  1. Wasn't really pointing you out @Mopar1973Man, the ones around here are obviously yuppies, their houses more of a country decor display than it is anything else.
  2. I bought some from Amazon that were plug and play. The studs were a bit short, had to compress the foam gasket to get the nut started but once tight they were fine. Been on there for 2 years now. Mine are also heated/power.
  3. I agree with you @JAG1, I live in a fairly rural area. Mostly farm land out here. I'm the past 10-20 years some of the farmers have come on hard times and sold off frontage and now the city dwellers are building out here. It drives me nuts when I see construction start on another one. We sit on about 6 acres and will never sell an inch of it.. my uncle still owns what's left of the farm,, about 65 acres, 50 of it us tillable the rest is woods. I hope maybe he will will that to me to be sure that it never gets sold off. It cracks me up when people buy 1-2 acres out here and put a house on it and say "I live in the sticks" bunch of idiots.
  4. Seems like if someone wanted to tinker with it on a small scale a lawn mower engine would be a good test subject.
  5. Very cool! I don't know how it all works but it's interesting to see someone could make one at home.
  6. @Dieselfuture, how did a small hydrogen generator help fuel milage? Did you switch from gas to H2 completely for several miles or add the H2 to the gasoline?? Just curious.
  7. Yeah I bet it was. In all honesty I like the nv4500 5 speed. The sycros are no good going into 3rd so I just either double clutch 3rd or float into it. Either way it works out. I tow through a 10 speed at work enough. I don't think I'd want to drive a 10 to get home to. Lol I like getting out of my slow, underpowered truck at work and getting in my dodge. It really feels fast then. Lol
  8. That would be cool. Sound like a lot of fab work. I don't trust my own welding enough. Lol
  9. It would be awesome though to have an Eaton fuller 10 speed. Don't know if it could be done with a 4x4 though.
  10. I actually just watched the Matrix 2 days ago for that reason. I've seen it many times before. Crazy how there are so many similarities in the movie. I'm lucky, most people in my little circle are against it and alit of people I work with as well. So mm e don't want the shot simply because they don't trust it and other like me see the big picture. I don't watch mainstream media at all anymore. I like Newsmax on TV and I look at infowars.com online. I'm not affiliated with either just stating my sources of information. Very scary times, good time to get right with God or whatever your belief system may be (I still believe in freedom of religeon) and also try to be as healthy as you can. I need to work on the second one more myself. Lol
  11. There's speed limits in Chicago? I drive through there for work, my truck is governed at 63/pedal 65/cruise and nearly get ran over. Traffic is horrible and 294 is a mess.
  12. Oops! I've done a couple of Dumbazz things like that as well. Good luck, hope ya find one.
  13. So Mike @Mopar1973Man, is the grar and shaft in the above pic now a paper weight on your desk?
  14. It's all part of their plan to collapse the economy. They are also fueling the racism issue through media to keep everyone at odds with each other rather than uniting. Then toss in the controversy of the LGBTQXYZ just to get everyone even more distracted from what is really going on. I could rant about this for awhile but I'll leave it lay here for now. I tend to offend people sometimes.
  15. Ok, just for Christmas day, then I'm done with it. Lol
  16. Keep that up there with you! I'm not ready! Lol
  17. Reading some of this makes me glad I have a 2nd gen. Maybe not as powerful on paper but I have pulled our newly acquired 5th wheel (11k lbs.) With no trouble. I could tell it's there and the truck worked a little but handled it well. Besides admit it, .........she is sexy
  18. There could be but I don't know what it would be, other than maybe emissions related stuff?
  19. No pics? I drive them nearly everyday. I haul them to the dealers. I admit they are nice but then I look at the sticker price. Crazy what they ask for a new truck now days compared to 20 years ago. I'm sure the warranty is a big plus but I like the look of the 2nd gen trucks, lack of emissions is a plus as well. They have come a long way in power, I will give you that. The torque of the new ones is incredible. I hauled a new 3500 crew cab SRW yesterday. Very nice. Enjoy your new ride!
  20. Off topic (sorry): @Mopar1973Man, what ever happened to the guy that rebuilt your manual? Thought he was going to join us here and offer some of his knowledge? Or did I miss something? Just curious. Wasn't trying to hijack.
  21. Mine chirps on shutdown. I guess now I know why.
  22. I short shift as well. Usually around 2000 rpm when just daily driving with the truck empty. I have seen guys in the past remove one of the rear wheels on each side for better winter traction but it looks ridiculous.
  23. Do the smaller tires break loose a lot easier in winter when you don't want the to? Just curious, with the less mass and the torque of these trucks it seems like you could spin out pretty easy. Mine is a dually and I notice by having the rear weight spread over 4 tires rather than 2 creates a traction issue sometimes in slick conditions.
  24. I filled up yesterday in a genoa ohio for $3.39/gal. I haul dodge cars/trucks along with jeep wranglers and gladiators. I haven't seen any 2022's yet but I'll keep an eye out. Dodge/chrysler/jeep has shifted the freight around which changed alot of things on our side for hauling purposes so I may not be seeing the trucks come into toledo much longer. May even be looking at layoffs again. Ugh.
