  1. Most likely a syncro issue maybe or pilot bearing issue. Pilot bearing fell out of my South Bend Clutch and ruined the input shaft but it made shifting down troublesome. Syncro wise you could have the same issues too. I just lost 2 sets of brass syncros (defective). The first set 3rd and 4th gear were just hard both up or down. Second set I lost 2nd gear syncro now that's a pain in traffic to struggle with launch again. I'm now running brass syncros and doing good. Still running Mobil 50 SAE GL-4 fluid Synthetic. 412k miles and rolling again. NV4500 with dual disc Valair Clutch
  2. Never used a steering box brace ever and still tracks straight. I dropped the 265's and went to 235's for many years. Now I'm running 245's tires and 412k miles later still straight and tight. The only reason I would even suggest a brace is if your seriously going offroad or 4 wheeling. Daily driver won't gain much from the brace.
  3. Oh... Just called my bank to inform them I would be traveling for work reasons... They informed me that I MUST call before each purchase so the fraud protection doesn't trip. After arguing for over an hours I told them I'm done and will no longer be using there services. I'm in the process of transferring to a new bank...
  4. @JAG1Finally I got the parking brake fixed today! @dripley I've been the same way crossing into Ontario, OR and Clarkston, WA for the last 3 months. No issues now Fraud Protection is kicking my . Now I've called around and talked to several banks and the trend is you must call before travel which personally think its time. I think part of this is because the amount of people home with COVID-19 lock down. There must of been a spike in electronic crime. @NIsaacs I've been that way for 20 years and travelled all over the place. Never have I had to call the bank to tell them I'm travelling or have to use their app so it tracks my location.
  5. I would just find screws of like size and thread and just set the idle position for what you need on the APPS sensor. Remember what type your adjusting for. Never adjust a stock for the voltage on the tag. ALWAYS below by 0.2 volts is safe. On a Timbo's APPS you have to adjust for the rise of voltage then back off 1 full turn. Max throttle screw needs to be enough to keep it from throwing a hi volt code.
  6. Seriously... this is stupid and pain in the . I've been buying fuel and parts from Ontario for the last 5 years no issue. I've been shopping now in Lewiston, ID and Clarkston WA and there was never a issue. Like yesterday I was denied at the very same Maverik Fuel station I've been using for 5 years in Payette, ID. Explain this one... But all my purchases in Lewiston and Clarkston have gone without a problem.
  7. OBDLink MX... https://www.obdlink.com/mxbt/
  8. Yes sir. The local NAPA (Council, ID) actually had the full 4 set of bearings and races.
  9. Just trying to find a full set of 4 matching bearing is near impossible for me. Let a lone just asking for Timken's.
  10. Well as for the RV I've been hunting yesterday. After 10 hours of driving down to Ontario and back home again. I found the wheel bearings at my local NAPA but then got my brake cable from O'reilly's down in Ontario. Make the day bad my bank now for the 5th time has shut down my debit card because it was stolen. WTF? It's still in my hands. So after a layover for an hour arguing with the bank I was finally able to get fuel in @Wet Vette Hyundai and then get a bite to eat. Just purchasing my brake cable in Ontario trip the fraud protection. even though on Tuesday I bought 1,100 dollars worth of tires but a $26 dollar brake cable is consider fraud. Go figure. Then just for making the trip later it now starts to rain this morning so, installing bearings isn't going to happen today. I'll get the truck parking brake done that's it. It was awesome to have the guys stop by and hang out for a few days. I sure do miss both of them already and wish the weather was nice when they were here. I never got to show them much of anything because of the weather. Been raining just about every day. I'm still planning on going south...
  11. Kind of like racing @Wet Vette 2018 Hyundai Elantra. It only weighs in at barely 3,500 pounds with both of in the car on a scale. Now my truck is right at 7,500 pounds with both of us in the cab. 500 HP or so will cream her little car. Now my 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 with a 46RE and 5.9L Magnum gas engine she creams me every time. Even though the 1996 only weighs in at 5,500 pounds but its barely 200 some odd HP with dynamic transmission.
