the only time you have to worry about alge or bactieria is if you have bio-diesel, if you have REAL diesel no problems:thumb1:

... a civil rights issue ?
I tell you what two weeks ago was my local county fair parade and when the DFL group came down the street they were holding signs complaining about the republicans because as you all know my state govnment was shut down for 3 weeks because of our idiotic govener and his crones wouldnt budge. So when the republicans came down the same street they had a full color gaurd leading them and were so patriotic I could cry! So I saw representive Chip Cravaack coming down my side of the street (If you don't know he defeted Jim Oberstar dfl for over 30yrs in my district) so I made sure I shook his hand and told him he was a GREAT AMERICAN and I belelive he is and we need to support more guys like this to get our geat country back to what it was built apon freedom not free handouts! sorry for the long rant again THANKS
-
He 351 ve
So do you think this is a good way to go or should I look a hybrid 35/40 or just a 40. thanks for the input:thumb1:

... a civil rights issue ?
You see guys but their is something we can do about this and it doesent take that much, call, mail, email, or whatever you representives, it doesent take much! they will get the clue and if they don't, bye bye. I love our great country and I don't mind paying taxes when I know it is going for what government was created for, our protection (our GREAT MILITARY) I am all about giving all of our great solders anything they want but so a-hole that is doing nothing gets a free phone and free food stamps, health care, exc, why go to work, and if you are the one getting it of corse you are going to vote for that guy again, its like buying votes with our money:doh: and we as americans are alowing it. So yeah I think this puts alot of people into the rant mode, thanks:banghead:

Hey I manage a NAPA and we have our new platinum oil filter #47620 is on sale this month for $8.04 and I don't know a whole lot about this filter because they are brand new but my filter rep said they are the same as the amsoil filtes because wix makes alot of amsoils filters. Good Luck:thumb1:

Engine Oil Weight and other Characteristics
Now a couple weeks ago I had the Royal Purple rep in our NAPA store and he was telling me that the first # of the oil is the cold pour point and the second # was the operating temp flow point. Now as was said in this post not all 15w 40's are equal for instance they use less of the chemical that prevents sheer, but they use a product that keeps more of this product in the places sheer happens. Also another thing he said was that their oil is polerized so the oil accually sticks to metal. he said a good way to test this is you can't just wipe this oil off metal you have to use a solvent like brake clean to remove it. I hope I did not confuse any one any more but thought you would like to know:2cents: Thanks

Alternator (Bearings are failing)
what was the part # of the one you got?
-
Alternator (Bearings are failing)
Hey very good choice on the Napa:thumb1: now they should have 3 differnt ones avaliable a reman 3yr warranty, a reman lifetime warranty and a new lifetime warranty and from my experince selling all of them they are all great products. I know you can buy lifetimes ones that are cheaper but you don't want to worry about breaking down somewhere their isint a Autozone around (like Minnesota). So I hope that makes you feel a little more warm and fuzzy:thumb1:

fuel life
Diesel fuel will store fine UNLESS it has any BIO in it the Bio fuel has a much shorter shelf life and will promote the growth of bactieria and othe crap. Like me I am blessed to have that SH@% in every fill because my stat mandates it in all our fuel:doh:

Need a wheel bearing, are these crap?
Yeh I don't know why some bearings cost more but alot of it has to do with popularity:shrug: But one thing I can say is why so many guys will shop twenty differnt places to get the cheapest wheel bearings and put them on their $15,000 to $50,000 truck not including the $1,000's in aftermarket parts I just don't get it do you buy the cheapest injectors, turbos, torque converters, exc I thought their was something to be said for quallity:thumb1:
-
Need a wheel bearing, are these crap?
Now like I said they may last longer than 25k but you do get what you pay for when you buy a premium bearing now I know someone will have a bad experience with a premium hub but they are far and few bettween. Also NAPA is the largest auto parts store in the USA and if they were paying to much for something they wouldnt buy it. And lastly I also do know that the premium bearing is not in every ones buget and we also sell alot of cheaper bearings but on that note like I said you get what you pay for so the choice is up to you I know our bearings and like I said $100 plus shipping for the ABSOLUTE cheapest bearing they can buy or $150 for the absolute NOT cheapest bearing OR $266 for ONE of the BEST bearings you can buy. Thanks again for my !

Need a wheel bearing, are these crap?
Hey I just looked and we have our cheaper one which is a performer brg (uasully chinal) but I have alot of guys that buy our cheaper vs Oriellys better (only Oriellys in our town) for $150 part #PBR930502 and our better SKF brg for$265 part #BR930502 now our better brg is 3yr45000 warranty and yes that is a full warranty!! it has the OEM wiring harness and uses OEM bearings in it, yes it is a great bearing my rep and yes he reps both our better and cheaper ones said that our premium bering is desined to last 100,000+ miles and our cheaper 25,000 miles and yes I have seen them go much further and shorter the KEY I have found out is that make sure you follow the tourque specs because that is where I have seen the most problems (installation) good luck and hope you injoyed my:2cents:
-
Need a wheel bearing, are these crap?
Hey guys I manage a NAPA and I do agree with AH64ID you do get what you pay for and yes lifetime warranty does not cover wear, but yes I know that sometimes they will. the other thing how much is shipping back and forth every 15,000 miles to warranty the product and really are you going to put a cheap bearing on your 7,000lbs plus truck, and yes not all china bearings are the same some have way better quallity control and most korea is worse. What is the truck your looking for bearings so I can check it out:thumb1:
