  1. What's it do to timing, too much timing towing may not be good
  2. Yeah I sold mine for 3500,should of kept it but no room.
  3. Someone I know has a tesla, they get about 300 mile range depends on driving stile. There is a guage like instant mpg type, more accessories you use faster you go etc the worst of it is. But they put fill stations for them free of charge if you own one usually next to bigger stores, so you plug it in and go shopping. Price tag on average one is around 100k , these people are software engineers, so there is that. They live in their own words. This is a post of one of them bubed dueces. His prices definitely went up over the years. I was able to buy one for 7-8k 10 years ago in really nice shape, with a winch and a heater, Hard or soft top. You can build one but takes some time and equipment to do it. https://cedarrapids.craigslist.org/cto/d/custom-deuce-truck-x-trailer/6208956003.html
  4. I'll be keeping mine as long as I can
  5. Somehow they forgot that electricity comes from mainly burning coal and small percentage of hydro and solar, o and environment friendly nuclear.
  6. Friend of mine had a truck on 44s with dinky half ton axles, every time it would do death wobble he'd drive right in to ditch without slowing down and come back on the road, not recommended bit seemed to work for him. There are days I wonder why we're still alive.
  7. I used to have couple of duce and halfs, ( friend of mine has about 60 now he chops them up and sells them as 4x4 on 46s or 52s) I kinda got him into this but he loves it. drove them every where got right at 10 mpg no matter what and lots of confused people. All mechanical I loved it, but.... 55 is about top speed unles on 52s then you could squeeze 70 maybe. not very comfortable and military screwed up not putting lockers in and using **** for tires thats how supersingles ca me about. Got them at government action for peanuts, took forever to get them legalized/registered and had to sign a form that said if dot ever decide they are not road worthy they have a right to revoke plates. Least to say I had fun with mine, I left them as 6x6 and instead chopped a junk one up for parts and lifted my 76 chevy, learnd a lot there. I can keep going on this story but here is a link to my chanel, you can kinda see my life pattern till I got married and hardly any videos lately. Now waiting for kids to grow up a bit and slowly get them of wife's iPad onto a quad to start with.
  8. Yeah I've been calling mine a bitc. lately but it's my bitc.. and I can do so, and on side note it needs to know who the boss is, I keep telling myself.
  9. I feel much better now, thanks guys. That's why we hang out here maybe (part of reasons at least ) we understand each other and have things in common. Things that you just can't explain to some. Got to have it in your blood
  10. Yeah explain that to my wife. Me: Honey it's a good idea to keep my truck it's paid for I like it, enjoy driving it and comes in handy. Her: you always working on it, if it's not one thing it's another. Me: well it's an older vehicle it needs things once in a while. Her: it just seems like every few months you're fixing it, would of been better off buying a new one and trade it in before it breaks. Me: yeah but we don't want another payment, already have one on yours plus it will never be ours and they don't make em like they used to and price on a similar truck is way high I'd rather keep fixing mine. Her: well it's not just money it's your time too. Get a smaller truck I'm sure they're cheapper. So are you done fixing it now. Me: for now yes it runs great but I can't see the future. And smaller truck take as much fuel and not something I want. Her: what else can possibly go wrong you must off fixed everything on it by now. Me: anything is possible, I try to take care of my things, you know. And this never stops, in her mind I'm an idiot, in my mind I'm doing a right thing. Most of her friends have new cars, house etc, but hardly any of them have anything to their name, bank owns it all. But they say we live once might as well engoy it. To each their own I guess. Funny thing, I spoke with Zach and kinda told him why I even got a turbo and had to spend money on head and seems like something else breaks, thought about maybe selling it few times but like it too much to do so. Well his reply was just like all of us think, yeah whatever you do don't get rid of it, I thought the same thing and sold mine for a newer one and still fixing it just more expensive. So this is for everyone that might feel this way once in a while.
  11. At least you didn't go for a few hundred mile drive
  12. Well then for some reason town I live in had one of each, and I went to 3 different stores trying to get both mopar brackets. I'm over it now, been working fine, I did rebuild calipers and one is starting to hang up again probably only have 15k on rebuild. Rebuild kit was from China though.
  13. No coincidence, thing is growing testicles, I mean tentacles. Spoke with Zach today, he was really cool about everything, heard me out and send him few pictures of problems I had. I also explained him more on v2 tuning and gave him a link. He sounded exited. And he did say that using rtv is often what they recommend to seal compressor housing, obviously common sense is required on the amount of rtv.
  14. Here it is, it's here again. Parked one space over, you can see all the wet spots from yesterday
  15. Went on a 200 mile trip and I like it, no oil leaks boost is a little laggy but I'm getting used to it. After taking care of boost leaks it spools sooner and less smoke on take off. I swear this truck is alive and messing with me. The whole reason I had a turbo build is to keep the exhaust brake. So on the way home went to use it and nota, stopped at gas station and made sure nothing was obviously broken or lose. After few minutes it hit me. There is a control box that mounts under steering column, and it has a small adjustment screw. So when you use EB and forget to shut it off or just hit the go pedal it will disengage EB for you. So it was just out of adjustment. What are the chances of it malfunctioning the time I change turbo.
  16. The reason I was asking is because brackets I bought from O'Reilly we're also new but on closer observation, Juan hat a Mopar emblem stamped into it and the other one didn't. And now that I had them a while one turned rusty and the other almost looks galvanized. Funny because I went to other parts stores just to compare both brackets and they all had same thing. It's almost like they all could get their hands on one original and one aftermarket.
  17. I never did find the guy, I even stayed around for a bit after class. It was also creating nice size poddels of diesel fuel under front of engine along with some oil.
  18. I did same thing to mine for only 50 bucks extra that I would of spent on original replacement. We'll worth it to me. Did them caliper brackets came one original godge and one aftermarket? Assuming you got them in part store.
  19. Because this world is screwed up and most don't care unless forced too.
  20. Haven't found a guy yet, might be in a different class. But yeah lots of rednecks around here
  21. Not to steel your thread but here is something I just seen, looks like spring is about to fall out. Looks like it's installed up side down. I'm in class for work, going to find the owner and see what he has to say.
  22. If you haven't changed oil pressure sensor, I would change it out just to be safe, it can leak internally. I know most will say don't change parts for no reason. Up to you. Definitely check your 5v loop and ground when you find it.
  23. My abs/brake lite come and go, been doing it ever since I greased my front wheel bearings.
  24. Did you check for 5v on map and oil pressure sensor, I believe there are others that may share the loop. I've heard of oil pressure sensor grounding out when oil gets in there and causes everything else in loop to mulfunction.
