  1. retarded or late timing moves the burn down into the cylinder body, thus heat soaking the coolant. even older gas motors run hooter with retarded timing.
  2. Infinite Performance ^^^^ this was your difference. the internal mods are a huge factor, and infinite is know as being one of the top builders.
  3. the statement about armor all is somewhat funny to me, every dirrty never to be wiped dash that i have seen is in perfect condition, every dash i see that some tries to care for has cracked...just how it is.
  4. billet shafts, and HD flexplate at a min... the stock flexplate is not very well built.
  5. p pump it, e-trans controller and run stand alone gauges.
  6. dont concern your self with HP...pay attention to Torque. the 47re is a 700lb ft torque number...in my case, i am right at that point, hence why I feel it has lived so long.
  7. Custom mount at frame as well ? i have looked at Extreme Articulations weld on.
  8. depending on year, the cab is basically the same...obviously the 94-97 dash is different as will be the mounting for it, but easily fixed. the shifter hump is there on a manual, the autos have the indents to locate.
  9. some will disagree but read up.... i have 205K miles on a bone stock 47re, the TV cable is adjusted to shift a touch later and increase pressure just slightly....i sshift WOT throttle at 3K rpm. 26-2800 is most recommendations. i have a 75hp injector, and a canbus tuner on performance ALL THE TIME. this truck gets played with, used and is my daily driver ACROSS THE COUNTRY. the only other item i swapped was at 115K miles ( I purcahsed with 105K) i started servicing the trans with JOHN DEERE HYGARD HYDRAULIC FLUID low viscosity. this trans has not given me a single issue. so a stock truck, i would speak with DYNAMIC about the TV CABLE, keep it serviced, and a possible lock up switch if you like.,
  10. yes it does, that is all in the flash used to return.
  11. whos track bar ? Custom Made ?
  12. they are...
  13. you can do any easy quick check your self.,...just measure toe. if you want, a string line and two jackstands while it is in the air...only takes about 10 mins and then you know how close it is.
  14. probably the ONLY reason the resistor goes, is a bad / tight motor....if the fan speeds quit, start looking at the motor because it blew the resistor
  15. yep, any year without belts in the seat can be made to work...may require some bracket fab, but easily done. for a Club Cab, your unlimited for a Quad Cab, you need a sebring, chevy from 99-06 or a f series excab truck...anything with belts built in
  16. call John and ask him, he knows best. typically the case is very similar and the internal hard parts vary, that said, the increase in sizze of some parts warrant a case change.
  17. 94-97 98-01 (02 2500/3500) the earlier years did not have seat belts built into them. you actually have more selection from various other makers....the late 2 gens are limited
  18. could one run the smarty, along with a quad on a stock setting and data log ? i thought nick had some runs showing this ?
  19. thats right....in I rder one from larry b...got the 90 degree exit on the bench mine is straight and i cannot locate one anywhere. a member did modify the rear cover and used the 90 outlet with no issues yet.
  20. what a jump....hopefully for future members...pf course if the resistor pops, go for the blower also. i had 1 speed, wide open and the air force wasnt real hard. i did a resistor as it was in stock, just to have less cab noise. it was toast before the blower motor showed up. mine would hardly turn, swapped the cage to a new motor, replaced it and the resistor again....hvac works like new.
  21. location dependant.... i locate rust free 1500's on a daily basis. i am eyeing one nownfor myself, siler qc 1500 2wd...fairly low miles, rust free and no body damage, just midly faded paint, but clear is intact. it runs great, and does drive but trans slips...$2200. total steal in my book when you price time and labor of body work. now with having a company truck again...mine just might get all pretty again.
  22. The assassin has been around, a few older trucks have run them....they have / had horrible customer service whereas GDP will answer phone/emails on sundays within a matter of minutes.
  23. my guess would be to adjust the toe setting...but that will change with the weight. that much weight belongs more forward and spread among the truck, not reward and lifting the front end.
  24. mine has the factory filter, FASS DDRP, 3/8 lines from stock hard line up, and the fuel boss...i only bump the fass occasionally to keep it working.
  25. that is good for stock or a canbus box only, anything else i would go with a larger pump
