I'm selling my 1998 12v Extended Cab Automatic. Mechanically it runs just like a stock 12v should. The first time I washed it I ended up with a different color coming through, it's called primer. Then I powered washed it and of course it made more of the primer color shine through. When I first got it the AFC box came out from Power Driven Diesel. I bought one with the gauge on it along with injectors and CVs. Still in the box in the closet. Is there any point putting them on to try and get a better price or just sell these parts separate? I can put a paint job on it for about $350 but it's not going to cover any or much body work (small places). Maybe just cleaned up rea…

Hey guys looking to put new steering links on the truck. Ever since I put the DOR track bar on my stock steering linkage has really shown its wear. It'll pop while turning and you can easily turn them by hand. Looking to upgrade to the 09 kit, will this one work? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0046NUOLM/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Also would it be worth upgrading the steering stabilizer? Or will that even work?

Hi, Correct one problem, along comes the next. Guess that's why these trucks are called a Labor of Love. I tried to use the Cruise Control. All it does is illuminate the ABS and Brake warning lights. I know I'm not the first. Leaky

So since I got this truck over a year and a half ago and ever since it's had a very sloppy gas pedal. The first picture is it resting against the cable stop, the second is being supported by my foot, third is a picture of where it rests on the stop unsupported and fourth shows it being supported where I'm pretty sure it should be. Could it be they put in the throttle cable of a V8 or V10? I checked the "Throttle Body" for lack of a better word, and that spring is tight and not sloppy in there so I don't know what is wrong. Doesn't really effect performance just kinda annoying. Any advice helps. Thanks!

Replacing the evaporator core and heater core on my 98 24 valve truck. I have everything loose except the 2 bolts under the dash. There is a cable going to the blend door from the heat and cool knob that I cant figure out how it comes loose. I can pull the cable loose from the door but how do I get it loose from the box. I have a bad habit of breaking stuff. Also having a hard time finding the vacuum line that unplugs from the drivers side. I can't see good enough anymore to do a lot of things. Thanks for any help.

Ok I installed a new blower motor and new resistor (rock auto), Installed Friday. Checked everything working good Previously my AC Blower would sometimes not go on, then go on a few miles or more down the road Sunday after a trip to the store , Start truck to head home and the blower motor doesnt go on again. Damn it ! I mess with on and off switch and speed switch nothing, pull into get fuel about 1 mile away and the blower goes on. Worked fine the rest of the way home. At home I pulled and reinstalled both the relay (under the hood) and the fuse(side of dash) everything good and blower is working fine now still …

I recently noticed that I had power steering fluid leaking from the weep hole on the bottom of the hydro booster of my 01 Dodge 2500. So I ordered the seal kit containing the inner seal and figure 8 seal. The install went as follows: Pumped the brake 3 times, unbolted the master cylinder from the hydro booster, unbolted the brake booster, removed the 3 power steering lines, and then removed the hydro booster and brake booster in one piece. I then separated them and replaced the seals while making certain that the inner seal actually went around the piston and didn't tear. I bolted the 2 housings back together then put the spring, rod, and washer back in befo…

Had this issue before. , So just starting a new thread I have been leaving my AC knob switch on position and my AC blower had been going on all the time when I start the truck Last couple days it sometimes it doesnt go on when I turn the ignition on and drive my truck . But a few miles down the road all the sudden it will go on Sometimes the blower fan will go on in a minute or so and just a mile or so, sometimes I might drive 10-15 miles 20 minute and then the blower fan will all the sudden finally go on This happens no matter what speed the blower motor is set too. So I dont think its that resistor issue I saw …

Got to school yesterday and noticed my passenger side rubber floor mat looked a bit wet, so I lifted it up and loan behold my carpet was soaked. I grabbed some paper towels and soaked it up a bit while I was at school and hurried home and pulled some of the carpet up and stuck a dehumidifier in the passenger seat overnight. Just went out and checked it and it has dried the carpet but that insulation is still a bit wet. Anyone know any cool tricks to drying a carpet in a truck? Tried taking the passenger seat out but found out its spot welded to everything else and didnt feel like taking it all out because of the mess and it was late. Anything helps, thanks! ED…

Just thought this might help someone when they decide to build their own bumpers. These were somewhat simple to build and didn't cost that much, mainly time. Main brackets that bolt to the frame are one piece and go all the way through bumper, that way you don't have to rely on how good your welder is. I ended up making main brackets out of 1/2" because that's what I had laying around. Front bumper is 1/4" except very bottom where its 3/16. Rear bumper is 4x8x1/4" tube. I don't have measurements, because I just built them as I went, most of it is eye baled and within 1/8" of side to side front to back. I didn't want winches permanently mounted anywhere that is why I put …

Hi, I'm in England and have a 98.5 24v 2500 4x4 It has a problem with the CTM, some plank had originally connected the drivers door lock wire the wrong way round so drivers unlocked, passengers locked and vises versa so put that right and noticed at the drivers door window switch someone had soldered resistors into the door lock wires ?? I have a 3500 5.9V8 of the same year so pulled the door panel off and checked it, no resistors so I removed them from the 2500, now both doors would only unlock so fitted both drivers and passenger switches from the 3500, it was still the same, I did notice that the passenger window motor now works from the drivers switch so proved …

I just put new rotors, calipers, pads on all 4 corners of my truck. The pedal feels hard after maybe an inch of travel. It used to feel alot smoother and soft (not mushy) is this normal? Yes I got all the air out of my brake lines. Could this be a hydroboost related?

Has anyone built an on board air compressor type of a deal on their trucks? Im looking for ideas... One of the guys @ work has a bagged Toyota & he suggested some of those compressors. It looks like that might be an option..... It seems to me that there might be a belt driven option for the Cummins motor for other uses....... I could not find anything that might be a good solution. I 'thought' I had started a thread on Cab Lights before, but the search turned up nada.. At any rate, I installed clear lens/amber LED cab lights this past weekend. My truck did not have them from the factory, so I bought some EuroLite 9-LED ones for a Ford, from eBay for $70 delivered. I liked the Ford-style ones better, so that's what I went with. They arrived in a box, no instructions, no packaging, only an invoice, lights, and packing peanuts... Since my truck didn't have cab lights, I had to drill.. In a nutshell: [*]Drop headliner (phillips screws hold visors, pinch clips for overhead console, T20 for pass. side grab-handle, T20 for…
