  1. Does anyone know what button he's talking about, I found my module but I see no buttons, it looks like this one. https://www.ebay.com/itm/00-2000-Dodge-Ram-2500-Keyless-Door-Entry-Control-Module-Computer-Unit-04883257/274718869992?chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-117182-37290-0&mkcid=2&itemid=274718869992&targetid=1068215102540&device=m&mktype=pla&googleloc=9018656&campaignid=11612591253&mkgroupid=113642469552&rlsatarget=pla-1068215102540&abcId=9300457&merchantid=101510263&gclid=Cj0KCQjwsLWDBhCmARIsAPSL3_3KetrrlzYpYrDs4taxapVffBX4r4KBfkd6rbLb7SlvJ6WA2xn4DQIaApHlEALw_wcB&pageci=9136ba07-9056-4167-93b7-4cf5266939ba
  2. Sorry to hear about your troubles, wish you all the luck you can get. Maybe she will like it enough, then she can take you camping.
  3. My transmission rattles like crazy when it warms up, when I first bought my truck I've taken it to the train and shop and the guy told me it was normal with aftermarket clutches. I believe you said because some of them don't have springs for dampening the noise and it rolls over into the transmission. Mine been rattling for the last 10 some years with no problems. PO told me he put in a dual disk in, I just don't remember what brand. All I know it's a very grabby clutch, almost no friction zone, it's either on or off. Someday I'll find out what I have, just hope it's not too soon. Also make sure you overfill your fluid by at least a quart, this is a whole other debate.
  4. I like my hand cooked dynapros
  5. Got instructions from the seller of a remote. Going to try this later today, if I can find that button is talking about. 1. Open the driver's door. Drivers door MUST remain open and interior light on to enter into the programming mode. 2. Turn vehicle ignition on. 3. Press and hold emergency override button. After 10-15 seconds, the siren or horn will sound three (3) times. This indicates that the unit has entered the transmitter programming mode. Keep holding the button. 4. Press the ARM button on the remote transmitter to be programmed. The siren or horn will sound once, indicating that the system has "learned" that remote transmitter. 5. Repeat step 5 for any additional transmitters. 6. Turn the vehicle ignition off and release the emergency override button to exit the programming mode. Test all remote transmitters to ensure that they work properly by toggling the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons.
  6. Not easy to tell from video but to me it sounds like a loose rocker arm. If the noise is definitely coming from the bottom I would guess it's more in the bell housing than the engine, it seems that more noises in that area are associated with clutches vs engines. Although @TFaoro had a knock he couldn't figure it out and ended up rebuilding his engine. I don't think he ever found out what the cause of the knock was.
  7. Guess I never use mine and now I'm afraid to You shure something didn't get jammed in a hinge making it not want to go back down
  8. He knows, although not my real dad, he's as close as one can get. He got 3 kids my age too, 2 daughters that seem to think too much of them selves and a son that's been working with him painting houses for a while now, I did that years ago when my mom first met him then I moved on, hes been wanting for his son to take over his little business so he can go fishing more often, just not sure when he'll be ready to put big boys pants on. He said you and him can split it, but I told him I didn't want to be in family business, seems it never ends well. We're better of this way, plus I got a decent job with benefits now for last 13 years, kinda hard to quit, part of the reason I'm still driving here every day 70ml one way after we moved. All wife's fault too and now I'm not even sure what to do with her oh.. life.. so awesome....
  9. Well got my fob today and had no luck in programming. My original is only a 2 button, luck and unlock no panic button. Maybe it hand one at one time but I only got the one with 2 buttons. I tried anyway holding the unlock for 5 seconds with key on and while holding the original remote in that position I hit the unlock on the one I just got and locks cycled like the truck responded to it but it didn't store that memory. May need to go to the dealer and have it programed together with high idle and adjust my tire size. or I can forget about it too and go work on drinking beer
  10. Especially when that's my pay at dads house, he says he'll help me every time, ends up sitting in a comfy chair drinking my pay and smoking cigars. I try to hurry up and get the job done so I can join him but always find something else needs to be fixed at his place.
  11. Poop happens, I got to work on a 96 454 changing lower intake gaskets, it was kind of fun . Truck always had a slight misfire and I'm now finding out that for a few years GM decided to do some sort of cam retard timing along with regular timing and all other fun things associated with 1345 code. Once i figure that out I get to figure out where oil is leaking from, oil pan or rear main, neither one sounds like fun. @JAG1
  12. Put it in gear and keep holding the clutch in see what happens in few minutes, I almost ran into a wall when my slave started bleeding internally at 135k ml. Couldn't tell it was going bad driving, because I never have the clutch in very long. I was at work in garage and someone was talking to me while I had it in gear, about 30 seconds later truck started to move forward, I barely yanked it out of gear in time.
  13. Maybe hydraulics getting old and bleeding by internally sucking some air in, how old are hydraulics. Could be something wore internally, like synchros or shift forks
  14. I got one coming from eBay has same fcc code and looks identical to the one I have, we'll see how it looks like and if I can program it when it shows up. https://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-OEM-CHRYSLER-KEYLESS-REMOTE-START-ENTRY-KEY-FOB-PHOB-TRANSMITTER-GOH-M24/154201635785?pageci=afebdaec-9cbb-4082-94e9-ab0c8ee72e55&epid=1023257766
  15. More work for @Mopar1973Man
  16. I found some that use panic button, but mine doesn't have that button only lock/unlock
  17. All this fob talking I just realized I only have one and it works fine right now. It sounds like if you have a working fob you can program a new one using the existing. Does anyone know how to do that ?
  18. Maybe module masters @Mopar1973Man would know more, or even acs/auto computer specialist
  19. They made it sound like they did in description, saying we blend this and that to keep it stronger, bla, bla, bla but yeah if color is close and no need to paint or trim to fit, I'm thinking I'm going with them. Time to blow some money still better then a payment on a vehicle.
  20. Found where the trim code is on the door sticker, it's under the barcode where it says Trim guess mine is dark gray according to quick search ( R1AZ )
  21. It looks like they offer 3 colors, I'm looking at 56-7411-DG dark gray. How do I know what I have, it looks like dark gray to me I'm pretty sure I'll go with LMC, not that Geno's isn't good, just LMC makes them and Geno's gets them, for all I know from LMC
  22. Part of the reason I'm leaning towards lmc, sounds like no need to paint with dark gray, hopefully it'll be close enough. Plus they say they put something special in the plastic to make it last longer too, I suppose I can paint it if I choose, but I'm hoping it'll be a close enough match. I never cared to paint plastic, seems to wear off after a while anyway.
  23. They had different options for bezel, one with vents for $180 and without for $80 my vents are fine, I'll reuse them. Dash is $260 then it says +20 just because and like $60 shipping. Plus tax I think. You may be right, I might save on shipping buying both together.
  24. Mine is half gone, maybe I'll try that too. It'll justify buying the wheel
