advice on rv or 5th wheel
In August of 1972 I hitch hiked there from Monterey, california. Back then main street wasn't packed. One of the evenings while there had an unusual Northern Lites display that locals had never seen before. sheets of light were going from mtn top to mtn top in seconds. It was the coolest thing I ever saw.

I’m a Newbie and need help
One truck of mine had a L/P in the tank. The other had the carter on the block. Both trucks now have half inch all the way with a primary water seperating filter to help the lift pump not emulsify the water droplets (mixing) and filter out sediment. Then secondary factory filter does the final fuel filtering. Good fuel pressure also means that you are always cycling the fuel thru the filters, called fuel polishing when you have ample fuel on the return side. This is why I like the returns dumping into the filler neck so the drawstraw always picks up cooler fuel that needs more treatment or filtering.

Remember there is no sales tax in Oregon. Don't know if that will help

Poor fuel mileage, dead pedal, CEL on and off
I have cleaned off a little bit of the paint for the grounds and put back with a coating of dialectric grease on the bare metal. Will the dialectric grease stop the rust?

Yes Dripley both trucks ECM's control the relay and then controls the power coming from the batteries. The ECM shuts off the power when in a wreck. I think that's what you are refering to.

advice on rv or 5th wheel
I have a truck camper which is easier to park in places. Problems are the high steps up to the door and the small inside space. I do like the feel of my little 'survival pod' when traveling. I would love to have a medium sized 5th wheel like IBMobiles for camping and staying places.

That sump is not all together bad, now that you have already installed it. You can adapt a protection skid plate under it. I've made my own or had them bent and cut by my local fabricator. Very inexpensive to do yourself. I have two second gen trucks and my fuel filters under the cab are too tall and needed to protect the water drains on them. Yeah.... I know Dripley, my truck takes a pee once in awhile. But what I'm trying to say is later on down the road you can do a nice set up with a draw straw like Mopars that goes to the bottom of the sump BTW, both trucks have the lift pump power coming directly off the batteries because them electric lift pumps put out a tremendous amount of AC ripple or noise. The motors on these are very dirty electically. W-T even said so Also you really need both filters to protect the very close tolerances inside the VP44. It is very sensitive to any dirt/ contamination.

Mouse in my heater/AC fan?
I noticed the total lack of feathers....I thought Dripley went to help fight the fire at first.

Weird Water Pump Lubrication?
Thats cool, I love running excavators more than any, but a cat does a hell of a lot of work in a hurry.

Rattlesnake Fire, Idaho - 2018
I not convinced on the first two videos. The third however is possible since throughout history there has always been evil people. Like those, for example, that have taken the truth out of education on our young ones. In the end it teaches lawlessness by helping to build a weak conscience and a lack of self discipline. The drought conditions out west is as the same drought being taught in the hearts and minds our schools. This is how I believe..... that conditions will only get worse until we learn about the real love and real education that only comes from loving God. It not that he causes destruction........ it that we are tearing down the wall of security when we deny Him Sorry to derail this thread Mike. I thank Alex for bringing this about. What is the latest conditions on the Rattlesnake fire?

Alex, I do want to know.... perhaps PM a link or website I can look at? Thank you. Also is it true Mopar1973Man, that a lot of the trees still live after the fire? Just most of the grasses and lower story gets burned? T.I.A.

Lost ECM output to lift pump
It takes years of knowledgable folks posting on a good site like this to compile what to do for reliability and longevity. I thank even the newbie folks as well for contributing.

Lost ECM output to lift pump
And the kelly blue book prices have had to be raised twice now on these trucks, from what I understand. A lot of it is because guys are finding a whole lot less problems with these trucks if set up properly.

Glad your both ok for now. Hoping the wind still blowing fire away from your home. Been reading the news.... fires up an average 46% from ten years ago average.

I didn't know old Buzzards had hips

Poor fuel mileage, dead pedal, CEL on and off
I may be off track with finding a solution to your trouble, but I am very interested in knowing what your A/C ripple levels are.... if you could test and report back I would appreciate it very much

That is good news as far as the wind direction. Don't know what RH means boss.

Rattlesnake Fire, Idaho - 2018
So prevailing winds are blowing up toward the ridge not toward your home? An easterly wind is good right? Coming from the east I mean.

Are you guys gaining any ground on the fire? Also maybe get MoparMom out of the valley for some clean air.

W-T ground article simplified!
Yes I heard about a guy that found his to have a bad connection, kind of loose and was causing transmission hunting. When he soldered the two wires together it went away. But, now we know a lot more about A C ripple/ noise thanks to Mopar1973Man who got us on the right track.

I've heard of a problem with the gray connector so got rid of them. Something about not tight enough connection and getting some resistance there. Also running the charge wire to the passenger battery not only shortens length/ resistance in the charge line, but gives a better chance for both batteries to filter out the A/C noise or ripple before damaging anything else in the system. That is the way I understand it anyway.
