  1. Then it's a leak Prior to the gauge but after the plug.
  2. Late to the party.... As for needle valve... I open it up til the start up and shut down bleed time is really quick, and then listen for a buzz of the vp pulse hammering the gauge and tighten as required. As for overpressure, I believe mopar man debunked that unless you have an old stock dodge vp with the plastic in it. The new ones are steel. I think my fass needs a new set of brushes and I would like to up the pressure.
  3. Same old song and dance, my friends...
  4. Hmmm... Guess this needs an article. Ill do one in a month or so. In short, fuel filters arent bad. Dont fill it. After nee filter and separator... Priming  Using proper container to catch fuel loosen fuel filter and bump starter, may need to do several times, do not let pump shut off until system is primed  When the FASS motor changes tone tighten fuel filter
  5. I dont think we will have chickens on our rental... But we will have mountain lions! My wife wants chickens.
  6. Bet you have a small air leak between the copper and gauge.
  7. I take it you dont rent.
  8. Why do you think they call him the idaho wild man?... Oh wait, they dont call him that. Nevermind. Vise grips are more important than duct tape. Especially the mini size.
  9. Yep. Best welder I ever used. Simple yet immensely heavy.
  10. So im told... Haha. I havent seen it yet. But we do have new wing boxes to hang the old T56s on. Usually problems start with "hey Eng, does this look funny to you?"
  11. I hate that wing off warning light.
  12. I had an early model airdog and it ran fine, but I like the additional heft of the fass. I like eric, no doubt, but I hate the way airdog has treated their customers with their craptastic run of bad pumps. I have never had a problem with the mounting location of my fass either in front of the tire... Colder, mabe, but no problems so far. It also is high enough to be clear of the body and well above the frame rails.
  13. Buying a house in CO with cash is gonna be hard.
  14. Thanks Mike. I wasn't sure where it exhausted.
  15. On gassers, I spray carb cleaner on the lines and listen for an rpm change. I wonder if that would work?
  16. I want an old mopar land yacht. Bmw isnt enough pain.
  17. It's like equal opportunity for mosquitoes.
  18. Probably true. Im moving on the 4th, ill help you go pick iy up this weekend! Haha
  19. Since no pictures, ms paint! Close enough.
  20. Neat. Looks like fun. Too much learning for me tho.
  21. Nice truck. Pricey, but nice.
  22. Another thing that kills diodes. Jump starting arcs are hard on stuff. Jump starting with a running engine is bad. As far as filters work, the capacitance required to dampen out the pulses at the relatively low voltage would be near impossible. No zener diodes, no magic fix aside just quality parts.
  23. Very true. I wish you guys could drive my truck at 300 ft of elevation. I generally run smarty at 3 with the revo settings tweaked and tq mgmt on 1 or 2. It is like driving a v10 around town and tows great. The tst is mainly for fun or times I need a lil bit more fuel at cruise. I am sure though, at levels 5 and 9 will hurt any trans if driven without a lot of care, manual or auto. And with a smarty or much any tuner, a upgraded clutch r converter + valve body + billet input is warranted.
  24. I like it, but it takes a lot of fiddling with the torque management and revo to get it dialed in. Torque management should start out on the softest setting, try a couple levels, adjust tuning and duration to get a good tune, and then change torque management if necessary. My trans gets really unhappy at high tq management numbers.
