  1. T if possible. I don't like the idea of toe change when going over bumps with Y style.
  2. Ok, makes sense. I'm using same coolant you are now. I got a case left yet, 3 gallons, concentrate. Should be set for a while.
  3. I see it now, I was looking at caps themselves, though they were flipped around not the entire rod like you mentioned, it takes me several times to read something to understand sometimes.
  4. So other then freeze point no other side effects like ph imbalance with higher coolant dosage?
  5. That question was for @04Mach1
  6. Are you positive there is no codes, I'm just trying to think and it hurts lol. I feel your pain though, my truck been through similar issues and it sucks. You'd think if it was electrical, it would throw a code, that's why I suggested injectors. Mine acted like that and injectors and alternator did the trick. I never had any codes ether, was very frustrating. I would of changed the VP in a heart beat if I had the code, glad I didn't now. I'd hate for you to change it and not fix it. Now wondering if your pop is too high? But at same time I don't think so. Yes data log wold help to see what drops out. I belive you reset it as you drive and start dataloging and attempt to have problem come back as soon as you get your symptoms pull over and see if you can save the dataloging file, by exporting it.
  7. I looked at your article but still not sure what I'm looking at, must be a very minor difference that I can't spot. How much is one of these fso8406 in good shape, and can it be used in 4x4. I'm sure anything is possible, just wondering what it would take. I'm hoping my nv56 lasts a long time, but if it goes and I can't find one reasonable your way would be on the list.
  8. Yeah that sucks... I don't know if I like that whole oring idea on pipes, another place to leak but I guess it's easier to install maybe.
  9. Can't remember did you do ground mod and checked alternator? Fuel pressure staying above 14? So is Cummins in the Ford? Or you have 2 trucks
  10. So reworking injectors helped and now it's back to same thing?
  11. So what happens if a guy mixes 60/40 or even 70/30 more coolant then water
  12. Thanks @IBMobile ^^^^^ Make sure you go through the whole tread, there were more than one option on doing it. As you'll see i was a bit confused but in the end did cut the right wire, Edit Now I'm thinking about adding another switch to disable blower motor. On longer hwy travels there's enough air moving through that I don't think blower needs to be on at all. This would be beneficial in nice weather, where no ac is required and not to cold where you can still adjust air temp hotter and just have the head wind forcing some in cab. I don't like air blowing in my face on 1st speed of blower but if it was half that it may be ok. Idk just another idea, once again on my car that's possible.
  13. That would explain it. It also may explain my dead spot at 1000rpm when engine is cold. I actually bumped my 0 PSI to 80 from 76 and it seemed to help.
  14. @Me78569 why is my truck even with 7x10 doesn't smoke at all in worm up mode, isn't warm up mode a factory setting same as if quad was on level 0, I can't remember forgive me.
  15. I got mine on a switch, thanks to @IBMobile love it...
  16. I would see how inside looks like before I'd commit to do the whole thing. But yeah I'd go with studs. If you got time and money I guess you could go through the whole engine. That was my tactic back in the day, if I knew I was doing head gaskets I just did the whole thing. These were just sbc and sbf in older trucks, pretty easy to get done. I personally don't think you need overhaul especially if it was taken care of, like good oil and coolant. You’ll know more when you get the head off.
  17. I love my set up at the moment, I don't even use wiretap anymore I have plenty of power the way it is.
  18. But pistons aren't made out of aluminum, it's some sort of mix of alloys. I heard that our motors were designed to run 1200 continously and plenty of people got it to 1600-1800 for short time. Not saying it's the thing to do but it's been done. I usually try to stay below 1200 but before I knew much have towed up longer hills with 1200+ for a while, I now downshift and slowdown. Not just for engine but transmission too.
  19. You can try filling Heater core with https://clrbrands.com But if it had leaks it will open them up
