I know Gloshift aren't the best gauges out there, Probably not the most accurate and a budget alternative to better brands such as autometer or isspro. I need to get some gauges on soon, especially fuel pressure. I recently had a lift pump fail and don't want to be surprised like that again. I'll add a FP gauge first and boost and EGT soon to follow. Anyone here run the Gloshift gauges? How good/bad are they? I'm sure they'll do for a while until budget allows upgrades. I don't have any big mods, mainly stock truck with plans on bigger injectors and boost elbow this spring or summer to have a bit more pulling power to tow our 36' 5th wheel.

  2. Is there anyone in Tucson that could maybe stop by, I need some assistance. I really need my truck working. I have a 2002 Ram 3500. Didn't seem like it was getting power to the ecm. Did all the grounding mods and that fixed the problem. Went to start the other day WTS light came on and then shut off a couple of times then went off for good. Now it's the same problem.

  4. Hi, Spotted these 2 connectors, 1 grey, and 1 black coming out of harness near left front side of engine. Black has what appears to be 2 contacts, and grey has 3 contacts. Picture is taken from ground, left side looking up. Thanks. Leaky

  6. Started by KATOOM,

I've come to the conclusion after combing through the internet looking for answers as to why my PS pump pukes fluid while the engine is off, that there must be something wrong with the accumulator and/or the check valve. Its amazing how many people post problems with these systems but dont bother to let anyone know if they problem was ever solved... So that said, I have two options. I can buy a rebuild kit for $50, a reman unit for $200 (kinda wondering how reliable it would be), or a brand new unit for $300. Being that I have the tools to rebuild something, it certainly doesnt mean I care to and that it doesnt mean it'll work as it should after the rebuil…

  7. I just checked out the XDP fuel tank sump and like the idea of it. I can install it without pulling the fuel tank. Are any of you guys running one? They are a bit pricy, but worth it I think. If I install one I'll go with a half inch stainless line to the front and mount my Air Dog FRRP back near the tank. That should solve any fuel issues.

  9. Hi everyone, new to the forum, but I have been on the diesel garage for over 10 years. Is anyone looking to sell their stage 1 or 2 Garrett powermax turbo kit? If someone is looking to sell because they want to upgrade, or the turbo needs repair, or if you know someone selling one, I'm interested in making a purchase. Thank you very much everyone. I look forward to reading your responses.

I'll be working alone with full tank on this new to me truck I just bought. It has an in tank pump that I need change to frame mounted Raptor 150, also changing to 1/2'' draw and fuel lines. I want to tilt the bed to get at everything. Is it best to raise the driver side or raise the front like a dump bed? If I raise the front it looks like it might hit the cab before it goes high enough so should I tilt bed sideways instead? Thanks in advance.

I have the Raptor-100 lift pump and running it to the stock fuel filter on my truck using a big line kit from Vulcan.Had to change out the Raptor a month ago and when doing so found some debris in the big screen in the pump. Not much but I work with airplanes and do not want to see ANYTHING but fuel there. Friend of mine with a F-350 Ford is recommending a "Goldenrod" style filter to me, says that the Ford community uses them on their diesels with the "water-block" filters and has very good success.Anyone else doing this? I would put the filter between the tank and before the Raptor to protect the lift pump and still keep the stock filter in place. Thanks,FT

  13. I just got done changing the oil in my truck. This is the first time I changed the oil myself. I used Goofy-Lube the last 2 times (I know, I know, WHY would you do that...). When I went to take the drain plug out I noticed 2 issues, one, the square spot where you put you're 3/8th inch socket wrench was partially stripped (Goofy-Lube) and two, the plug was so tight I had to get a cheater bar to break it loose (I won't be going to Goofy-Lube anymore). My question is if anyone uses any of the drain valves in place of the drain plug. I saw some for sale on Geno's Garage like this one and this one. Just not sure how safe it is having something li…

I need to switch my gear oil from 75w-140 to 75w-90 and Peak has some cheap synthetic gear oil. Made in USA, cheaper than Valvoline and Mobile1. The reason for the switch is my rear end chatters on turns when cold and once warmed up, it's just fine. I'm thinking a thinner gear oil could help this situation. Limited slip rear, yes I used Mopar friction modifier.

I was curious on the opinions here on the use of seafoam to flush the oil system before an oil change. I have used the product before on gas engines with decent results. With a diesel engine being a more "dirty" engine and reading about possible valve and lifter bores becoming varnished with burnt oil on top of not knowing the exact history of my engine I was considering dumping a can in the motor oil and letting it do its thing to clean the oil system. Any thoughts? Thanks.

  16. Just did a 250 mile drive after making some mods on my truck. Now with the Raptor and drawstraw on the truck I can go as fast as i want to without worrying about fuel pressure. Now the problem is that once I go much over peak torque the fuel mileage goes down... way down. First 100 miles stayed at 60-65 mph and was getting a good 27+ mpg. Anything over that speed and its down to 25 mpg, and once I hit the hills best I could do was 23 mpg. Friend of mine has a Gear Vendors OD unit on his Ford Powerstroke and loves it. Course he got it for a good price and not list of $3000+ as well. Was thinking about trying to find one for the Dodge and sure would like to be able to run 7…

Anyone using these Bluetooth devices on our trucks? http://www.amazon.com/BAFX-Products-Bluetooth-diagnostics-Android/dp/B005NLQAHS http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=WOQLh1iGN60 Seems like a good deal for ten bucks plus a 5 Dollar app. I was looking at a scan gauge, but this looks pretty interesting. Any thoughts?
