  1. I like this photo a bunch but for the life of me cannot remember who they are.
  2. I hear you about not wanting any adverse effects. My sport lights are bright enough and I really care more about the oncoming drivers being able to see the occasional dark dressed pedestrian. All the lights are so bright already as a whole these days and I don't want to have all the trees and plants scorched along my driveway.
  3. Happy Thanksgiving to all you guys and your families. But most especially to MoparMom who is such a key ingredient to this Forum. After all she raised a great son who has helped so many of us to keep our trucks going long and strong. I send her my love and hope more of you all get the opportunity to meet her Thanks to all you guys for all the helpful fun posts..
  4. Isn't that Mikes new AC system and when he gets to drinkin inside the house in summer?
  5. Cool, I'm glad winter is starting up. We have not seen snow for several years in the PNW valley floor. in 2008 we had 18 inches at our 500 foot level. What is interesting is when we drive out to the road there is a lot less snow where everyone cut most of the trees, but, in the middle of our forest the snow is sometimes twice as deep. Go figure
  6. Nice pic with the waterfall and everyone go down. You think safety wearing the helmets on the slippery rocks . In the old days we were nuts sliding down a dam spillway. Seemed like it was at least a quarter mile long. We would get zingen' down that mossy concrete slope so fast... would scare the P out of you. You'd hit the stream down at the bottom and go skimming on top of the water like you just jumped out of a 100 mile an hour speed boat.
  7. Thanks to you all for the information. I only use the fan after the engine is running going down the highway, so my questions are only educational, and interest. After a good cup of coffee in the morning I'm pretty sure my starter motor always spins the right way anyhow
  8. How can we make sure it never happens? Sounds very damaging at any rate.
  9. Wow that's strange stuff! I was just joking but apparently not. I had no idea. So does the return fuel become the supply then? And all the dirt in the oil filter get sucked into the engine too?
  10. So does the exhaust pipe become the intake and the air intake the exhaust?
  11. Need to spray the entire Hillary gang with that stuff.
  12. I hope its alright Dripley. When I had the 0216 code running around for 4 years like that the CEL never came on. Go figure How can a Cummins be started backwards? Only by rolling backwards with a standard trans, right?
  13. Mine is a bilge blower ducted from the front bumper up to the PSG board. I turn it on running up hills on hot days hauling the heavy camper. I also maintain at least 14 psi fuel pressure. All it does is make me feel better I suppose. Even when the blower is off the duct still scoops cooler air from the front up to the VP. I don't know if my being able to run 1600 mile road trips twice a year and around town for 4 years on a 0216 error code had anything to do with it. All I know is it ran smooth with the code on there. Glad I still have my old VP core as they have gone up in price.
  14. Thank you Fuze. You and MoparMan are only 21/2 hrs apart. I like your rolling hills with scattered forests, looks cool! Truck there is even cooler.
  15. Wow! very nice. I knew you lucky with trucks, Now lucky with a cool place
  16. Yes you are Michael. I saw a chance to give hard time is all Boss.
  17. Thank you straighten out my bad about check before you buy. I do not understand how they work other than a logical disengaged when cold thinking. All I know is my first gen, approaching 450 k miles, I can still spin the fan when truck sits cold.
  18. Typical CTD nut... put the heat in before the insulation
  19. Nice place Fuze, beautiful surroundings. Only we need a pic of that first gen in there too.
  20. Try it before you buy it at the sales counter. Should be disengaged until hot. Is that right IBM?
  21. I like rocker type switches. I added two in the panel Dripley was talking about under the column. One is for the VP Cooler blower fan and the other is to charge the camper batteries after the grid heater draw is charged back up in the truck batteries.
  22. It works real good for killing aggressive spiders that hide in cracks. Had some attack my hand when got near so a shot of WD in there took care of them. Be careful with WD, a back spray or bounce back stream can damage your eyes.
