  1. Welcome to the family and I move the post for ya... Here is the extended definitions... P1693 P0216 Now I'm going to ask you how much fuel pressure you got? Do you even have a fuel pressure gauge?
  2. I'll send my prayers out to your friend...
  3. I can play that game too... If my mailbox was on the west side of the highway I would have a Pollock, ID address but since its on the east side of the highway I'm a New Meadows, ID address. Pollock is only like 50 population where New Meadows is like 500 or so. I'm so far out in the mountain that the only paved road is the highway (US 95)... But at least out here vehicle vs vehicle accident are some what rare... But vehicle vs. animal is a bit more common but less deadly for the driver... Give you an idea... Speed limit on US 95 pass my house is 65 MPH. I can leave home and set my cruise for 55 MPH and travel all the way to Riggins, ID (15 miles) or New New Meadows, ID (20 miles) and never see another vehicle behind me the entire trip.
  4. Coolant is change every year and so is the thermostat... Regardless of color of the oolant its change yearly because even the FSM states every 30K miles is service limit. By the time a year is over I'm right close to 25K... So why not I know I'm going to pull the thermstat for flushing purposes so since the cover is off might as well drop a fresh one in...
  5. @ Dripley I still say that's a thermostat issue... I don't normally get wild swings of the coolant temp. It might take extra temp to pop the thermostat open like 202-205*F but mine always settles back to 195-197 and olhd fairly steady... Just a cheap NAPA thermostat... @ AH64ID you might try the warm air for a winter and check your MPG as you go along. Monitor you IAT temps and see what possibly hits a high spot. I know we are travel unknown ground here but some where in the mixof temps there has to be a bell curve on performance/MPG even if its slight its there...
  6. I just use a grid heater bolt just screws right into the top of the injector. Great pull handle... As for pulling crossover tube just hook the threaded area with a small flatblade screw driver... So far the only special tools I've bought for my 2 trucks is... [*]Ball joint press [*]VP44 gear puller Everything else has been just standard old hand tools...
  7. I've been running Redneck fog lamp... 4 - 100 watt floods...
  8. That's a huge town... I'm outside of Riggins, ID where there is only 300 people. The town is 1 mile long and quarter mile wide... Now that a small town...
  9. Here is the simple list of thing to look at... http://articles.mopar1973man.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=40:basic-diagnostics&catid=26&Itemid=107 I'll do some thing about your issue and see what pops up... Since I've already to you on the phone a few times...
  10. About the same here floats 195-197...
  11. I checked into a replacement back when I found out... And the front half of the exhaust system was insane amount of money to replace it. Since the vehicle will most likely never see a smog check I'm not worried about it.
  12. As for my wiring diagram it shows Black/Orange as being hot in the RUN position... Then Black/White as being hot in both RUN and ACC positions. As for me I would just tap a fuse in the fuse block like for my Edge Comp it taps fuse 17 which is only hot in ON position.
  13. Well... Another tidbit... I got the trans fluid change, fresh fluid, filter and the bands adjusted. As for the exhuast system it completely gutted out the kitty is missing in action. So that's a step in the right direction. As for the kitty it broke loose a few years back and was sliding around in the can so I gave it some help with a few small holes and a screw driver...
  14. Well I got that project done... I didn't shoot as many pictures as I would of liked but I was focused on completing the job more so. After I completed it ran so much better. Very smooth idle and very quiet engine compared to before. Took it for a little test drive and wow it really does pull much stronger and even the ScanGauge II shows a slight improvement in the MPG's. The O2 sensor isn't wandering all over like it was before fighting that massive vacuum leak under the manifold. I've had problems for a long time for P0306 error code and some times it was bad and other well it would disappear... http://forum.mopar1973man.com/threads/185-P0306-Error-code-answers... Now I know I got it fixed...
  15. Katoom a suggestion... You might throw some pics up of what you trying to haul and then pics of the hitch assembly too.
  16. Well I'm working on it with the 96 Gasser and cold air does effect the MPG.I've been seeing 25-30*F mornings. So like on the 96 (V8 Gasser) I pull the cold air duct off and let the engine pull in the warm radiator air and the MPG went up slightly. What we are after is after so cold there is a point that cold air does effect MPG and performance.
  17. No doubt a good 12V will out do most of the new Cummins...
  18. Well heal yourself up... As for walking take your time but I know you got to keep moving or you'll get stoved up...
  19. As for me... I spend a majority of time out in the dust and dirt all summer... No pre-filter here and just run a BHAF...
  20. No such thing in my books...
  21. Friend of mine had trhe same problem with 92 Dodge and took it to another place and had the front end re done and found out the 1st shop was just plain lazy and didn't give a damn. The 2nd shop got it done right but took over 2 hours to line up a 2WD 350 Dodge Ram...
  22. I almost thought it was a darn spammer got to kick some tail... Take away all my fun...
