  1. No Moog No Spicer AC Delco has been good. NAPA has been good.
  2. 265's and smaller tires are absolutely safe. With tires that are 265's and smaller, you can upgrade to a quick ratio steering box. My factory box had ZERO wear. It was the slat and rust that ruined the input seal of my steering box. Ryan @Blue-Top Steering said my box was still in excellent condition and was sold mere minutes later. Our boxes don't really wear out just need some rebuilding and seal replaced. Seal kits can be purchased from Blue Top Steering as well.
  3. Check the bottom of the exhaust manifold for cracks. Check for boost leaks. Most people upgrade turbos too soon. You could have ran a stock HX35 with +75 injectors.
  4. Call them first with the information you might have to send the PCM as well.
  5. Handheld radio has no electrical connection to the truck. This is all RF (Radio Frequency) energy causing this. In the owners manual, there is a section about how caution should be used with strong RF signals in the vehicle. If you had an external antenna it might resolve this issue.
  6. Capacitance? I'll have to listen to mine but typically rocking out to music or just not paying attention to it.
  7. Edge Juice is only made for stock injectors. You'll have the same problem as @dripley you'll have to control the smoke with your right foot or go back to RV275 injectors. Or dump the Edge Juice and upgrade to Quadzilla and tune out the smoke. Like most of us are running +150 HP injectors on Quadzilla and have pretty good control over the smoke.
  8. Time to call ACS on either warranty claim... Might be the PCM failing.
  9. I never put $700 in a steering box. Just ditch the monster wheels and tires and you'll do like @dripley and myself have for years pretty much trouble free steering.
  10. No bus is most likely a CCD network failure. PCM creates the CCD network. The cluster sets the bias voltage. Then the error code...
  11. This is because the how tune on the Edge Comp is wrong. Timing is wrong and so is the fuel map. Like I'm now figuring out you need a fairly deep amount of retard to make the turbo spool and clean the smoke up quickly. This is missing in the Edge Comp being it was designed around smaller injectors and doesn't give enough timing afterward so part of the fuel is wasted in smoke. Then the lead in fuel map is too much and there is no way to spool fast enough to control the smoke.
  12. Pull the injectors and send them to DAP and they can pin measure the nozzle. Then pop test the injectors. Then you'll know exactly what you have for injectors. If there is over 100k miles on the injectors I would consider replacement.
  13. Edge as lacks in proper timing as well. Being you went 75HP injectors your timing map is mostly bit retarded. Edge has no timing adjustments.
  14. Typically no black smoke or fuel knock. Just typically hard starting and WTS light typically on. Like, in this case, WTS wasn't on but P0087 error code and hard starting.
  15. Scan Gauge II and others will misreport the MAP sensor. Being Cummins uses a special kind of math to report boost correctly.
  16. Bought it back at like 12k miles and paid $700 for Dodge to install it.
  17. 265k miles on the transmission before I broke the main shaft. Already at 114k miles on this transmission. As for the reduction in transmission life, I would say no. Huge reduction in brake wear, no impact on transmission or clutch. Exhaust brake has no wear factor.
  18. P0216 and that smoke the VP44 is shot.
  19. I try to start and roll as quickly as possible. Warm up is actually bad to leave them to sit and idle excessively in the cold. Cold air intake makes this worse too. Then there is the grid heaters attempting to keep the air warm and adding ton of electrical load on the alternator which is a great way to fry the diodes.
  20. Excessive idle time cold. Tar up the valve stems and WHAM! Piston bent the valve. Symptom/Condition: Extended idle operation, especially in cold weather, can lead to stuck valves and bent push-tubes due to insufficient cylinder heat. This allows varnishes/oils to condense on the exhaust valve stems, leading to stuck valves, and damaged valve train components. A new software feature, enabled or disabled through the DRB III (See instructions under Repair Procedure), reduces the chance of valve sticking and improves cab heat warm-up time.
  21. Just wait till the alternator fuse blows and whatever that is that red wire powering will most likely burst into flames when the charge voltage goes over 20 volts. This is something I wish AirDog would take out of there install manual. Anything hooked to the alternator line will instantly burn up when the fuse blows this includes electronic devices or electric motors. Why? Because the PCM will no longer see the charge voltage and will crank up the field to max power so the alternator no longer connected it will fry anything hooked to it. NEVER hook anything to the alternator line between the fuse and the alternator you asking for vehicle fire for sure.
  22. Got the choice of parking the truck again which its been parked for over 9 months. At least now the owner can drive it. Because the "pups" though is was emission equipment which it wasn't, so he's already spent a ton load and never really drove the truck since he bought it used and still paying for the truck. Between truck payments and repairs kind of hard to toss down $4,000 in injectors.
  23. You can remove those switches and replace them. Might be able to spray contact cleaner in them as well.
