2002 24v recently had NO BUS problem but got it fixed. Still doesn’t start, fuel pressure gauge says 10-15 psi. There’s fuel at the injector lines on the head but not much. Won’t even start on ether, p0122 p0123 p1693 are my codes. VP44 less than a year old, air dog 150 gph and Edge juice bigger injectors are the only mods. I’m lost here and really need some help.

I have a 99 cummins and it started to cut out at high rpms I though maybe it was the lp wo I did a volt test and it was putting out 13.1 volts checked the fp ar idle its sitting at 15psi changed fuel filter then added lucas additive. Yesturday my radio quit working but still has lights on it no dome light and no power to the diagnostics port if checked all the fuses they are all good. I have been told it could be a bad diode in the alt putting out ac noise and iv also been told bad ecm. I do have an issue with with my positive cables on batteries always getting super corroded not long after I clean them. I need some help here before I go dump a pile of money in this thing…

Alright, guys so it is a long story but I just finished rebuilding the engine on my truck and got it in and am trying to get it started. It is a 01 with a 6spd. I have an airdog 150 installed as well and many other engine parts. I have been cranking and cracking injector lines and fuel will come out but it won't start. I did, however, hotwire the pump and got it to start and idle just fine as it should so I know my pump is good.. So, that narrows it down to something in the harness or CAN bus wiring. Dont know if maybe I have a bad ECM? I tested the pins on the ecm and all of my power and ground curcuits are good. Looking for some advice and further diagn…

Hello, I am new to this forum. I have 2 Cummins, a Hemi Magnum, a CR-V, and a Town & Country, AND a 1967 Barracuda Convertible. It is a work in progress right now, but hope to have it running soon. I also have a 1991 Harley Springer with a sidecar and a Can-Am Spyder. I am a 34 year veteran of the military that came out missing my right leg at the hip. I still work on my MOPARS, but not as fast as before. I have a 2002 3/4 ton Dodge Cummins, 218,000 miles, that has decided it doesn't want to run until I have gone about a mile. I have let it idle for about an hour in neutral to warm up, no luck on the problem. I have installed a FAS pump and fi…

After coming up with different ideas on how to put this 02 motor in my new-to-me 99, I somehow stumbled into an extremely good deal on a 99 motor with 293k. Guy that still owns it (as of 7/11 I have not picked it up yet) took the head off to check the cylinders to make it his race truck, but decided to do something else. Moral of the story is it needs a new gasket and I am wondering how many times you can reuse the bolts, can I save some money and reuse them? Or is it better to just go buy some ARP or upgraded bolts. Anything helps, thanks!! TL;DR: How many times can I use the stock head bolts because I'm cheap.

Hey guys, my name is Kerry and I have a '99 Dodge Ram 3500 2wd. I'm having a problem with the tach dropping off and the truck loses power. It last for a few minutes then everything starts working again but sometimes the tach will act erratically and the truck will start missing. If anyone can give me an idea of what to check or do to fix this issue I would greatly appreciate it!!!

Drive the truck all day today, came home parked it for a few hours put my new rims/tires on and then went and started it up and got half way down the road when I realized my speedo wasn’t working. This is also causing the truck to shift weird because it doesn’t know how fast it’s going. Anyone have any ideas as to what could go bad just from sitting for a few hours? Picked up a new axle speed sensor and will throw that in tomorrow for a Hail Mary. I’ve already checked the wires and everything looks good. Also throwing a p 1683 code speed circuit short. Could the sensor internally short and just took a crap?

So I've been battling this 01 into a 99 swap on my weekends for the past month or so. (Didn't know I bought the wrong Year) Got her runnin. No tach. Bought the destroked kit which BTW is not made for this swap. Slotted the holes so that the missing 36th tooth is 60deg BTDC. Drilled out the sensor bracket to fit the stock crank sensor. Soldered in some more wire for length and viola. I now have my tach working but I'm blowin white-ish smoke. Unplug the relocated crank sensor and no smoke. I'm thinking that my crank sensor being about 120deg from where it would normally sit in the block is fudgin me up. I'm sure the tone ring is lined up right but I guess the ecm needs to s…

So for my 99 build I decided to buy new head bolts from PureDieselPower that are Cummins OEM head bolts for 98.5-15 and according to the gauge from Cummins they're stretched?????? Here's a picture of the gauge and if you're reading it like I am, here's a picture of the BRAND NEW head bolt I just got out of the Cummins labeled box and according to the gauge its stretched! Am I missing something? Not using the gauge right? I'm getting aggravated because I haven't done anything to the motor in awhile because I've been waiting on these bolts and apparently they're stretched!

Where is the low power? I've been pondering this. Turbo upgrade? Diff gears? ECM mod? You get to a point when all forms and info get so jumbled you forgot what you are looking for. I don't tow much, some, but not much. I want that tire burning diesel action when I feel the need to use it. I can get about 35 lbs of boost with my setup, which is good, egts climb to the 1500s at Wot( rarely at Wot) . Little worried about that. From what I read my Hx35w (54/60/12) is a good turbo, but a 60/60/12 or 62/68/12 would spool faster. But would that rip the tires loose? If so what is the right turbo internal …

So I came across a web link with some great information. I’ll leave a link below. This website tells you all about maintenance intervals and fluid amounts etc. I plan to change my diff gear fluid soon and I plan to use Scaeffers 75w140 gear oil. Iv heard talk about adding a friction modifier? I’m curious if anyone knows about this stuff and how much is needed per axle? http://www.cumminshub.com/5.9-24v-cummins-maintenance-schedule.html

Recently I installed gauges in my truck with the suspicion that it had a low boost issue. After installing the gauge I have a peak of 16psi with my xzt+ module turned on. From the research I gathered it should be a minimum of 22 psi+. Last year I performed a leak test and didn’t discover any boost leaks, but I plan performing another test to make sure. The truck overall just doesn’t have the power it should. It never smokes, and the check engine light has come on in the past for a crank position sensor, but is off now. Just looking for suggestions on the low boost issue and lack of power. I was curious if the waste gate might be open, but figuring it does buil…

I have a 99 3500 4wd that I have put 2 pinion seals in within the last 2 months. It keeps eating the bottom half of the seal off not sure what's going on. The last time I put a seal in it I put a speedy sleeve in as well I'm not sure the issue any help would be great.

So I have a 2002 5.9 dodge 3500 SLT automatic. Not the best turbo but I wan’t to get the most out of it. I have an iQuad v2 tuner with 10levels plus a boost fooler. Never go above level 5 due too stock transmission. Id say I have lightly modified it. Larger exhaust minifold, 5inch turbo back, 275 RV injectors, Airdog ll 4G 165, AFE intake. I have gauges on everything to monitor. The most I can get is 23pds of boost. I have heard some guys tighten something to where the waste gate stays open. Is that do able on my turbo or would anybody even recommended it. It would be cool to see like 30-32pds of boost but I know at the same time it’s not going to be any better …

If there's already a thread could someone link me it? My gearbox on my 99 is leaking pretty badly, like from full it'll leak out in a day, and instead of just resealing the gearbox can I just install a 4th gen steering box? I remember someone I follow on Instagram putting one on his 2nd gen (I don't know the year) but I didn't know if it was possible on a 99 since it isn't the newer front end. Anything helps. Thanks!

So I lucked out on a edge juice cts, but it came with the wrong map plug. My truck is the 01 and it has the plug for the 99. From what I've been able to find on the Internet is that there different voltages. One being 1.0 and the other being .5, I was wondering if I could just use a resistor to drop the voltage or if there's more to it than that. I'm assuming the map sensor output to the computer is millivolts?
