  1. You have to leave Airplane mode off. Airplane mode is to stop all RF radios from transmitting any signal at all. So leave Airplane mode OFF. Now the device is Android or iDevice? Older transmitter heads for Quadzilla is Bluetooth for Android and WiFi for iDevices. Now the newer radio heads have both WiFi for apple products and Bluetooth for Android products. It might be a goo idea to make sure all the apps are up to date since Airplane mode is on. It will not update any software being all radios are turned off. Make sure your pair is good I've seen the pair key fail at times and refuse connection. Typically just got to delete the pair and start over. Have you rebooted the device recently? It does help to reboot from time to time.
  2. Turn OFF airplane mode and it will work just fine. Airplane mode shuts off all the different radios on the mobile device. So no Bluetooth or WiFi.
  3. I would try a reflash of the box making sure you have the latest and greatest firmware. Then verify you have the right tune file for the version. If the tunes are not loading I would opt for building a new version. This would build a tune for the version of app your using.
  4. TOTALLY AGREE! Being I'm in the mountains and do a lot of up and down grades I feel the 3.73 ratio is really optimal for power and MPG wise. Even towing is better. If your more midwest I would still hang towards the 3.73 ratio but not as tight being I've done 27.2 MPG on stock tires and 3.55 gears (Edge Comp, +75 HP injectors, and stock HX35W turbo).
  5. I took the stock line and crimping it shut then folded it over again.
  6. @Quadzilla Power Has any one here done 400+ miles on just a half tank of fuel? I filled up in Cascade ID heading to Stanley ID. Spent a day hot spring jumping. Then ended up coming home early because a family emergency. Now I went home the long way to avoid construction delays on Hwy 55. I'm right here at 425 miles and barely above 1/2 tank. Just The Beast chilling' at the Motel in Lowman, ID. We stayed at the Sourdough lodge. Nice place. Yes tire sizes and final ratio have HUGE impact in MPG and then the proper tuning on the Quadzilla. As for the proper ratio to look for is closer to 3.73 for good efficiency. You should see about 2,000 RPMs at 65 MPH. This nets the best MPG numbers over any other setup. Larger tires with extra rotational mass will cost you this good MPG number. As you can see I'm running factory steel rims, with 245/75 R16 tires (30.5 inches). Yup I was there... @Wet Vetteenjoying the Kirkham hot springs... (Kirkham Hotsprings, 2021) As for the Quadzilla tuning seriously over advancing the 1,500 RPM band higher than needed will cost you. I typically see about 550 to 575 EGT's at 65 MPH on this last trip. I had speeds limits of as low as 35 MPH in places to max of 65 MPH. I ran just at speed limit. I can't cheat this... If you want what I'm running... I just released my tune.
  7. Has any one done 400+ miles in just a half tank of fuel? Yes tires and gear ratio have huge effect with custom tuning. Something you can do with diesel but not gas. From Casade ID to Stanley ID then all the way home.
  8. Good example I can give... Just like Me78569 was an auto during this time. Autos can start out higher in timing because of the torque converter and amount of slip it has unlocked. Where a manual once the clutch is engaged you have zero slip and need a bit more retard to build power fast.
  9. Fuel could be anything you wish. Of course too much fuel will produce black smoke. Too little and it will be weak in power Timing is based on fuel injector size and pop pressure. This can vary quite a bit from truck to truck. Retard amounts and advance amounts again can vary truck to truck. I need specs. Turbo size Injector size and pop pressure Transmission type Axle gear ratio Tire size
  10. If it was a 1 ton frame and axles it should be fine. It will have more inset on the front which is normal. Typically the one ton tires are 215/85 R16 or 235/85 R16.
  11. Typically the front are same as the rear but flipped inward. You've got 3/4 ton wheels in the front and 1 ton in the rear. I've got 3/4 ton all the way around. (Lowman, Idaho)
  12. Lil' Red was about a 14 to 16 MPG at best. Never put a lot effort in Lil' Red. Now its no longer my problem. SOLD.
  13. People forget I deal with hundreds of Dodge Cummins trucks. I've seen the absolute worst with 37 inch tires on 3.55 gears. I've help several get 18 to 21 MPG with bad set ups. Yes final ratio makes a huge impact. Like Beast with 245s which lands me at 3.69. Like my last high mark at 28.04 MPG. Then fix Thor with 33 inch tires and changed back to 265's brought it back to 3.73 final and gained 4 MPG putting me close to 19 MPG.
  14. Yes. The calculation is the same for gas or diesel. Just Cummins does better around 2k RPM at 65 MPH. I was running the same ratio on Lil' Red. 215/85 R16 on 3.55 put nearly the same like 3.65. On Lil' Red the 4 speed auto is taller in 4th. So the out come it a bit lower RPM.
  15. People forget I deal with hundreds of Dodge Cummins trucks. I've seen the absolute worst with 37 inch tires on 3.55 gears. I've help several get 18 to 21 MPG with bad set ups. 16. Not sure on gasser for final ratio. At least for or Cummins trucks it between 3.55 to 3.73 for optimal final ratio. Just remember every 1 pound of rotational mass you add is like adding 8 pounds to the frame.
  17. Totally up to you if you want to paint or not to paint. There is spray paints that do match the factory dash.
  18. Any P0216 codes for sure? Is the key in the key way? Is the the key sheared (not lined up)? The only other I've seen is a cracked nozzle on a 1994 Dodge Cummins the nozzle cracked and would haze, then as you drove it was fairly good amount of white smoke, turn black on heavy throttle clear back up to the haze white.
  19. Typically when injectors wear past 100k miles the pop pressure falls and the droplets get bigger. Again needing more timing to vaporize, and go BANG! Injectors are a wearable item and should be replaced every 100k miles to be optimal.
  20. Smoke typically a sign of lack of timing. I barely smoke still 150 HP injectors. I generate a small cloud during launch but clears up completely. I know you've tried Quadzilla and backed out. Honestly it would be the best solution.
  21. Funny... Get moved and give me a call. I live in New Meadows (20 miles north), but work between McCall and Donnelly both.
  22. As for the AC noise problem... You need a digital multimeter that can measure down to mV AC. Typically found on high quality meters like Fluke. So basically measure the AC voltage at the charge stud of the alternator and ground. Should be 50mV AC or less. After the W-T ground mod it will drop below 15mV AC. Again look at the meter and be sure it got a setting for mV AC.
  23. Keep us posted hopefully you have a good smooth week. That would tell me the Edge Module has failed.
  24. I've seen a few older Edge Modules leak water inside and the circuit board was corroded. Im not sure if your module might be leaking moisture inside.
  25. I would ditch the Edge and go for a ride. If the module is bad (hardware and/or software) could be causing these issues. Now if you fully unplug all the Edge and go for a ride and no issues I would have to say your Edge died...
