  1. Nothin wrong with a 12V. Definition of old reliable. Biggest thing that kept me away was non-opening rear doors and the rust issues most had around here due to age. Price seems a bit high to me for a single cab but if it's extremely clean, and rust free.................
  2. Holy resurrected thread Batman!
  3. I have a Pequea C2500 6.5'x12'. It's perfect for me and my fire wood operation. My '58 Ferguson or 1835B skiddy fit in nicely. It's 9999 GVWR which is also good for me because in PA anything over 10k is considered CDL and subject to a whole other array of California like regulations.
  4. I hope the one with the open toe sandals is just a looker and not a helper. I like your trailer.
  5. Gaggle heck, that's a whole platoon! I'm outta here
  6. I just noticed you have a 99. The CL link I provided is an 01. You want to try to get a 98.5 or 99 year engine for your truck if you go the used route. Some early 00 might work too. There's a difference in sensors between early and late models that makes interchanging them a nightmare. There's an article here if you wish to study up on the subject. Personnaly I'd try to rebuild what you have if it's possible. Too bad @Ed ke6bnl is on the other end of the country. That engine would be perfect. Could be a produce hauler out there looking to fill the load and bring it along east with him. It's pretty common this time of the year for produce from CA to be hauled back here to PA. Just a thought.
  7. How bad did you hash it? Is it not worth rebuilding? Your'e from back my way. I see used engines for sale on Craiglist from time to time. That's how I found one to replace my 53 block. Also check the used auto parts yards. Harr'ys U Pullit has several locations now in PA and is a huge yard. I'm sure there's something out there for a lot less than 10k. https://baltimore.craigslist.org/pts/d/union-bridge-cummins-24-valve-engine/6811764227.html
  8. Hate to be the short guy that ran into Mikes hitch. Ripped his nuts right off!
  9. A whole gaggle of em! Oh boy. Time to dig the 44mag. out of storage and save myself. How many's in a gaggle? I think I only have 2 speed loaders
  10. There's always a catch.............................

  13. NAPA gold and Shell Ro-smella for me.
  14. Hello and welcome! The only shop I know to recommend is Zimmys garage up on rt. 322 going towards Campbelltown. If I ever have a problem I can't figure out that's where I'd go. They also have a lot at the old Birchwood automotive in Schaefferstown, but I believe most of the diesel work gets done at the other location. They have a good reputation in the area. There's also Hassler Diesel off 501 in Bethel, but I don't know much about them. East Coast Diesel in Johnstown is another one. My neighbor had quite a bit of work done there on his 98. All pretty far from you I know. York is just not an area I know much about, other than the engine I bought to replace my cracked 53 block came from Winterstown. Not sure what might be closer to you. Like others have said there' alot of info. on this site if you are able to do the wrenching yourself. https://zimmeysdiesel.com/ https://www.hasslerdiesel.com/ https://www.ecddiesel.com/ Nice truck by the way. Not often we see any that clean here in the state where rock salt is the state mineral.
  15. If it can be driven I'd hardly call it 'secure'. 20 miles was plenty enough to get it in the shop and figure it out behind closed doors. Thieves that dumb are not the ones you have to worry about.
  16. Every one on any Dodge Cummins forum knows you. Your picture and your trucks picture are all over the internet. A weak stock truck is worth every bit as much and more than a modded, beat to hell rust bucket. I'm not saying your truck is a beat to hell rust bucket. Just making a point. I already have 3 toggle switches in my truck. Does that mean I have a Quad under the hood? One good 2nd gen. heist can pay for an old rollback.
  17. A true thief who really wants the truck would have the app loaded and tune written before hand. Then he'd turn the truck on by popping the ignition lock and down load his tune and drive off assuming the connection can be established or hacked. If a man built it there's always another man who can break it. But why go to all that trouble, just pop the hood and disconnect the quad and return to stock. How do they know there's a Quad? You just told the world you have one. Or do like they do around here and back a rollback up in broad daylight and winch it on. Nobody says anything because nobody cares and even if they did they are none the wiser. They just say" awww, poor guys truck broke down. At least those kind gentlemen are taking it back to their shop to fix it". Not trying to start a pissing match but the bottom line is if somebody wants your truck they'll get it and not because it has a tuning toggle switch or monitor.
  18. Couldn't anyone with a BT device connect to it and turn it up anyway? Or is the connection password protected. I'm not interested in the security system feature personally. If the Russians could hack the election I would think any kid nowadays could hack a BT connection
  19. Yeah, makes sense. But being I don't have a fully built auto. I really don't like the idea of towing with my 400hp race tune. The 47re can do wonders with a few small mods which I have as long as you treat it nice. I don't need a screen for gauges, I already have those. What would be sweet for me is a way to switch between OFF and my 2 favorite tunes without having to boot up a device. A toggle switch like the XZT+ has would be ideal.
  20. I'm not really sure. I put this engine in to replace the cracked 53 block I was blessed with. At the time I was running an XZT+ and noticed that this engine ran nearly as good without it as the old one did with it so I assume I have something bigger than stock but not sure. I have some Bosch cores waiting on the shelf just trying to figure out what I want them turned into. And that depends on whether or not I jump into V2. With all the posts about higher HP injectors losing pop pressure within 30-40k miles here lately I;m not sure if I want to go that route or not. Might just be like you and keep the Edge and get 50's. I have an auto. so smoke is a little easier to control. Just really on the fence right now.
  21. I'm also waiting to see what kind of monitor they come up with. The time in my truck is 50-50 empty- towing. I run 5x5 empty and 2-3x3 towing so I don't leave my transmission on the road. With Edge I just push a button to change. Being I'm not like 90% of people nowadays that have a smart phone connected to them 24-7 I would have to fire up a device to change a tune. Waiting 5-10 min. for a device to boot up and hopefully connect without issue does not appeal to me too much.
  22. Just thinking about this. My Chrysler 300m's alarm started to develop a mind of it's own, going off randomly for no reason. I searched for a way to disable it and came up empty. I discovered that it will not arm if you manually lock the doors. That's what we've been doing for better than a year now. Don't know if theses trucks are like that or not. Worth a try I guess.
  23. Slow down a little. You blew the paint right off that 94 . You'll do just fine with the 04. It will be quite a difference.... in a good way.
  24. OK, I'll rephrase that. I'm skeeered about the programming part. I'll probably wait and study awhile yet.
