  1. This video might help and save you some money too.
  2. I had extra cable and lugs from an amp installation, so I joined the two negative posts together. It took less than 15 minutes. No harm, no foul and maybe a benefit later on.
  3. Yes, some are bad out of the box. https://mopar1973man.com/cummins/articles.html/24-valve-2nd-generation_50/51_engine/electrical/denso-alternator-diodes-and-brush-pack-replacement-r537/?tab=comments#comment-39
  4. P0230 is the ECM not seeing the lift pump power draw at terminals 15 and 35, not a problem. P0254, P0370, and P1690 are all codes for a VP44 injection pump failing.
  5. Did you mean 64 KB and not MB. I edit mine down, on a laptop, to around 150 KB before posting.
  6. This should help you. https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=2000+dodge+ram+overhead+console+removal The release tabs on mine broke so I used two small Sheetmetal screws to secure it. The switch and plugs for the video screen of the rear view out of my 5th wheel is located in the overhead.
  7. Yes, the wiper parking switch is in the motor. With the hood up and under the black plastic cowl.
  8. Put a jump in that course and now it's in the X-Games. Olympics...NOT ONE MIUTE!
  9. It would go down into the oil pan. It might get sucked up to the oil screen on the oil pump pickup.
  10. Had the same thing happen to me when replacing Turbos on Volvos. Sometimes the hole would be round and other times rectangle. So long as the bolt holes line up, and the center hole is large enough for good oil flow use what you bought.
  11. NOT ONE MINUTE
  12. It's 65°F right now (9 AM) sunny and still no snow.
  13. Idaho street sign
  14. Here are a few videos about HX35 rebuild. https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=hx35+rebuild
  15. With all that "coke" deposit at the waste gate opening, don't know how good of a seal it had.
  16. When the factory lift pump died, I took it apart to see what was in it. Pump head with filter screen
  17. What do you have to lose? Clean the area with brake clean and a toothbrush before applying. I have used JB weld on an intake manifold that was leaking coolant. It fixed the problem.
  18. Clear, 72°F, with 4.1magnitude earthquake 20 miles from the house.
  19. Just having my breakfast in shorts and short sleeve shirt with the patio door open, sunny and 71°F. Still no snow.
  20. Yes. The power flows from fuse #4 to the flasher timer/relay, to the hazard portion of the CS (combined switch). The power then flows around the left/right turn part in the CS to power the 4 turn signal blub wires. When using the left/right switch if no power is flowing to those wires, then the CS is bad.
  21. FNG

WELCOME We were all FNGs once
  22. I've run 4 and 6cyl pushrod engines with the valve cover off and used shop towels over them to keep the oil from spraying everywhere. You can use old rages to do the same thing, lifting one at a time for inspection. Another thing you might want to do is remove the fanbelt, so you're not worried about getting caught in it or the fan and there is no wind being generated to disrupt the rags that are laid down. A short engine run with it off will not hurt anything.
