Brakes, power steering
Put a cap or plug of some sort on the reservoir nipple where you took the hose off so the oil stays in the reservoir during the process. I cut a short piece of rubber line, stuffed a bolt in the end to plug it, and put it back on the nipple until I was done with the flush. just need to plug the hole so fluid doesn't run out.

The RPM reading comes from the cam or crank sensor so you'll be OK there. You'll need to get the speedo reprogrammed to your tire size to show proper MPH though.

I pounded on mine at that spot to get the gauges to come back on. That's why I'm . It worked though. At least that time.

Smashed vacuum line and a mystery hose.
Napa is not what it used to be. The local one in town is an original company store. The head guys from Georgia I believe came in and tore it inside out taking out what they thought didn't sell and putting in what they thought would. I was in afterwards and asked Earl what happened to the HELP rack and the shelf that had all the air chucks and fittings on it. He said that all went away shaking his head, "but look down below, we have a nice selection of Matchbox cars and air fresheners now". Then he took me in the back and let me pick a tire gauge out of the box they threw all the stuff into. What a shame. I rarely use NAPA anymore.

New to me truck
99, busted dash, sagging headliner, oil leaks....... For a minute there I almost went to look out the window and see if somebody stole my truck . I'm pretty sure the dealer can take care of your tire size programming. There was just a thread about it not long ago. There was a TSB about loose instrument clusters floating around. It may be on this sight, not sure. Basically the one plug needs replaced because they get loose. I'm fighting it on mine too. Other than that welcome to the forum!! Sounds like you have a challenge on your hands. There's lots of knowledge here.

HELP
If it all worked before the engine was out and doesn't now you forgot to plug something in. It's possible but doubtful that relays and fuses just suddenly failed after an engine installation. You said you got the to come on. How? Which of the many suggestions above have you tried? Makes it easier for us to know if we're on the right track.

HELP
Power to the starter only means the big wire is hooked up to the battery. Do you have power to the smaller trigger wire for the solenoid when the key is turned to the start position? There are 2 or 3 military style plugs up by the firewall. Are you sure they are all connected right? Sounds to me like the key switch signal is not going through i.e not connected.

Leaking Axle
Again, NO NEED to pull both axles to do the passenger side on a CAD axle truck. I've had my axles out more than once to replace unit bearings and brake rotors. If you're careful you can do it. You keep forgetting you have an 02 non CAD and OP does not. Two totally different set ups.

Leaking Axle
There is a vent fastened to the frame on the passenger side. Mine will push oil out of it sometimes when I'm parked on a slope leaning that way on a hot day. I have a PDF procedure I'll post if I can find it. I changed the passenger side probably 5 yaers ago. The drivers side is still A OK. No need to change it if it's not leaking IMHO.

Leaking Axle
You can replace the passengers side without removing the carrier or drivers axle. I did mine a few years ago. If you're doing the drivers side it has to be removed. This is assuming you have a CAD axle and can work through the actuator hole.

New Death Wobble Issue – 2001 3500 EX Cab Dually 2WD?
Just now noticed this. I never had DW just sloppy steering. After replacing everything but the steering box it got better. I decided to replace the junk Rancho shocks I had and that made as much if not more difference than the rest. Can't track straight if the tires are bouncing off the road. Worn tires won't help either. Glad you made some progress.

Lions and Tigers and Brazilian 53 Blocks
My truck still has it's jack. It sits behind the steering wheel. It's not the original jack though. Probably not worth $1000 either.

replacing trailer roof advice
I seriously considered black jack for my roof since I realized my camper will never move from where it's at. I'm sure it would seal well, but Lord have mercy on the guy who'd have to work on it down the road. More than likely that guy would be me so now it just its with rubber roll roofing on top of it.

The pic of the bird poop on the roof gives me a thought to ponder. Does a Chicken Man sleep in his RV or roost on the roof

Rear brakes locking up
I was going to suggest the load valve too after I thought about it. Are you sure it's not there? Maybe the lever/rod linkage has fallen off and the valve is stuck in the loaded position. I know only certain years had them, not sure which ones though.
