  1. I wouldn't do it if I was in your shoes. Idaho is a good place to live isn't it? With a lot of rural mountains and trees. Back East is colder than Idaho in the winter. I think lots colder.
  2. I have nothing against Obama personally but everything he did as president was nothing but a molestation of traditional American values. I hope Trump goes to work and cancels almost every executive order from Obama. I'm hoping he will stop the lawless politicians and lawlessness spreading throughout the country among some bad citizens. I know my truck seems to run a wee bit better.... Thank God.
  3. So does the substance on earth absorb the cold from space having a cooling effect?
  4. Nick, I got that information from a gal that moved from the area around Santa Cruz. I think she was exaggerating to tell you the truth. But there are vast amounts of dying trees in the mountains around Mt. Shasta along I-5. Nice post BTW. I wonder about temperatures out in space, beyond our atmosphere that should act like ice in the our tea also.
  5. Has anyone seen the Nasa video of the Ice sheet melting since 1984 in Antartica? It's really dwindling down. Some years showing significant sudden change. Folks I talked to moving out of California say even the cool fogs don't roll in from the coast causing forests to start dying. They say you can see dead trees all along the Santa Cruz Highway. I saw significant numbers of dead dying trees along I-5 around Mt. Shasta and that area always has been greener than any place on earth. Anyhow when you see the Nasa Video you'll know it's not just drought. Maybe someone could put up a link... it's on CNN. Pray we get a cold winter/ Loads of snow in the mountains.
  6. Wow, that's still pretty knew to have that happen. How many miles on it?
  7. Your own work will be better especially if you think outside the norm and build better than factory. Example; My 1st gen fuel modulator broke in two. after a lot of head scratching, thought I had fleas.... I made my own module out of 4 inch ABS straight coupling and stainless steel screws. I got it the right length with the tank empty sitting on shop floor so when full it was good. Id do it again too. I'll never hear the end of it now..... stay away from JAG..... he's got fleas I'll never hear the end of it now..... stay away from JAG..... he's got fleas
  8. Before you know Michael will be installing injection pumps with it. IBM, we need another log on the fire.
  9. man.... if I remember,r that price is almost triple what it was not long ago.
  10. IBM will be using one of those to go fishing, casting clear across the lake and trolling.
  11. Always ready for a new fuel sending unit. Don't do it though... it's a lot of head scratching work to get it reinforced.
  12. that tire is off my trailer from Dripleys exhaust when he passing.
  13. That's the coolest Michael. Can't wait for some pics maybe one of these days. Wild and Free they come with an anti shot gun missile now.
  14. Got the furnace fixed. Just call me a technician . I changed the burner which was caked with rust and carbon. Found burnt bugs inside the burner. I tell you, you almost need a tooth puller in your back pocket to get the right information out of people for help.
  15. I wonder what it would look like after all those miles, if you had stainless steel stick on rocker panels. I don't know for certain, I heard they trap moisture and can cause more problems but, then you hear a lot on the internet than actual experience, so I don't know.
  16. One thing I wanted to mention that is on the list of reliability is do not, whatever you do, put in the Dodge APPS.which is expensive and built so bad it's a piece of junk. Put in the Timbo APPS, a lot less money and very smooth excellent reliability. Listen to these guys around her, read the articles and you will have a better truck than spending 60-70 K on a new one.
  17. I know Wild and Free it's older than rocks but in case of emergencies and needed local information, It's a good idea. This all started with some buds of mine heading off together in a small group of RV's for some camping, fishing, hunting .
  18. Just talked to a guy about 11 miles away so not too bad since I'm over a hill next to my shop and my rv, which is taller than antenna. Thanks for the help everyone.
  19. Wow nice! Those old guys know how to keep busy with things that count for something.
  20. Thanks Sooxies. Just ran the wire and noticed the Isolation washers for the antenna mount. Will watch that one too.
  21. Just about to mount antenna to the fender w stainless bracket for Dodge. So when running coax stay away from other wires AMAP right? Should I run a seprate ground to battery? Thanks members
  22. How do you go about tuning the antenna? Is it angle or location?
  23. Mines doing the same whistle on low tanks. Real bad when I slosh fuel to one end of the tank or the other. Even happens sometimes at half a tank if I slam the go pedal off the stop sign creating a negative vacuum in the tank draw straw and make l/p work harder. I'm going with a fuel tank sump and brush guard and let gravity help flow.
