Quadzilla adrenaline for mpg's is it worth it?
- Torque Converter Acting Weird
You have quad and you're saying above 140 it doesn't do it, 140 is where quad takes over control from ecm coincidence- Torque Converter Acting Weird
I forgot is cps on a 5volt reference circuit ? That shares other sensors like oil sending unit. I remember @Me78569 had an issue with something, oil sensor was internally shortened out and messing with the 5 volt reference. Or it could be your tone ring on the crankshaft, there were others that had this issue with the tone ring coming loose. I think you could see the tone ring through the sensor hole, maybe try rotating the engine while you looking inside, at the same time using a screwdriver see if that ring is loose. I'm not saying stick a screwdriver in there and turn the engine, I'm sure you know that.- IT NEW HEAD TIME!
That makes more sense than my Mamba Jamba. Some days I feel like saying something without thinking too hard before I do. There was a thread @TFaoro had on rebuilding his engine, he also p pumped it which I wouldn't recommend for normal use. I believe he went with all factory Cummins stuff, I want to say he did use some Marine parts. Maybe things like bearings and pistons, I can't remember. If you're planning on more hp, I would say putting in studs, better push rods, valve springs and like I mentioned earlier if you do disassemble the head I would spend $80 at least that's what I was quoted, to machine seats for valve seals so you can use top hat style. I keep saying it because there are few of us had issues with valve seals coming off the guide after head rebuilds. I did quite a bit of work trying to figure out how to use ford seals, but according to another member they didn't work with his factory springs. I went with aftermarket springs from Manton push rods and and Ford top hat seals worked fine with that combo. You're not going to have an issue with valve seal unless you pushing a lot of boost or have a lot of drive pressure, apparently I did.- Quadzilla adrenaline for mpg's is it worth it?
If you're buying for mpg only if say no it's not worth it. There are other things you can do for mpg like driving slower reduce drag etc. I mean if you spend 700 and gain 1-2 mpg because of better timing, how long will it take to get money back, the more expensive the fuel the quicker the return I suppose. What I'm trying to say is if you drive it like you stole it then quad will make it worse because you'll be loving extra power and using it, if you already done everything to gain mpg then quad may give you another 1-2 mpg because of timing in right places. Long term yes it does worth it and not just for mpg, but if you drive less then 10k a year idk... @Mopar1973Man got best mpg with edge, I believe 27 ? and driving at 55-60 I got pretty close to that last summer few times if I drive 60 I just have 0 patience going that slow. Sorry I'm starting to mumble again, what I'm trying to say is, does quad worth it? YES would I get it just for mpg, probably not.- IT NEW HEAD TIME!
I want to know too, wow. I beat my truck pretty hurd more than once before taking the head off and luckily the head and everything else was still good, I was nervous when I took it in to get checked out as a lot of people had cracked heads with these 24v. Yours must of ran hot or something, too much timing maybe idk, valves hit pistons how does that happen on an engine that's gear driven no timing belt to break. Unless it dropped a valve before and was fixed then sold, probably when they seen cracks in the head just replaced a valve and called it a day. Idk just mumbling...- IT NEW HEAD TIME!
I would personally not trust "new" assembled crate head from someone, done that before and almost ruined an engine on different vehicle I had. If there's a shop you trust, take it in and have them go through it. If it was me I'd have the valve seal seats machined to be able to use top hat style seals. Then again I'm different. I know some people use a 6.7 head not sure what's all involved, maybe worth looking into. Also later 6.7 heads had better trunions that have oil galleys to keep them from wearing out prematurely. If you don't go with a 6.7 head a place look into some trunions from newer style heads. I believe @dripley got some for his truck.- Crossover Tubes - Replace vs. Reuse
I've changed a few sets of injectors since I own my truck and who knows how many times they've been changed before I got it. I've never changed crossover tubes just the o rings and washers, never had an issue. You just have to pay attention to what you're doing, look over mating surfaces real careful. I had issues with my lines sipping a little fuel where they connect to the Head aka crossover tube, after using some very very fine sandpaper on line ends, no more leaks. As for tuning, you can start with downloading a tune from this site closest one you could find to match your truck and needs, then fine tune it from there. I'd recommend creating another identical tune and play with that vs adjusting the one you download so you can always fall back on something. With time you'll figure it all out and make your own tunes no problem.- Moving to almost the great white north.

Sorry guys I don't mean for this topic to divide us in any way. Luckily so far we still have some choices and we can only do what we think is right for each one of us. I think this whole deal been blown way out of proportion to push certain agendas one of which is to keep us divided, so let's at least not let them do that- Armored 2nd Gen...just in case
Ether way I look at it it doesn't look great for people like us, only those with big corporations seem to benefit from all this garbage that's going on in the world. Guess it's been a plan long ago and we're living the dream.- Armored 2nd Gen...just in case
http://153news.net/watch_video.php?v=MSB3MSMAKY44 What's everyone think about this, do these people have real credentials or is this all fake news. Makes you wonder. So far everyone I know that's got the shot been feeling these exact same symptoms What about this guy https://153news.net/watch_video.php?v=MOBX7D7364DM Think I'm going bold scratching my head- Intermediate steering shaft
I did mine when I had the head off, my bearing wasn't bad but I figured why not. Not saying taking head of is the way to do it did my tappet cover at same time too, two for one I was actually surprised you needed the shaft, can't say I've heard of too many changing them.- quad and emissions test?

It was my step dad's, he traded it for a bike last year, it was a fun boat to go to lake Michigan and few other lakes and rivers we've gone on. He got an older lund with a 115hp Yamaha now, he loves it, but these bastards closed Canada borders just in time for him not to be able to go to his favorite fishing spot. Nicest way of saying it he's not happy about it, work your whole life and then you go to enjoy it and you can't because of some bs.- Great songs Part 2

Little tv that I watch is to see what bs they're pushing, strictly for educational purposes. Anything they push run the other way, anything that gets 24/7 coverage is their creation and agenda.- quad and emissions test?
I know there's quite a bit involved in it, that's why I never jumped on it yet, this college I'm talking about has a small building dedicated to making this bio, other got a lot of fancy equipment in there, maybe they let me take few pictures next time I'm there. I was just thinking out loud about emmisions in general, if we burn let's say brand new vegetable oil, if it made since financially, would it polute less then fossil fuel ? or not... I've heard some say it has 0 polution not sure if I agree because you're still burning something, but it could be more green renewable energy that we grow vs pump out of ground, idk just thinking. Maybe we need to start sticking up on vegetable oil before prices skyrocket on diesel.- Armored 2nd Gen...just in case
Why not just shoot all the traitors, isn't how they were delt with in the passed. They all swear to protect the constitution, never mind the constitution, are we free or are we slaves ? I know most are slaves but I also know there's plenty of free people left that are not scared of boogie man. The choice is yours really, I've made mine long ago, you come take my freedom I'll take yours. "Leave free or die" I can't believe how they got so many scared running to get their shoot for this common cold and they done 0 research on the agenda and the industry. You go to tell them and they look at you like you're crazy, you tell them it's not my opinion it's a fact that is posted on their own websites and still blank stare back. Got most of society dumbed down so much who needs weapons, biggest weapon ever made was TV, get everyone busy chasing dreams and watch tv, they'll have no time left to use their own brains. Not sure how many here know the big picture and end game, but it's not humane at all, infact it's completely opposite. - Torque Converter Acting Weird
