I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. I need your guys help with this, I’m trying to perfect my daily tune to maximize power and fuel economy. I was finally able to swap out the DDP 100hp injectors with some DAP 100hp injectors (so much better) Also, the truck does have 35x12.5 with 3.55 gears, I know it’s not optimal but I don’t have time or money to re-gear the truck at this time. Below is what I’m currently running, and any input would be much appreciated. Power levels: 7 RPM limit: 3400 Max valet mode power: 50 Pump stretch: 1400 TPS pump max: 100 TPS pump min: 20 Min pump tap fueling: 0 Pump low boost scale PSI: 1…

Okay, I need your guys help with this. I’m trying to fix this daily tune so my EGTs are not so hot cursing down the interstate. Right now, it is hard to keep under 900 while doing 70mph without any hills.( running in level 3,4,5, changing levels does not really change the EGTs) The truck still has the damn DDP injectors in it since I have not had time to change the tips yet (next on list when I have time) so I know those are part of the problem. Also, the truck does have 35x12.5 with 3.55 gears, so I don’t know if that is part of it as well. Below is what I’m currently running, and any input would be much appreciated. Power lev…

There is several ways of getting a boost gauge hooked up. I took the easiest way. I got a 3/4" to 1/2" steel bushing. Then used a 1/2" to 1/8" brass bushing. There is a pipe plug right next to the fuel filter. There is several stories about how to do you pyrometer probe. I'm going to explain my method. I center punched the manifold on the rear port where I wanted to drill my hole. I greased my drill bit and drilled slowly with a shop vacuum next to the bit. After drilling I used both a magnetic screwdriver and a Q-tip to pick up any metal chips. Then I greased my tap and tapped my hole. I checked the manifold again in the same way as above. Then install your probe as …

So now that I have my fuel system upgraded, I am going to be putting in 75 hp nozzles. My injectors seem to be good, plenty of power, 22 mpg empty, so my question is can I send my injectors out and just have the nozzles replaced and them pop tested and adjusted? From the sounds of it, when people buy new injectors for their trucks they send in the old injectors for core deposit, so I am assuming that the old ones are rebuilt and sold to someone else. Some time this week I am hoping to get into town to a diesel shop to drop the injectors and tips off, so I guess that I am hoping that this will work and I can get a few more ponies out of the Ram. I am not sure how man…

I got my new injectors from DAP installed an Friday and I can’t be happier with how the truck runs. It’s smoother at idle, has way less idle haze when the engine is cold, and they pair perfectly with the Calibrated Power hx35 stealth 64. The smoke output is less than the 7x.0085 injectors they replaced. I also got a quadzilla adrenaline at the same time as the injectors but it ended up getting back ordered so I’m still running my 12 year old Edge Juice with Attitude for now. The sales staff at DAP are second to none. I will definitely use them again in the future.

After purchase of dap 7x.0010 injectors and quad I'm having idle issues first time put in gear. 99 auto stock hx35 cai 4" mprp big loap will stall if grid heater is active. Smokes when grid heater is active and in gear. If I double pedal to back out I'm fine. Once in gear im fine until I put in park again. then same problem. I've completely removed quad ran on zero ran on 3 with timing changes. No change. Ran wire tap with ZERO SMOKE all settings. After researching alot on here I assumed I needed the quad to turn can bus fuel down on no to low psi for smoke control. I'm stumped. any advice. thanks Stock stall converter. fass set to 14 psi. hits 15 when bucking in gear…

I finally got the 7 x 0.0085 @ 305 bar removed and the 7 x 0.010 @ 320 bar installed. What I noticed right off the bat is the idle is MUCH smoother. Without changing any of my tune on the Quadzilla I had it on level 0 for extended warm up. Then I flip back to my max power level of 7. Once it warmed up it was a bit smokey. Quickly changed up my timing and a few timing setting and cleared a bunch of that up. Enough power it to break the tires loose in 3rd or 4th gear. I've got to play with the tune a bit to clean stuff up for sure. +150 HP VCO 7 x 0.010 @ 320 bar are a excellent choice for Quadzilla Adrenaline.

