I just got done installing the Edge Juice/ Attitude CS2 on my 1998 24V with 160K. I was fortunate to be able to use my daughters heated pole barn since it is quite cold here. It started up fine and ran smooth right off. I took it for a test ride and pulled over a couple miles out to let things warm and get familiar with the control. After about 5 minutes I set the control at 0 and ran it up to about 55 to get a feel. I then turned around and set it at 2 and punched it to the floor and was quite happy with the extra power. I was just about to back off at about 55 when it died completely. Coasted to a stop and tried to restart it. It cranked over good but nothing. …

Just when I think I've come up with a logical solution to what's not really a problem, I see that Robert Bosch's company has beat me to it. http://www.dieselmechanic.info/common-rail/bosch-common-rail-system-intercooler-bypass.html However, I think mine would be operated by a choke cable, and maybe later an additional IAT sensor and a stepper motor.

Hey guys, got me an edge comp, again! 98whitelightnin had an edge comp left over after his p7100 swap and was patient enough to wait for me to get the funds to him to get it from him! Shout out to you, buddy! :hyper:I have a couple questions for the rest of you guys' though.1. The box is a gold color. I'm confused? The one I used to own was a black color. Does this mean anything?2. I got rid of my edge comp after I rebuilt my tranny. Trans shop owner told me to get rid of it as I will smoke my tranny if I use it again. Although after reading, I kicked myself for getting rid of it as it showed to benefit me.But now, after having the tranny rebuilt and pulling my toyhauler,…

So I’m looking to sell my truck. I found another 01 with only 168,000 miles. So what I’m asking is how do you price a high mileage truck like this? It runs great and has no issues. 316,000 miles tho. Overhauled transmission at about 270,000 raptor 150 s&b cold air intake edge ez

Getting an aux trans cooler for my truck pretty soon here. I’m also getting a deep trans pan. I’ve narrowed it down to the Derale 15840 and the 15960. Anyone have person experience with any of these? Or if you have another suggestions fire them my way! I’m also going to do the Derale electric fan set up adventually when I get time. Also is their any good write ups on installing these on our trucks? I did a quick google search and didn’t come up with much

I've been researching for awhile and I am more lost then when I started... My HX35 is mashed potatoes and it's time to throw it in the scrap pile. I've been looking at the Smeding Diesel Borg Warner "drop in" turbos because I've heard good things for the price. My truck has a FASS150, 150hp injectors, Quad ADR, 103# springs, a 5" pipe on it and it's a 5speed. I use it for work and moderate towing, I won't be taking it to the strip anytime soon, if ever. Turbo config I'm leaning towards is a 362/68/14, think that will fit the bill? They also offer a 362/65/14 and 366/68/14, 366/73/14 which I've determined is most likely too laggy. Just need some incite, ideas, opinio…

I moved from the Seattle area to Chelan Washington ,I have had the truck for a little over 1 year .it is a dodge 2002 5.9 4x4 automatic . I added the fuel pressure gauge and a fass ddrp with a inline pre filter ,the truck has 74.000 miles and has 15psi at the injection pump .since the weather is a lot warmer the dead pedal seems to show up and when I went back to north bend I didn't act up.... till I went back to Chelan .I did replace the sensor (apps) and when the air is cool no problem .I get the fuel from the same place in so I don't think that's anything to do with it . thanks kelly

The clutch I got my SB 1947 OFE installed the last part on November. It was nice to now have a non slipping clutch again. I am impressed with the SB. In first it engages smoothly, it is a little grabby launching in 2nd but nothing to worry about. It holds like the Hulk and I am very happy with it. i made one run of about 475 miles with the 5th wheel in tow and the comp on 2X3 and it handled it just fine. This was on a good mix of flat and hill country. No long grades to speak of but a good many short 6% or so grades. The clutch held great no matter what I threw at it. When I got home maneuvering the 5th wheel into my driveway went smooth. I was pleasantly surprised h…

Hi, I bought a 2002 h.o. 6 speed qclb back in October. It is a rust free Arizona truck. It has a few dents and faded paint but I plan on fixing that in the near future. It is totally stock minus the 4" exhaust and s&b. It has 99,600 miles on it. It also has a raptor dfrp that it came with. My plans for this truck are to basically make it as reliable as possible while waking it up a bit. Realistically i'd like to be making around 300-350 this summer to at least be able to keep up with my buddy's stock '05 6 speed. Right now it's in storage for the winter ( I daily a rusty '96 ram 1500 ) so I've just been buying parts. Fass 95 titanium, isspro ev2's and quad adrenaline …

Well as the title states my wife thinks I need a new truck since we're moving back to Colorado. She doesn't want me to keep using my old 78 Ford for my winter beater and the 01Dodge is her winter transportation (happy wife, happy life). With that being said she thinks we need another Cummins so I've been on the lookout for an unmolested 2nd gen. I've found a few potential candidates. Which one would you consider? https://denver.craigslist.org/cto/d/2001-dodge-2500/6758095175.html https://denver.craigslist.org/cto/d/2002-dodge-ram-cummins-trade/6750979105.html https://denver.craigslist.org/cto/d/2002-dodge-a-2500/6758957497.html …

I ended up trading my edge comp for a smarty. I received a boost fooler with the trade but haven't installed it. Not sure if I really need it. I don't seem to have an issue. I have only pushed it a couple of times to see where it would go... and it seems to be around 30-32. I do throw a fueling code tho. Should I install it just to avoid the code? Will it void it? Will it do anything else for me?

Ok, The 2002 I have has 140hp injectors in it. The thing can smoke like a train fired on wet leaves until the turbo spools if I have the sub levels on the Comp over 2. It has good power and adequate fueling at higher RPM as well, and can overload the turbo if I am not careful. Overall the truck has more than enough power, I don't need more. I've lit up the new 285 BFGs on dry pavement while rolling before, much to the wife's dismay. :lmao:What I do want, is to keep the timing of the Comp at 5, while reducing a bit of fuel at higher RPM and a fair amount less at lower RPM. Ideally, I would change to smaller injectors, but since I have a smarty and edge, why not do it …

I have an Isspro 0-40psi gauge that works perfect. Only removed because it didn't match my other gauges. Used for about 10 months. If you need it give me a fair offer.

I am installing a fuel filter behind the Raptor pump. I'll be adding isolation valves so that the filter can be serviced with minimal loss of fuel. Will I need to bleed any air out of the system at the engine if I'm working behind the pump?

Been reading up on the problematic OEM lift pump & aftermarket solutions. I have to say I'm a bit confused as to why the aftermarket pumps have a relief valve. I can understand that there needs to be a return to the tank from the lift pump to dump the air that has been removed from the fuel. But doesn't the OEM fuel system have a pressure relief valve that maintains supply pressure, and bleeds the excess into the fuel return line at the injection pump? Also doesn't the excess fuel used to cool the IP? If the pressure relief valve on the LP opens up, what happens to the required extra flow to the IP? Is the OEM pressure relief/return system overwhelmed by the aftermark…

1. What is the best place to get a front hub assembly on a 2001 2wd 3500? Mine is howling like crazy and I suspect is part of the ABS problem I am having. 2. I looked but couldn't find what type of power steering fluid my truck needs. What brand or type of power steering fluid can I use? Synthetic? Availability? Sorry for the newb questions Thanks in advance!
