Last week switched to defrost now I can't get the A/C to come out the dash vents, air is all directed to the floor, When on A/C I checked the actuator that's behind the glove box, it has vacuum and draws the vent closed. The actuator toward the firewall also has vacuum and works, the lower actuator that has two vacuum lines has no vacuum. Any one know if the lower actuator should have vacuum and to which line?

  3. All of the driver side switches work e.g. locks, passenger, driver auto down/manual down. however when you select drivers side window up... it goes up about halfway and stops... you have to wait for a good amount of time approx. 15-30 mins it will go up some more then stop and you have to do that process until it all the way up.... any ideas?

  4. Hi Guys... Love the site! Somehow, I have lost the trailer light connector that took it from the 8-pin(?) 2-rows of 4 pins rectangular connector that transitioned the wiring to the round 7-pin (?) connector for my trailer connection. The various part stores don't seem to have it. Where can I get this other than a Dodge dealer who will charge an arm and a leg? r is this an aftermarket connector I need to get at a trailer place? My preference is on-line... (Cheaper???) Thanks in advance!

I have seen the question asked a million times on other forums. It usually comes down to someone claiming to be an awesome mechanic stating that hydroboost brake boosters aren't rebuild-able/resealable or that they are so complicated if you took them apart you would never get them back together. :banghead: Well even though my hydroboost has been doing a great job keeping my undercarriage lubricated the constant top offs with power steering fluid and air in the system got pretty annoying. I decided that I would take a peek inside of it and possibly reseal it. I didn't plan to rebuild the unit as there are a couple specialized tools you either have to purchase or i…

  6. 2002 3500 Dually. 5.9 Cummins. Bone stock. 91K. Works weekends and vacations pulling 37' Montana 5er. First post. Been reading and learning. I really appreciate the position that these trucks were engineered and built to run and be maintained as stock and that anytime "we" start doing deletes, adds and creative wiring other issues are going to arise and are only a bandaid to fixing the real issue. Anyway, I was having the torque converter issue at 55mph so decided to do an alternator rebuild and eliminate any AC leakage. Rebuild went fine, installed the rebuilt unit and the alternator would not work, not quite 11.5v at the connection. Gauge would show low voltage, the…

  7. Hi everyone, I was changing out my radiator yesterday and while taking off the lower radiator hose I accidentally, bull in a china shop sorta thing, bent my ac line. Bent it enough to crack it and it started leaking. It is leaking at the elbow right behind the compressor where it turns up to the hood. Is this the line I need to replace it? FOUR SEASONS Part # 56511 From Rockauto I searched the forums and couldn't come up with anything. I just don't want to order the wrong part. Thanks http://www.rockauto.com/getimage/getimage.php?imagekey=818191&imageurl=http%3A//www.rockauto.com/info/FourSeasons/56511.jpg

I know the topic of window tint has been talked about alot on the internet, but I'm wondering..can you buy an actual window for the 2nd gen (driver and pass door) that comes from factory with a darker tint, like a 40 % or darker? I know alot of places are cracking down on aftermarket tint but if it's a factory job they don't say anything here.

Since I have finished my heater core I have an intermittent gurgle from the heater core area after shutdown. Its got to be air in the cooling system but surely it would be gone now? Is theyre a way to bleed the air out of the cooling system?

Does anyone know if my 01 may have came factory with keyless entry? I have purchased the key fobs, however my local mopar dealer says that my 01 didn’t come factory with keyless and I would have to buy an add on through their parts department.

I have a 98 2500 with the hydro booster it was leaking on the inside of the cab I replaced it with new booster and went through the process of bleeding it and all and still having problems with no brakes or steering need some help

  12. 02 dodge squeals like a sob when I turn the wheel. Mainly to the left it seems. Stock wheels stock height. Only thing I have done steering related is a steering box brace and that was in May. It just has started a couple days ago squealing. I don't think it's something related to the box brace but y'all tell me what y'all think. I just greased all ball joints and no change. Sprayed the steering stabilizer with wd-40 no change.

My 1998 Dodge/Cummins has front disc breaks. The disc/hub appears to be one piece. What year did Dodge modify the hub and rotor so they were seprate, and would the change also fit the 98'. Thank you, Kerley

I've had a front bearing go out on my way home from my summer Campground host job, new hubs ordered. My question, what is the socket size for front hub nut? Searches have shown all kinda sizes mostly for 4wd, of 1 11/16, 43mm etc. I will need to buy a socket, largest I have is 1 1/2 and it's to small.

Having a heck of a time finding the right oring for the pressure line that screws into the bottom of the pump. The one they sent is to small. It slides over the tube and the nut pushes against the tube into the pump. If I make any sense. I came across doorman part number 926-157. I hate to keep throwing the credit card at it and coming up with all sorts of orings. I would buy a set of orings but my luck it would have everything in it but the right one. Any help would be great.

1998.5 24V. Rear wheel ABS. Recent work included: 2 new rear wheel cylinders. New rear shoes. New shoe springs & related hardware and new rear drums. Two rear brake lines were so corroded they snapped off at the nut on wheel cylinders. I made new lines. Mounted everything up. Unfortunately had to go to work, and could not get the new lines on for a day or two so master self drained. All rear shoes and hardware seemed to go on fine, and appears to be functioning properly. Recently I read several posts about bleeding brakes. I filled up master and started with my mity-vac vacuum system at each corner. Attempted to bleed by myself. Little results felt on the peda…
