Hey guys my local truck pulling rules say that in the stock diesel class you can run a 2.5 turbo and I was wondering what you guys think would be the best turbo, thanks:thumb1:

Had to get rental today so wives crv get airbags fixed. Rental was brand new jeep compass. Not sure if all gadgets are worth it. Here is pic of center console. Be nice to have some of stuff in a 2nd gen. Wiring diagram probably need roll of butcher paper to get it all on. Don't see how common guy can fix his own anymore. Some things are nice but this is over kill.

hey guys just a quick question i changed fuel filters the other day because it had been about 10000 miles since the last change. the fuel inside was crystallizing and almost snot-like consistency lol anyways, my question here is: which anti-gel? i have read the HFRR testing article on here, i have read other testings, and it looks like opti lube is the way to go, but theres a few different ones that contain anti-gel but my concerns are that it claims to boost cetane which i thought wasnt a good thing? i need an anti-gel to use this winter because last winter i did have 1 instance of gelling with a wind chill of -15, supposed to be worse this year.. pl…

  4. so after having surging for a month or two after startup, I finally found my air leak. problem is, its on the top where the two wires come into. how do i fix that? can i pull the rubber boot off of it and replace it? then re solder the wire on the inside? is there a special type of solder to use? i dont want to solder it and the stuff comes off and goes into the IP, ( not good at soldering) or am I screwed and im buying a new one, is there anyway that i could block it off> what does the wires do exactly on this.... i grabbed a pic offline to show where its at.

  5. https://ibb.co/SfMjjWV Just purchased a quadzilla for iPhone for my 1999 5 speed Cummins. The boost numbers bounce around from 10 and back to 0 which causes the truck to jerk a lot. I just received this 5/21 and I took out my edge juice with attitude that I had zero issues with. Would show boost 30+ and the truck ran great. Quad number is ADR1000 which is correct for my 99. Now my main issue is the 3 prong map sensor connector. The middle prong inside the connector appears to be damaged. I’m not sure if this would cause the issues I’m having. I ordered form power driven diesel and just received it 3 days ago and just installed today. …

Alright fellas, another 5th wheel trailer question. Ran to a local RV place to look at some trailers and see what me and the wife would consider living in while I work. Just went there with the intent to see some in person and see what we could get financed for. Took us out on the lot and saw a few we really would like. We agreed on one and used it as a "baseline" to see what we could get financed for. This is the trailer: http://www.rv007.com/pre_owned_detail.asp?veh=3011544 We got approved for financing for it. Thats not the problem. I explained to them that I was limited in how heavy I could tow something. The sales guy was like a genuine Larry the …

I have a Fass 95 pulling off the factory basket and recently installed an Edge Juice w/ Attitude. My fuel pressure bounces all over the place. From 10 to 23 psi on the CTS monitor. Edge has replaced there senor 2 times and no change. I did the 5 gal bucket test today and psi is all over the place. Truck runs good from what I can tell. The gauge bounces at idle and wot. I had a snubber on it but it didn't help at all. Is it possible that I still have a bad senor? I have not checked with a mechanical gauge yet. Anybody have any thoughts??

So work just let me know i need to go overseas for a job. I might be gone for 3 weeks or up to 15 months. what have you guys done to keep these trucks to maintain them in storage. already plan on unplugging the batteries and putting them on a battery tender, putting it on jacks to attempt to save the tires since they are only 4 months old now. Figured put some desiccant and rat poison in the cab also. what do you recommend for the fuel, Fill it all the way up or run till almost empty?

  12. Good day Gents, I have recently purchased a 1999 Dodge with 5.7 Cummins 24v and it came with iquad adrenaline "aggressive" setup. The vehicle had 275hp injectors which i replaced with 50hp just last week. When i first got the vehicle the programming did not seem to work: no matter what the setting, the power output was the same and fuel economy sat at around 14mpg. With the new injectors, there is now a definite response from the different program settings however, the milage has not changed one bit even with the lower hp injectors and a full tank of babying the throttle. I have read through quite a few of the posts, i appreciate your knowledge and willingne…

I have a 02 6 SPD. Has 150hp injectors and boost elbow. Truck runs great but once it hits about 30 psi boost it stops adding fuel, just like a light switch. Do I need a boost fooler? I had a tst at one time and don't remember my truck doing this. Thanks Adam

Im looking at doing this to my truck but it look like there is machining involved and over my head i was wondering if you guys could recomond the best person on the lower 48 for the job. Someone i can take the truck to and have them do the complete job.

  16. I want to bring up something that happened to me. Now last night a friend showed up with one of his friends and we started talking shop, trucks and diesel be exact Cummins in a Ford. Of course I open the hood on both the 2002 and 1996 Dodge let this other guy preview the trucks. After it was all said and done it was getting late the guys packed up and left. I went out and locked up both trucks and had to roll up the windows on the 1996 Dodge. Went in for the night. Got this morning hauled some trash down to the trash can and hear faint music playing to me it sounded like across the road from me. Disregarded the music being its Jet Boat Race weekends figure people are part…

Since this post is mostly about "getting to the next milestone", I'll stick it in this forum. In the not to distant future I plan to change out my A/C condenser and compressor. With the condenser coming out I plan to pull the radiator, intercooler (has bent mounting ears from Bambi damage) etc. and change the front seal while I'm there. What else is best done with everything out of the way? Perfect time for a cam, but don't know that I need one. Service the power steering? Vacuum pump overhaul, even if it doesn't need it yet? Timing cover gasket? I plan to have the truck down for a while, so I can make the list as lo…

I'm installing a mpg and high idle fooler. My hands are quite big and trying to determine the easest way to make the connection to the ait. Take off the bracket for the dip stick and remove fuel filter? Or find an Aisian woman to help? Lol.

I'm in the process of getting my parts together to fab up a compuond setup. Top turbo is a HE351. I picked up a HT3B for the low pressure turbo. I thought it was a 26cm exhaust housing. Turned out to be a 32cm. Questoin is this. With a set of 150 sticks do you guys think the 32 will light? Or should I just start looiking for a 26/27 cm housing? How bad do you think this wild lag used as a 32? You can see my current mods in my sig. Thanks

So I finally ordered and installed my gauges. I got Isspro EV2 Black Face gauges, 0-30psi Fuel Pressure, 0-1600* Pyro, 0-100psi Boost. Installed and working minus the fuel pressure gauge. I just got the last piece of that puzzle so tomorrow that will be totally functional. After I grew the cahoneys to drill a hole in my exhaust manifold it was cake work. I spent a lot of time running my wires to keep them clean looking and safe. Spent a lot of time cutting and fitting my stock a-pillar cover to get the gauge pod to fit nice and flush and as close to factory as possible. I hate when people do sloppy installs. But they look great!Pics to come soon!!