  12. This is what I have for articles...Most likely nothing wrong with the rings... Here is 350k miles on mine.
  13. My head after 350k miles... Smokes every morning before... Smell of burnt engine oil. Need head gasket, head trued, 425 studs, and replaced 18 valve guides and all 24 valve seals. Total cost for me was $2,000.00
  14. The only photo I didn't see is the alignment mark on the dampener face. There is a tick mark for the weight and then a tick mark for the center they should line up.
  15. Back check the passenger side battery voltage. Could be the red bridge lead across the radiator I've seen this before just weak connections. Second I highly suggest the W-T ground wire mod and my protection fuse mod.
  16. Check error codes. Possible bad torque converter. What is the fluid color in the trans? When was the last fluid change, filter and band adjustment?
  17. For once @JAG1 had no repairs and just came ot hang out. @IBMobile just had the wheel bearing issue on the passenger side. Then myself I'm nearly the end. Fresh rubber on the truck and the lil car too. Brake cable is ordered today and I gotta run to Ontario to get it. Then While I'm there I'm going to pick up the wheel bearing on the RV. Looking to make it down to Bullhead City Arizona soon.
  18. Need to just talk to @Dynamic. I've had my 1996 Dodge 1500 upgraded on Dynamic design and it works awesome. Then @IBMobile was here and I was driving his truck and wow! With full lock up through the gear that truck is just flat mean with 4.10 gears and 245's tires. Really firm shift and everything. I'm sure Dan said it was a Stage 2 kit in his transmission. My is a modified stage 1 on my V8 gasser.
  19. @Me78569 could you make this for the 4k series for the gent?
  20. Add in the work done. I went on a ride with @IBMobile he started to have wheel bearing issues on the passenger side. I made the run to Lewiston, ID to get the unit bearing for him. Dan got his front wheel bearing. Next we started to play with bearing on my trailer the first one we check had metal. I'm just going to pick up all 4 axle bearings and repack. My RV is going to get serious milage this time. I've got an appointment at 11am today to get new rubber on @Wet Vette Hyundai and new rubber on my truck. Tires are already been order and delievered to Riggins, ID and a killer price. All in all it been a blast having both @IBMobile and @JAG1 here.
  21. Manual transmissions all will launch without any throttle. The ECM governor will throttle up to hold the 800 RPM's. Like on my truck with such large injectors (7 x 0.010) its more likely to stall without throttle because the ECM can't react fast enough at times. With stock or near stock RV275 (Stock RV injectors for motorhomes) then they normal launching will occur.
  22. I've towed both ways with a WD hitch and without. On heavy loads like hay hauling or hauling a tractor its not going do much with that trailer tongue when its more closer to 3,000 pounds. Even with my RV at 8,500 GVWR that is 15% on the tongue is roughly 1,275 pounds on the hitch. I will say with a WD hitch is much nicer towing. Without isn't impossible but you can feel a difference.
  23. So far I've got @JAG1 and @IBMobile here at my place. The very first night they got here @IBMobile dove in and fixed my passenger side window. I was having trouble with the window motor jamming up at the bottom. After a bit Dan got it fixed up and all put back together. Thanks IBMobile for the fix! After that looked at his truck and passenger side front bearing is fried out. The next day I had to got to Lewiston for supplies anyways so I ran and got Dan's front wheel bearing and got it here. Today I've got a few side projects to handle like Tracie Reed and here 2010 6.7L Cummins and few other thing but I've got to get focused on getting my RV ready to go. Oh another weird on was on the first night that both JAG1 and IBMobile showed up good ol Chicken Man called up. Yes your right @dripley. He called up and we had a 4 person get together. JAG1 and IBMobile both enjoyed the phone call and everyone got a good laugh from it all. Really haven't had a lot of time with the guys yet but there is always today... (IBMobile on the left and JAG1 on the right)
