  1. As for the other battery its starting to fail... Batteries on RV's are just like the Cummins replace the entire set not just one. Batteries should never get warm while charging that's a sign of a internal short inside the battery. Just for fun (Joke) What happen to the energizer bunny if you stick his batteries in backwards??? (Answer later tonight)
  2. After this is done he should get better MPG's...
  3. Ummm... The batteries are in the basement (garage). OMG... Little more on them... http://www.trojanbatteryre.com/PDF/datasheets/L16REB_Trojan_Data_Sheets.pdf http://www.trojanbatteryre.com/Products/Deep_Cycle_Premium_Line.html Charging... http://www.trojanbattery.com/BatteryMaintenance/Charging.aspx Inteli-Power 9100 manual (What's in my Jayco) http://www.progressivedyn.com/CONVERTER_MANUAL.pdf
  4. It is for me... Personally I'd say Edge Comp... But since most want toyz and gauges for free they do the Edge Juice... Quadzilla is a good performance unit that produces more HP than Edge but that the most I can tell ya...
  5. Nope mine is still in the same spot but if I was not using a stock filter can (fuel heater) my fuel pressure gauge would be hooked up back at the AirDog way back under the truck.
  6. When you cranking on the starter the ECM send a on - off - on - off - on signal ot the lift pump at exactly 50% off and %50 percent on. http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=NCJjMzRImpA
  7. Actually you want to be as far from the VP44 as possible... Water hammer is the #1 killer of gauges, senders and pressure switches... http://articles.mopar1973man.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=34:instrumentation-fuel-pressure-gauge-and-water-hammer-effects&catid=14&Itemid=115
  8. Heck... On my way off the mountain I got to Riggins, ID and it was 104*F yesterday... Then today we hit 95*F here at the house and then in McCall, ID is was still 89*F at 5,200 ft elevation... Me... I can handle cold sooooo Good... Not a problem... Its the heat I can't deal with... I'll I do is pour sweat all over my glasses and can't see a dang thing anyways...
  9. Something I'm starting to see after hauling heavy. Like I just spent the weekened hauling firewood off the mountain did about 14 MPG for the weekend. But after it was all said and done the truck is empty and headed for McCall, ID for some groceries and couldn't hit even close to 20 MPG?!?! WTH! What I think happens is the ECM/PCM tend to anticipate the drivers requirements / load requirements. I'm assuming mine will return to normal here shortly after a few empty miles. I know there is no documentation on this but I've heard stories of this for GM products... I think it could be possible for Dodge/Cummins too.

  11. Another great article added to the site... http://articles.mopar1973man.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=50:engine-how-to-change-your-oilfilter&catid=14&Itemid=115 Thank you ISX.
  12. Yeah those are wiped out...
  13. That's what tripods are good for...
  14. Do it! I'd love to add more information to this more the merrier...
  15. How a pic of the truck? Dang I would of thrown the deer in the bed of the truck and made jerky out it... The only thing I can say about common rail is to get the best fuel filter you can for the truck and don't skimp. Most all injector problems turn into big dollar engine problems that usually require a short block. So if there is a existing injector problem on the truck I would tell them you'll only buy the truck if all 6 injectors are replaced.
  16. Dare to be different. Now that I think about I don't think they have short bed 3500 DRW...
  17. The cheap nylon oil pressure line will get rather brittle in about a year or two so when you put your hand down to get to the power steering cap you'll most likely break the line right there. :banghead: Been there and done that way to many times... I still got a stock of extra ferrules...
  18. Opps my bad I thought I pasted the link... :banghead: http://www.campingworld.com/shopping/product/inteli-power-rv-switcherconverter/1768
  19. Well I know some of you seen my firewood video now here is a short video clip of the life of my BHAF... My first BHAF last 7 years and 135K miles before I finally gave up because the media was finally darkening on the inside of the filter but the filter minder never moved. I've check the filter minder several times and it still functions just fine...
  20. Thank you ISX you always had a good way of handling videos... Nice one for oil changes...
  21. Talk to DieselAutoPower... (The post above)
  22. I totally agree there is no reason for that...
