  1. The BK/OR (black/orange) wire from the ignition switch. The one marked RUN A22. Are you going to use a Painless fuse block? If you do get one with the relays. You will be able to take the main power for the aux fuse box from the battery or the terminal next to the 140 amp fuse in the PDC and rout it to terminal 30 of the relays. Power from the BK/OR wire at the ignition switch then be used 86 of the to energize the relay at terminal 86, You could use this to "clean up" the wiring installation for all the add on accessories.
  2. Here you go for Painless. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/prf-70217?seid=srese1&gclid=CjwKCAiA55mPBhBOEiwANmzoQulalyPasXB0n3pIV_KLW-zO1BcVLO67kLVxto_iQkRxcs2vHhJ5dRoCEdsQAvD_BwE
  3. Next time I take my truck out to sea I'll put one on.
  4. YES. Soft copper water lines used in my house with 50 PSI. I think it will handle the 16 PSI in the truck cooling system.
  5. Pumps work by suction. The impellers suck the fluid through the pump causing a vacuum just behind them. Atmospheric pressure pushing on the fuel in the tank is what moves the fuel to the vacuum caused by the pump. A fine micron filter, placed between the fluid supply and pump, acts as a restriction. Case in point is when the engine stops running due to fuel starvation because the fuel tank vent tube was blocked with mud. When the fuel cap is removed you hear a whoosh as air rushes in to fill the vacuum in the tank.
  6. Here are two. https://www.carid.com/fine-lines/stainless-steel-braided-front-brake-hose-kit-mpn-hsk0050ss.html?singleid=2048146897&url=2954129 https://puredieselpower.com/dodge-products/brake-upgrades-2/dodge-2500-3500-egr-kevlar-braided-ss-brake-hoses.html
  7. Why most business do anything, profit. A few dollars in extra cost saved per unit adds up to thousands over the run of that model. If it makes it out of the warranty period before failures start to happen then all the better.
  8. I like the Raybestos or Centric brand products. Did they offer fries with that brake check?
  9. She kept slip-sliding away. Just couldn't hang on to her.
  10. Metal screening would be a little hard to glue to the cowl. To affix that type of screening I would use sheet metal screws with flat washers and a sealant on the screw holes to stop any future rust.
  11. I used nylon window screen mesh that I had lying around. The adhesive, I think I used, was clear silicone sealant.
  12. Have someone else do it. When I set out to cover the openings, I made templets out of thin carboard from cereal boxes. I still have the templets and can do your truck at the next camp get together.
  13. I glued screening to the fresh air vent openings. Sure did but JAG1 then helped me replace the roof on my 5th wheel. So, we helped each other out to get some major projects done.
  14. Nice winter day today, sunny with a high temp of 81°F. Tomorrow will be in the high 70s. Still no snow.
  15. You're correct. I just went and looked at my heat exchanger and it's the same as your son's. The part #12 (5011918AA) in your diagram is the same part number as #2 in the forum parts look up diagram. They look totally different from each other, so something is amiss there. It is available but for $546. https://www.ebay.com/itm/402108396391 Part #11 (5014171AA) in your diagram is the same as part #4 in the forum parts look up diagram. It's still available starting at $294. https://www.moparpartsgiant.com/parts/mopar-tube-oil-cooler~5014171aa.html At those prices I'd find someone to bend me some new ones or in a pinch, get some soft copper tubing and make my own.
  16. No, that diagram is from the 2001-2002 24 valve PDF in the website's 24 valve article section. The part that Mike refers to above is #4 (905011918AA) in the diagram.
  17. That parts diagram does not match the parts diagram in the parts look up section for a 2001 on page 126. Where did you get that diagram? https://mopar1973man.com/external-media/pdf/2002Ramparts.pdf#view=FitB&page=107
  18. A few years back I helped a member with a wire diagram bypassing the vent control of the AC and install a manual on/off switch for the compressor. I can dig it up if anyone is interested.
  19. Snowpack is 141% above normal but CA is still in a drought, and they keep building houses.
  20. There's sunshine in west Oregon?
  21. Years ago, the rule of thumb was one weeks wages or 25% of a family income went to pay for housing. Now it takes 33% of income to do the same thing.
  22. I would and have added one. https://mopar1973man.com/cummins/articles.html/24-valve-2nd-generation_50/53_axles-suspension-brakes/adding-inline-power-steering-filter-with-system-flush-r486/
  23. Just went to the cheapest station here and put 4.85 gallons in a 5-gallon container @4.499/gal. There went $22.00. I looked at 12 gas stations in my area. San Marcos/Escondido, CA, and found the average price @ @4.729/gal with the low of $4.499 and high of 4.999.
  24. And what medical school did he graduate from? I'm glad to hear that despite the governments mishandling of the situation, in that state, you and yours made it through that ordeal. October 31 my son, who lives with use, came down with the CCP virus. Neither my wife, granddaughter, nor I got it and none of us has had the jab. Now at my daughter's house, she, her husband, and two boys got it. None of them were vaccinated and none went to the hospital.
