Here you go I'm pushing 70 and have been semi-retired for the last 5 or so years. My wife likes to say it's been the last 25 years. I still like to go out and fix things though. I'm like @wil440and do 2 to 6 jobs a week and work 2 to 6 hours a day; start at 10AM and try to be home by 3PM. Today I replaced a starter motor, tomorrow it will be front struts, next week rear shocks and another car's exhaust manifold gaskets and so it goes. I'll stop when it's not fun anymore.- Quad Cab door won't open

I went to a pick your part yard and took the door handle and cables from both sides of a Ram 1500 truck along with the clips for the door panels. First check that the vacuum pump is working by placing a vacuum gauge on its suction side. You can use a hand vacuum pump to see if the system holds vacuum. Do a jiggle test. Engine off, ohm meter on the suspect wire, grab the loam and jiggle it. See if the meter shows open circuit.- Intermittent Surging and ECT
The graph shows the temp going to -40°F; that's an indication that there is either an open circuit or bad sensor. Test the wires from the coolant sensor to the ECM and the coolant sensor by itself. Be sure to test/check where all the ground are spliced together (see diagram below).- I need to vent before my head explodes

I've had my cable/internet/phone bill go as high as $225/mo. and had it reduced to $165/mo. with free HBO and included all taxes and fees for 2 years. You can call your provider and speak to a customer representative. You tell them "I'm going to cancel my account in one month because I have found a better deal with another provider"; be sure to research those deals first. The one month is to give a time buffer incase you have to rescind the cancelation. The representative will either ❶ take your cancelation order, say "have a good day" and hang up where later you will surly receive a phone call by someone in their retention department or ❷ Tell you to hold the line while they transfer you to someone else; a retention department specialist. The retention specialist will say something like " I can get you a discounted rate". There will be a short pause while they 'look up' the discount. Thet will then say "Oh, I can give you an introductory rate of XXX dollars for X year(s); how does that sound". If it's lower than the other providers' deal take it other wise ask them to go lower to match the other provider; they most likely will get close or match it. Keep in mind that they do have a history of every time you called and your rate history. Some providers due two attempts while others will give three attempts to lower your rate before they give up and say " Ok your cancelation will go through". Good luck. ,I feel that way also. If people would open their eyes to what's going on around them, ask questions and with simple abductive reasoning so how most governments over tax and don't perform. Example: California has the highest gas taxes ($1.18/gal,) and the second highest cost per driver for road repair yet California has the 7th worst roads, a ranking of 43ed out of 50, in the nation. I rode a 70 Honda cb350, a 1971 Kawasaki 350 Enduro, and my last bike was a 1974 Triumph Bonneville. In 1976 I almost got hit three times in two weeks. My wife "suggested" that I sell the bike. I haven't ridden since.- Need a sanity check.. changing careers
I've been a mechanic for over 50 years and owned my repair shop for 28 years and when a customer declines repair work there is a reason. They might not have the funds for the repair, or they found someone to do it "cheaper", or they are getting rid of the car and don't want to put anymore into it. Either way I don't care, not my car not my problem, and my car runs fine. Do something you enjoy and make a living from it. If it's a government job, local state fed, all the better because of the benefit package. A friend of mine just left the Volvo dealership for a mechanic job, with a great benefit package, in the city of Carlsbad, CA. They hired him because of his training and experience in electric vehicles.- Grid heater staying on
Power flow: battery positive to solenoid to grid heater relays to grid heater. The switch you installed controls the solenoid for battery power to flow to the grid heater relays. The grid heater relays have to be energized by the ECM for power to flow to the grid heaters. If power is flowing all the time to the grid heaters with the switch on and the engine off, then a grid heater relay is stuck on. Or did the grid heaters get connected to the solenoid by passing the grid heater relays?- Question

P0230 is the ECM not seeing the lift pump power draw at terminals 15 and 35, not a problem. P0254, P0370, and P1690 are all codes for a VP44 injection pump failing.- Air Vent?
