind the steering wheel! LOL Does it give FP, trans temp, boost, etc. readings? Thanks,Dave
  20. Hey Flatbed,Had my front end aligned yesterday & mine is much better. Mine was at the 2 o'clock position. BTW, 40 bucks for an alignmet is a better price than I paid. Mine was like $55.Before I was able to get mine aligned I had to install 4 new Moog problem solver ball joints, one new Moog outer tie rod, & a Rancho steering stabilizer. At least let them check to see if everything is tight. :thumbsup Dave
  21. Nice job 2500,Is that the same one you have Michael? So with this setup, one doesn't need the other gauges, fp, trans temp, etc. Right? So the Scan II functions as a diagnostic & monitoring device?I did check out Michael's youtube vid w/ fuel milage data, 23.1 MPG, trip distance, fuel used, etc.Cool toys for big boys, :thumbsup Dave
  22. Wow tuff one here. Can it be possible that it is sucking air somewhere?
  23. Yep 10-4 on the pricing! I always go to the auto dept when the wife is shopping to check prices. Dave
