I am finally getting around to wiring up some things on a 6 switch box I mounted. The switches are back lit so what would he the best place to pull switched power from or maybe tap into the light switch so they come on with the parking lights? Thanks in advance.

not only is there cheapo and high end ball joints available, but there is a choice of 'adjustable' caster/camber +/- 2-4 degrees. How in the heck would I know what I'd need, UNTIL new joints are installed??? There is no way I could get anywhere close to 'true' reading as shot as my current joints are! Is there a common problem on these dana's that an automatic 2 or 4 degree adjustment will correct? Or are these offset joints for the lifted guys... I am assuming they are only adjustable as to the way they are pressed home... after that, you have to drive em out and clock em to t…

Hey guys, I took my truck and my dirtbike out to the desert this weekend and since it was so damn hot we decided to take the trucks out for a little fun in the air conditioning. I went through some sand, did some hill climbs, nothing too crazy, used 4x4 on and off worked great. I did apparently dump a good amount of oil out of the vent tube going down a hill, though. On the drive home everything was fine didn't *notice* any noises but had the radio going and with the 5" pipe can't hear much anyways. Last night I'm driving home from my buddies and over the radio I can hear a growling and feel in the floorboard some vibrations especially over bumps. Turn the radio off…

I rolled my dash out and this are the wires that I find. Please someone tell me where they go or what they do. I cannot figure out how to pull the entire dash out so I am going to just try to cut the. Back to fresh and see where I can put them. From what I can tell all the wires on the box to the left in the picture are accounted for. But there is like 6 wires melted together that I don’t know what they are or where they go. I now have no idea how to add a picture

Just curious if anyone has tried these. They're similar in appearance and design to the Harley Davidson day maker headlight. I have one on my bike and it's very bright. I would not be powering these through the factory headlight switch, rather use one of the switches in my switch panel. They also have the halo if you want to hook that up. May just power both the halo and light on dame switch. Not sure yet. Haven't ordered them yet, still debating.

Alright, so I'm at a loss here. Well, maybe not entirely. I have a theory! :smart:So, the other day I was coming home from work and noticed the EGT gauge was reading abnormally low. Like less than 200 while driving. I knew something was funky. But, I also shrugged it off after as I figured maybe it was from decelerating.Well, last night I was driving again and I could not get the temp to read higher than 250. WTF! :banghead:I replaced the thermocouple 2 summers ago! Even made a thread about it! Have not touched it since than and cannot even begin to think what could be doing it. The gauge, maybe? Then I tested my theory. I got on the freeway to go to my destination, goosed…

Ive replaced the rear sensor with a new from Napa and rock auto. Still no change. I can clear the codes and the lights go out momentarily then come right back on. The fuses for the abs system are good also, as are the underhood connections, along with the connection at the rear axle the pigtail is in good shape. the 74 code will come and go if I just sit with the truck running and scanner hooked up. Has anyone else had these codes with similar issues?

Has anyone ever hooked up an aftermarket engine temperature gauge? I know the factory gauge says 190* on the middle mark but does anyone really know what temperature the other marks are supposed to be? You go from 190* in the middle, to the next line, and then nothing until 240*. Thats a big number jump to not know whats in between.

I've got something odd going on with my truck. The more vexing problem is I get intermittent dimming lights that I notice when driving at night. For a tenth of a second everything will go dim, and then come back. Headlights, dash lights, interior lights if they're on, and the voltage gauge will dip from 13.x to12v and then recover.I've looked for shorts in the main battery cables and alternator charging cable, and find none; nothing is ever warm either. I've checked for loose battery connections and loose alternator connections. I'm getting close to throwing parts at it with a fresh alternator to see if that makes a difference, and an external voltage regulator if it doe…

I’m sure this has been best to death and a can of worms I probably don’t want to open. Looking for the most reliable lift pump. I’ve been repeatedly told lately to stay away from fass and air dog as they’ve supposedly went down hill. Currently have an air dog 100 that I’m not satisfied with. Thinking with my mods I should jump to a 150 or 165gph. Open to suggestions but would like to stay with the dual filter type. I’m a brand new member so forgive me for not understanding the searches and topics yet.

I am re-building my 2000 CTD 2 wd truck after several bad MICHIGAN salty winters...geesh I wish I would have oiled the insides of everything like I know I should have.... Anyway I am looking to upgrade the wheels and tires and need to know "what fits" from other years ect? Looking to go with maybe a newer take off wheel in a larger diameter. This will be only a road truck, no off road, stock height, fiberglass boards, I do tow a 5 th wheel. I heard that 8 lug ford wheels were the same. I do not plan to buy new wheels but would like to find some in ex condition somewhere and get new tires. So ! any ideas?? Many thanks to all on this forum for all you do

Hey guys, anyone have their Air Bag Light illuminate after R/R Steering Column? I've had it out twice making finer adjustments on the Rock Solid Ram Steering Column Fix (awesome upgrade by the way, totally improves steering response) and after the second time my Air Bag Light stays on. 1. Have I damaged a wire and if so which one?2. Have I damaged the clock spring? If so, how do you diagnose this? I look forward to your responses, and thank you Michael for running such an awesome site. P.S. This is on a 2002 and prior to the install no dash lights and no DTCs.

Came off the HVAC or maybe the ECM or who knows while taking the dash off. I thought it was something obvious and easy to remember but I can't remember or find a place for it to go for the life of me. Any ideas?

Lately my steering wheel has developed some movement in it up & down & a popping noise. If you press on top or bottom of steering wheel it makes a pop & moves slightly up and down. It's even gotten so loose that the steering column & wheel seem to rattle when you hit a bump in the road. Is there anything common that gets worn out in these steering columns that causes the steering wheel to have movement in it like that & a popping sound. The popping sounds like it's coming in the area directly beind the steering wheel....Thanks for any help or suggestions.

On my 02 I have constant power to my 12v power plug. The cigarette lighter comes on with the key. Can I some how take the two out swap power wires or just wire to a different keyed power source? Or is it possible to make my lighter plug where a charger will fit. Because nothing but the lighter will plug in to it now.

Got around to the 30k mile interval so it was time to flush the brake fluid. Followed the procedure as per the FSM. I use an air powered tool that pulls the fluid through back from the master cylinder to flush. I couldn't help but notice that both rear brakes were producing air bubbles no matter how long I was running new fluid through them (rear passenger was more noticeable than rear driver). Both front brakes had zero air bubbles which is I why I'm a little confused! I did not get around to pulling the drums off to inspect for leaks, but is it safe to condemn the wheels cylinders being bad? I'm going to double check with tracing the brakes lines for the rear end b…