I moved from the Seattle area to Chelan Washington ,I have had the truck for a little over 1 year .it is a dodge 2002 5.9 4x4 automatic . I added the fuel pressure gauge and a fass ddrp with a inline pre filter ,the truck has 74.000 miles and has 15psi at the injection pump .since the weather is a lot warmer the dead pedal seems to show up and when I went back to north bend I didn't act up.... till I went back to Chelan .I did replace the sensor (apps) and when the air is cool no problem .I get the fuel from the same place in so I don't think that's anything to do with it . thanks kelly

Hey guys ive had dead pedal ever seens ive put new II hotrod pump on and timbo tps. I think it maybe in the tps because when i put the first one on the lowest i could get it to set was .750 and he sent me another one that he checked before he sent it and said it read .680. I put it on and with my cheap habor freight meter and it said .710. So i adjusted it till it went up and then backed it up till it was at .71 then back it off a half turn then called him and he said to take it up till it went up then back it off a half turn. So i check it before i mess with it again and it was at .750, I went to adjust it and could not get it below .720 so i set it at that. …

Getting an aux trans cooler for my truck pretty soon here. I’m also getting a deep trans pan. I’ve narrowed it down to the Derale 15840 and the 15960. Anyone have person experience with any of these? Or if you have another suggestions fire them my way! I’m also going to do the Derale electric fan set up adventually when I get time. Also is their any good write ups on installing these on our trucks? I did a quick google search and didn’t come up with much

I'm adding a fuel pressure gauge. Other gauges already in "A" pillar are trans, boost and egt. Since 2005. All the light wires are from one place (not sure yet from where). But wire sure looks real small to me. Basic Question on wiring... To make sure I'm ok on this or any wire project...add up how much elec going to be going through and then select wire size based on how much going thru wire?

I decided to upgrade my injectors and while in there adjust the valves. Thanks moparman... for the write-ups! BIG help! Other than breaking the breather nipple.. everything went smoothly. Much easier than I anticipated. Only issue I really had... was getting a torque wrench on the back most fuel line nut.. so I just guestimated with a regular wrench. Also decided to do a grid delete and have my intake and valve cover powder coated. Throughout the whole process.. I was so nervous that when I finished it wasn't going to start or run as well as it did before I stuck my hands in there. Well... it took around 4 times cranking before I heard it turn over... music to my ea…

I wish I had known about it sooner. It made a very noticeable difference in how the truck steers, it's much easier to turn my 35's now. Also replaced the seal on the sector shaft and flushed out all of the ATF +4 with actual power steering fluid. I'm also going to adjust the over-center screw as per the TSB to see if I can take up the minor amount of play I have.

I just got done installing the Edge Juice/ Attitude CS2 on my 1998 24V with 160K. I was fortunate to be able to use my daughters heated pole barn since it is quite cold here. It started up fine and ran smooth right off. I took it for a test ride and pulled over a couple miles out to let things warm and get familiar with the control. After about 5 minutes I set the control at 0 and ran it up to about 55 to get a feel. I then turned around and set it at 2 and punched it to the floor and was quite happy with the extra power. I was just about to back off at about 55 when it died completely. Coasted to a stop and tried to restart it. It cranked over good but nothing. …

Has anyone ever seen/used one of these? I'm thinking of getting it. Might have enough pocket change laying around. My autometer one is a piece of crap and I don't think it even reads under 200F. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/DIGITAL-EGT-THERMOMETER-PYROMETER-W-PROBE-NPT-/200479992542?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2ead89eade http://www.auberins.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=5&products_id=19&zenid=8e1935c848838db60b048b3aad855430

So I'm looking at pics of this piece of plastic and thinking that $70 is a bit high. Has anyone tried to 3d-print their own version of this? I mean, it's just a piece of plastic with 5 holes and a set screw. I was thinking about scanning the stock VP44 cover and printing my own version that I could release for free on Thingiverse or the like so anyone can make their own. Anybody have a spare VP44 cover they can ship me?

Does anybody have a good recommendation for a DIY or aftermarket fuel filter setup for a 2000? A few months ago I replaced a leaky drain valve with a new one from Geno’s, but I still don’t really trust it. Also, the internals for the wif sensor and fuel heater were both crusty and non functional. I prefer to keep things simple and stock but I don’t wanna worry about leaks, plus that canister is a pain to get off and on. I have a Raptor 4G mounted to the frame rail and 1/2” lines tank to pump.
