  1. It can be blocked off without any ill effects.
  2. Like myself I grew up with a 1973 Dodge Charger SE with a 400 CID rebuilt a 383 CID and then beefed up the trans and drove that car for over 300,000 miles when I sold it. I'm just waiting for something to come along and kill off the whole muscle car thing again it happen back with the oil embargo I'm sure it will happen again.
  3. I'm just saying test them to rule out any injector issues. This why I'm just suggest the test so we can rule out causes of why its smoking. You might just replace them and not gain anything or make the problem worse. This why testing is best before just through money and parts at any problem.
  4. Crawl under the truck and check the fender skirt and the fender mountings. You might find the fender is torn loose from the cab. Might notice the fender to door gap is a bit weird. Also check the body mounts to the frame for problems.
  5. I suggested that too... But the owner has tried some other kind of spray glue as well. Never told me the name of the stuff.
  6. Cow Chow or Horse Chow. Just bring them to Idaho lots of grass land to munch on...
  7. That's all I do it rip it out and just replace the gasket on the cover. As for heat shield not required either. Just keep 14-20 PSI of fuel pressure and fuel flow will cool the VP44.
  8. This is just a traveler going home to Las Vegas, NV and was having troubles. As for alignment that was one of the thing I kept after the owner as he was installing the boot again and making sure everything was absolutely clean and free of oil. Light black coating of oil in the discharge of the turbo too.
  9. Last night a neighbor called up asking me to help him out with a Ford Powerstroke with a boost boot that keep blowing off the mouth of turbo. His stock boot was blown and shredded on the one end. The after market boot was a bit different length but it did fit. For some reason it would blow that one off too in about 5 miles. Tow a 5th wheel trailer GVWR for the trailer was close to 15,000 pounds. Also running big 35" tires as well. Edge Juice set to stock and running about 15-20 PSI of boost climbing the canyon. I figure I would ask about it to see if anyone else learned a answer to this weird problem?
  10. I've never been a big fan of the aluminium skinned RV's after owning the 1976 Dodge Jamboree. That had the exact same issues all the front corners leaked and the roof was constantly leaking too. Now here is where the two Jayco differ... Tracy's is a aluminium skinned mine is fiberglass both the same floor plan. So far I've been rather diligent about keeping it sealed up. I've got to do some more on mine and also redo a few spots I'm not happen with before a leak does occur. Sometime this summer I got to treat the rubber roof as well.
  11. What size hay bails are those?
  12. I tend to agree the white smoke is possibly a injector issue. I would consider having them pop tested to see where your at. Typically its a free test.
  13. Here is a start for you. Lets get looking at the wiring and see if the signal are sent correctly.
  14. Well between doing oil changes on the wood splitter, lawn mower and 96 Dodge Ram I've been busy this morning. Then fixing the dam wall of the pond out back. Burning trash in my burn barrels. But now with the summer heat coming on by tomorrow it will be in the low 90's here and closer to 100*F in Riggins, ID. So I work during the morning hours outside as much as possible then hide for the afternoon heat. Then back out for the evening hours. I'm pretty sure I should start getting phone calls for air conditioning charging and repairs.
  15. I typically think the Edge Products boost elbow is better than the adjustable elbow. But that's me...
  16. At this rate Tracy you might get to use it this fall. I know its not a easy task of tearing on down and fixing. I'm getting itchy to see your finished product though...
  17. Just that I was wondering I wander around several web site from Linux, Administration site, Cummins Sites, to to a few other odd balls like LiveOak's (Tractor Farm And Family). But I've see a pretty good drop in the last few weeks even here is almost 200 less people a day. So I'm just about right in my thinking the weather improved people are outside like myself and doing other things. Not much with truck failures. Pretty soon I should see a few pop up with overheating issues and air conditioning issues. As for me I've been racing to get as much wood as possible Riggins, ID is going into the 100 degree mark on top of this thunder storms this week. Ugh!
  18. I'm splitting your Big Boy thread and bringing it here.
  19. Dude what a sweet deal... Wow! There is plenty of diagnostic stuff you can do with those. I'm pretty sure you could make some good money doing diagnostic work in your area.
  20. I'm curious what is everyone doing these days? I'm noticing more and more web site slowing down and less activity. So I'm curious what have you been up to?
  21. Talk to Wild and Free he's up there...
  22. Does he have a second one for that price? Holy Cow I would buy one at that price...
  23. Hex0rz this is the guy I wanted you to talk to. LiveOak is the owner of Tractor Farm & Family site and he's a big bee nut you need to check out his site as well... http://www.tractorfarmandfamily.com
  24. May I ask the price your getting it for?
  25. DRBIII scanners are are typically $5,000 to $9,000 a scan tool. Are you sure its a true DRBIII tool? Not to mention the tool isn't going to be worth much without the subscription to Chrysler Database of Software. http://www.autoditto.com/drb-iii.html?gclid=CN-m2eCmn78CFQaBfgodqIIAAg http://www.ntxtools.com/network-tool-warehouse/OTC-CH6020A-AM.html
